Real Madrid’s President, Ramon Calderon, has cast doubt on the possibility of a deal with United for Ronaldo - the biggest indication yet that the winger will remain at Old Trafford.
Whilst Calderon has fought hard to prise Ronaldo from United, it now appears that he is slowly resigning himself to defeat.

As you can see, the new version of the site is live.
The are plenty of changes to the design but I’ve also backed this up with a content explosion that has seen updates to the injury table and the set-piece takers. There’s a new feature entitled the Season Ticker Tape to help with fixture analysis, plus I’ve released the first two updated guides for the season and rounded up the 2007-08 season with my review of the Forwards.
There are a few teething problems and a good few things that still need some updates, including the monthly picks. Keep ‘em peeled though, more changes and updates are coming.
Welcome to the new Scout.

They’ll be a prolonged period of downtime later this evening, after which the new look site will hopefully be live.

There was another twist in the Ronaldo situation today as reports announced that the United man was due to undergo an operation on an ankle injury in Portugal [source].
United officials reportedly met with the player and the Portuguese national team medical staff to discuss an injury Ronaldo apparently carried throughout Euro 2008. Portugal’s team doctor later revealed that the player would go under the knife in “two to three days” but, confusingly, United vehemently contradicted that on their official site but stating that no decision has been made on the injury [source].
