This evening we reveal the results from the eighth round of our cup competitions and also look at Gameweek 31’s ninth round draws – this sees the conclusion of the Members Cup VI, whilst the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII reaches its semi-final stage.
With a score of 68 Leon Harris secured a semi-final place in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII. He defeated Fumi and will face konman, whose score of 71 was enough to overcome a tough Round Eight encounter with 3,612nd-placed CB8.
Placed at 7,284th, Leon is the highest-ranked semi-finalist and is having his best season yet, currently beating his highest finish, in 2013/14, of 16,930. This has come at a cost, though, as he has already spent his second wildcard and bench boost chip.
David Silva will be a key differential for Leon going into his semi-final clash and although he has two free transfers, one is likely to be used to offload crocked Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany.
Konman has a rank of 37,463rd and a strong pedigree as well. He is now in his eighth Fantasy Premier League season and already has one top 5,000 rankings finish under his belt, achieved in the 2012/13 season. Mesut Ozil is among his key differentials and he also has two free transfers available.
The second semi-final will be between community regular Numb, who saw off Youth Hostelling w/Chris Eubank in Round 8, and Tap, who conquered Nickofoz.
Numb is the favourite in this semi-final with two top 1,000 finishes in a sensational seven-year FPL career that has seen him finish outside the top 10,000 just once. Currently ranked 35,190th, he only has one free transfer in Gameweek 31 and is another that is likely to get rid of Kompany.
Tap will be no pushover. This is his fourth FPL season and in 2014/15, he finished 58th in the overall rankings. Currently ranked 38,464th, he is likely to mirror Numb’s expected move by using his free transfer to ditch the City captain.

In the Members Cup, Ola Svanheld’s used his triple-captaincy wisely with Harry Kane’s 39 points bringing in a huge score of 91 and leaving his semi-final opponent Space Cadete, who scored 58, for dust. Ola earns a final clash with community veteran Rasping Drive, who beat GOB in his semi-final.
Ola’s rank of 22,301 makes him the favourite in the final, although he is likely to have to use his only free transfer on removing Kompany. He could also opt to use his remaining bench boost chip or second wildcard.
Rasping Drive is ranked 138,554th and will have to call on his vast experience of eight seasons’ worth of playing FPL, which has included a top 500 finish in 2009/10. He also only has one transfer available but with no Kompany in his team there are no pressing moves to make, which means he could take the opportunity to select a differential punt to see him over the finish line. Like Ola, he also has the bench boost chip at his disposal.
