The Fantasy Football Scout Cup, as sponsored by Paddy Power, is now down to the final eight managers after resuming action last weekend. All eight of our remaining quarter-finalists sit inside the top 70,000 in the overall Fantasy Premier League (FPL) standings, though one of our managers will enter the next round as firm favourite:
Cunny Funts is the man in question – a total score of 1,373 so far earns him a ranking of 1,462 in FPL. He’s up against Yes the Sess!, who is the lowest-ranked manager still in with a shout of the silverware – currently nestled just inside the top 62,000, he’s very much the underdog in this tie, having scraped through with a 58-point haul in Gameweek 21.
Sim716 (61,243 overall) squares up to Tdubb05 (45,088) for a place in the semi-finals. The former eliminated our moderator, Applebonkers, last time around, whilst the latter will fancy his chances, having knocked out previous favourite Tony Hibbert’s Love Child.
Tal goes head-to-head with 11 Men in Flight this time around. This quarter-final is the most evenly matched on paper, with respective rankings of 45,190 and 32,963. Whilst Tal has already played the winter wildcard, his opponent’s is currently active ahead of the weekend deadline.
Our final match-up sees ec3dm take on Ajax. The latter has activated the wildcard button and, with an overall ranking of 27,664 to his opponent’s 56,637, is the more fancied to progress.

How would you improve this WC team?
Manonne - Marshall
Coleman - Kosc - Chester – Molsson - Vlaar
Eriksen - Hazard - Silva - Januzaj - Ki
Suarez - Aguero - Sturridge
Bank - 0.5m
If i were to change Ki to Gnabry, giving me Arsenal attacking cover, I would have 1.1m to play around with.
Not keen on Southampton defence as apart although they have good away fixtures, not sold on their home ones.
Cheers all
