Versus – Ramsey and Barkley

With five weeks of the season now behind us, Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey and Everton’s Ross Barkley have been two of the biggest success stories thus far. Racking up 32 points and 25 points respectively in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, the duo’s displays, allied with their mid-price appeal, continues to tempt huge numbers of new owners.

Drafted in by over 510,000 managers last week, Ramsey has already picked up over 144,000 transfers in since Saturday’s deadline and with 31% ownership, is now the most popular midfielder in the game. Barkley is not far behind – now residing in 27% of teams, the Toffees youngster is third in terms of midfield ownership, with only City’s Yaya Toure separating the pair.

With Fantasy managers looking for ways to free up cash to acquire the returning Luis Suarez, we take a look at the pair’s performances over the first five Gameweeks so far to ascertain just what sort of an impact they’ve been making on the field of play:

Let's put it this way. Don't bet anything on him starting or featuring in that game. I don't think Moyes will risk it anyways. It's WBA at home. United about to go on a tear, no sense in tearing RVP's groin or hammy or whatever.

    This news is killing me.
-Rvp AND walcott miss the next game.
-I already have Brayford,Williams(cpl) and Chester.
    Oh God...

A)I can Wildcard and spread The 3.3 mill on my team
B)I can do Rvp & Walcott--->Rooney and Ozil for a hit and the next week I'll do either soldado/Giroud to Suarez.

Nobody knows, but I'm thinking of taking the plunge. High potential upside, we need a Benteke/Lambert from last season and this might be it. Martinez doesn't seem too worried about installing loanee's, Barry looks nailed on because he is the best option... surely Lukaku is the best option up front?

We'll see tonight. If Martinez rests big time and Kone/Jela starts, or plays mostly first-choice players with Lukaku starting, I'd say those scenarios bode well him for. Of course, a goal or two wouldn't hurt either.

    Walcott --> ?

Toure is looking most likely. His consistency is going to be an asset.

Ozil would be ideal, but I don't have the cash.

Oscar could be an option, but rotation risk will give me sleepless nights.

Any other suggestions? Hoping to get an update from AW before a price drop, the last thing anyone should be doing is getting rid of Theo unless he's definitely out, man those fixtures are tasty.

Michu, Barfa, Erik, Ravel, Rooney, Giroud and Studge in the team already. 0.2 itb.

I've got Yaya for his potential double rise but that wont happen until Saturday I don't think. I'm nervous about that as it restricts a lot of what I want to end up with and what happens if I can't get to a computer or if FPL goes down.

Apart from price does anyone know what the main difference is between a Garmin 310 and a 910?

    Boruc
    Zabaleta Shaw Collins M.Turner
    Michu HBA Brady
    Suarez Giroud

    RVP Theo Williams Chester

I could take a -4 if one of RVP or Theo are fit.

Happy with my team but those injuries are doing my head. Wait it out and not wc?

I think it's too late to WC. that decision needed to have been made at the weekend. I'd take a hit once things are clearer after all the midweek games. You just never know what surgery will be required.
