My co-host is almost back to full-fitness, exercising his rehabilitated vocal chords and wrapping his recovered tonsils around more double Gameweek discussion, along with a further round of community posers. Aguero’s double Gameweek potential, Granville’s fading faith in Moyes and our preferred flavour of crisps-based snack are amongst the hard-hitting topics on the agenda, following on from the usual bout of regulars.

    Is this the week to captain a defender?

    Hazard is very hit and miss, Southampton are away from home, United and their strikers are in poor form. Who remains?

    Personally I think Ivan, Terry and Evra are good options for the armband this week.

      Chelsea defender certainly an option as a punt but certainly Hazard or RVP is the choice.

        I genuinely think Chelsea will get a clean sheet. Its just a matter of whether Terry/Ivan grabs attacking returns as well.

    I still have my WC intact.

    Should I use it prior to GW 31 and fill my boots with DGWers or build up to GW31 and change the team after using my WC.

    I also have 7 players this week and would transfer more in this week if using WC before GW31.

    Whats the best strategy

      You might not need to change your team much after the DGW. Most solid DGW choices are good for the long term anyway. I say go for it prior to GW31

        Cheers .... my thinking if not using it was that I will probably only transfer 4 players at most anyway.

        With a ranking of 4k will it be a disaster to field only 7 this week ?

    i have a big feeling most of my rivals will bring in aguero next week and coleman

    so do i go baines and maybe negredo or try and match them having a 40 pt lead

    i dont know many of my rivals they are workers from other branches of my company but i think ive sussed how they play the game....

        Think this is a bit unfair. They should have gotten a cleanie against Spurs a couple ago they let up one shot on target for one goal by Ade if memory serves. Then they let up one against Chelsea in stoppage time. Then they got a clean this past GW.

      coleman vs baines could go either way

      but I'd definitely go aguero over negredo. if you don't go aguero then i'd look at lukaku, remy, or jelavic

    For what it's worth...The way I see Aguero being played in the coming weeks

    FA cup..bench and only plays if losing to Wigan
    CL plays 90 mins against Barca
    GW30 Hull.. starts and plays until needed for 3pts (60 mins)
    GW31 Ful..starts on the bench and only played if needed
    GW31 Man Utd (3 days later)..starts and plays 90 if needed
    GW32 Arse..starts and plays 90 mins if needed

    sound about right ?

          Rvp allows you to buy Studge/Aguero and upgrade elsewhere , so nothing wrong with that I'm on Wc so considering the obvious SAS , but lucky is tempting me but for whom ???

      not for me. he needs all the match fitness he can get. i can see him getting an hour then 75 then like u say maybe playing till games are won which will be an hour min.

        city are dead in the cl and its the business end of the season. for me he gets 60 mins min each game unless injuries flare up and dzeko n negredo rotate

        Yeah..that's where the physios at City come in..we have no idea of his actual fitness and the risk of gametime injury over the need to play him to sharpen him up again..

      I think he'll start every game he's fit for Wakey. They need him in the league more than ever or they won't be winning it. Pelle prefers to rest his key players with early subs rather than rotation.
      And no I'm not getting him for gw31 but I expect he'll do well

      Aguero is the type of player who could easily score even if he only plays five minutes. Was it Blackburn that he scored against with his first touch?

      I would rather have 30 mins of Aguero rather than 90 mins of near enough everyone else

      I know there's not an obvious answer but Jan or Carrick in for Cazorla gives me 11 for gw29 & a dgw 31 player albiet poor and gives me cash to get Baines/Kosc/Komp & an upgrade in forwards. I'm starting to believe it's worth a punt.

      Was seriously considering selling Cazorla to Januzaj. Its certainly the maverick move compared to my awfully dullard Adrian -> Speroni option.

                Not these days unfortunately. Fellaini isn't the same prospect as he was last year at Everton because he no longer plays behind the striker. He's just like he was prior to last season. Carrick is always a no go 😉

                its not nuts in isolation however it is nuts when it means leaving out one of Aguero/Suarez/Sturridge. However if you have no chance of getting SAS then I suppose Jelavic is a worthy option.

                    Yeah, deff worth considering those 2 as well however Jelly sitting 6 in the strikers form list, also came really close to scoring a couple at the weekend there and although Hull slipped up at the weekend I like the fixtures, W BROM and west ham
