Gameweek 37
The following fixtures were previously postponed due to domestic cup matches but have now been added:
Tuesday, May 10 – West Ham vs Man United
Wednesday, May 11 – Liverpool vs Chelsea, Norwich vs Watford, Sunderland vs Everton.
Schedule Re-cap
Long story short, then, five teams – Liverpool, Watford, Everton, West Ham and Man United – have doubles in Gameweek 34 and 37.
United, West Ham, Everton, Palace, Norwich and Watford have no fixture in Gameweek 35, however, due to the FA Cup schedule.
Arsenal, West Brom, Newcastle, Man City and Crystal Palace have one double apiece, in Gameweek 34.
Chelsea, Sunderland and Norwich have one double apiece, in Gameweek 37.
This leaves Everton’s clash with Palace, which was originally pencilled in for Gameweek 35, as the only fixture yet to be rearranged. This is due to the fact that the pair go head-to-head in the FA Cup semi-finals that weekend.
We’ll go into much more detail in future articles but here’s a quick check on what today’s announcement means..
Man City’s trip to Newcastle in Gameweek 34 is preceded by a trip to Chelsea that weekend but the surrounding fixtures are due to promote big investment, with a favourable (WBA, che &new, STO) run between Gameweek 33 and 35.
Newcastle, meanwhile, also host Swansea at St James in Gameweek 34, with a home clash against Palace and trip to Villa in their subsequent three.
United are handed a very promising pair of Gameweek 34 fixtures, with back-to-back home encounters against Villa and Palace. The downside, though, is that they face a blank the following week. Their Gameweek 37 double consists of trips to Norwich and West Ham.
Liverpool look ripe for investment as we prepare for our wildcards, with their schedule from Gameweek 33 onwards (STO, bou & EVE, NEW, swa, WAT & CHE, wba) looking very promising.
In addition to their two doubles and yet-to-be-schedule clash with Palace, Everton also host Southampton, Bournemouth and Norwich in the final five Gameweeks.
Arsenal, meanwhile, play twice at the Emirates in Gameweek 34, as Palace and West Brom pay visit. The Baggies precede their trip to north London with a home match against Watford.
Palace’s double in Gameweek 34 (ars, mun) will struggle to persuade many suitors, though that game in hand against Everton could come in handy further down the line.
West Ham’s trip to Leicester in Gameweek 34 has now been softened by a home encounter with Watford in the same round of fixtures. Like United, they then blank the following week but a pair of home matches in Gameweek 37 (SWA, MUN) is bound to see significant investment, bearing in mind that these are the Hammers’ final two matches at Upton Park before moving ground in the summer.
Watford hit the road in all four of their double fixtures – Gameweek 34 (wba, whu), Gameweek 37 (liv, nor) – and also blank in Gameweek 35. Chelsea also play twice in their double Gameweek 37, making their way to Sunderland and Liverpool.
Elsewhere in Gameweek 37, relegation candidates Norwich (MUN, WAT) and Sunderland (CHE, EVE) are both handed home matches that look vital to their survival hopes.
*We’ll be updating our fixture ticker later today in light of the news and roll out Scouting the Doubles articles nearer the time.

8 years, 12 months agoSo, i'm lagging a bit behing in my league, about 60 points of the top. I have pretty similar teams to my rivals so thinking about doing this to just to something that might gain me some points (Most of them have used WC, DWG and TC, i have all mine left).
With a few hits in the coming weeks i can get a team with about 12 DGWs and som quality SGWs, but that team has quite a few United, West Ham and Everton players (something in the lines of Lukaku, Mori, Smalling, Lingard (will he play?), Martial, Payet and Antonio. Maybe even try to make room for De Gea). They have decent fixtures and blanks in GW 35 so most other players won't have (all of) them on the team. So i play BB in GW 34, then WC in 35 with GW 37 in the back of my mind and then TC in GW 37 on Payet or some other in-form DWG player.
Thoughts?
If Palace - Everton gets rearranged to GW 35 this plan might not work out too well. Also the rotation at the back of United makes it impossible/a gamble to get real DGW bargains there. As I see it, United and Arsenal are the only teams with good DWG matchups in 34 for defensive players.
