The Big Numbers – Last Four Matches – Forwards

After assessing the Defence and Midfield numbers over the last four matches, we turn our attentions to up front this evening. A number of double Gameweek options arrive under analysis, including Everton, City and Newcastle’s main men, whilst we also compare Arsenal and United’s strikers and doff our cap to Tottenham’s man of the moment after a series of scintillating displays.

    Best route here?

    B) loses Kane but it does get Ozil (who i'd likely TC). Also is Gabriel less nailed than Sakho/Rojo?

    A)
    GW32: Kompany & Eriksen -> Gabriel & Payet
    GW33: Vardy -> Lukaku
    GW34: Arnie -> Firmino

    B)
    GW32: Eriksen -> Ozil
    GW33: Kane -> Lukaku
    GW34: Kompany & Arnie -> Sakho/Rojo & Firmino

    Hennessey, Elliot
    Kompany, Bellerin, JEvans, Wolly, Simpson
    Sanchez, Eriksen, Mahrez, Arnie, Alli
    Aguero, Vardy, Kane

    Bank 1.3m, 2FT

      B apart from losing Kane for GW35

      A

      Would rather have Payet than Ozil given that you already have Sanchez who looks a more explosive TC anyway.

      I'm tempted to say B but I would consider saving the Erikson > Ozil move for GW33. As I said below Watford's defence shouldn't let too much in, but Liverpool have a tendency to be leaky. I've never owned Erikson and probably never will tho.

      I guess I just convinced myself that A is better.

        I think Payet for CPL will be great, but I already have him and 100% plan to drop him on WC33 until GW36 when I'll get him back.

          Hmmmm. Another option is Kompany & Eriksen -> Kos & Payet and then WC next week.

          You think Gabriel is nailed? I'm not so sure.

            I like that option. I honestly think Gabriel is a gamble, only Wenger himself will know how much he'll play. He might get the vast majority of the minutes but I could easily see Mert getting a game here or there.

    Hey guys, what do you think of this WC team for GW34?

    Elliot Robles

    Bellerin Reid Sakho Simpson Rojo

    Payet Ozil Sanchez Mahrez Lanzini

    Lukaku Aguero Kane

      Looks good. Perhaps Firmino/Coutinho over Payet given you have Lanzini? One less blanket in 35 also.

        I think Payet can get more points than Firmino/Coutinho from now until end of season and I can use 2FT to get 11 players out in GW35.

        What do you think?

          I really don't think so. Liverpool have a lot of good fixtures for attacking returns, West Ham face Leicester (best defence in the league), Watford (solid defence), blank, wba (should be goals), Swansea (definitely goalsss), United (keep it tight).

    How would you get Alexis?

    1. Ozil -> Alexis,
    Fuchs -> Simpson
    Bolasie -> Antonio (no GW 33 punt)

    2. Ozil -> Alexis
    Fuchs -> Simpson
    Coutinho -> Lallana

    3. Bellerin -> Simpson
    Mahrez -> Alexis
    Kane -> Martial

    4. Same as no 3) but do the Alexis Martial (-4) on GW 34
    so I can monitor Alexis and play Kane instead of Martial for the next 2.

    So the RMT tool has Vardy ahead of Kane over the next 4 gameweeks.

    Vardy (SOT, sun, WHU, SWA)
    Kane (liv, MUN, sto, WBA)

    Both on pens, both nailed.

    Kane has the form, Vardy has the fixtures.

    Losing Kane means Ozil, Firmino & Lukaku for the DGW. Losing Vardy means only 2 of those 3.

    Time to roll the Kane-less dice?

    Which one do you prefer for a WC team;

    A) Mignolet - Sagna - Ighalo

    B) Cech - Toby - Rashford

    Note that other GK is DDG and Toby is already in my team and have abig TV to lose, should I ship him. But at this moment in time, points are more important than TV.

    1. Eze Really?
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

      Many have the same problem and balancing DGW's is not easy. For me more difficult as I have no WC.
      The principals remain the same though.
      Everton 3 DGW's and fair fixtures but miss GW35.
      Arsenal juicy fixtures I DGW and bad GW37
      Man U great GW34 fixtures and No GW35.
      Chelsea no DGW34 but good GW35.
      Liverpool fair fixtures 2DGW and no fixture gap
      Cannot ignore Kane and Mahrez.

      What do you get from that?
      3 Arsenal until GW37 Bench 2 for that week and get back GW38.
      3 Everton GW33 and discard 1 GW35
      1 Pool until GW35 at least and swap Everton for Pool GW35
      At least 1 W Ham and 1 Man U and swap one for Chelsea GW35
      This may leave only 10 players for GW35 and up to you if you want a hit for the week.

      What a mouthfull!

    England National Team - Euros 2016 Squad
    ----------------------

    "Each national team has to submit a squad of 23 players, three of whom must be goalkeepers, at least ten days before the opening match of the tournament"

    I assume following players to be selected if not injured

    Goalies: Hart, Forster, Heaton (place holder)
    RBs: Clyne, Walker
    CBs: Cahill, Smalling, Jagielka, Stones
    LBs: Rose, Bertrand
    Mids: Henderson, Milner, Alli, Dier, Barkley
    Strikers: Kane, Vardy

    1 month PL left and nothing much to analyze for Roy and 5 spots to fill..

    who could be selected for the remaining 5 spots among Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck, Walcott, Drinkwater, Sterling, Phil Jones, Gibbs, Lallana & Ox?

        tight.. good for England

    3. El-Kloppico
      • 8 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

      Walcott, Ox, Sterling and Gibbs don't deserve a place!
      And I'd go Drinkwater over Henderson, given the performance they have been showing this season.
      Rooney should be IN, mainly due to his experience and his ability to play both up front and in MID.

      1. Siva Mohan
        • 11 Years

        Henderson won't be dropped.. kind of regular for Roy..

        Sturridge OUT?

        1. El-Kloppico
          • 8 Years
          8 years, 3 months ago

          Yep unfortunately though, since Henderson has been on the decline throughout the season. Maybe because of his heel problem.

          Sturridge is a bargain, all depends on his mood.
          Sometimes he is so passive in the match that you just want him out, as in the last 2 match for LFC, like he don;t want to play. But on the other hand, we cannot doubt his outstanding goalscoring ability.

        I can get 9 in 34, plus Kane and Mahrez, and then 15 in 37.

        Other way round will be 14 in 34 and 11 in 37 (assuming no injuries between 34-37).

            No hit assuming Hart is back fit. I have a 32 problem given I have Hart and Butland, which is annoying as I really don't want to spend my FT on a goalie.

        If WC in 36 will then have 2FTs for 38 to bring back Arsenal players.

      This is what I'm thinking. Lose Aguero, spread the money, bench boost, and pray that Aguero doesn't outscore that lot anyway.

        MCI v ARS in 37 so hopefully Aguero won't do much damage. 36 and 38 are trips to sot and swa.

    Is Clichy nailed now?
    What's the issue with Kolarov?

    Which City DEF is the most nailed?
    Will Mangala get his place now, with Kompany out?

          Double up on Arsenal probably, due to better fixtures in the future. Chances of Watford scoring away are almost same as Villa scoring at home.

    Latest version. What are peoples thoughts on;

    1) Double expensive Arse defence
    2) Double Palace defence (legacy issue - I have been carrying Ward and Hennessey for a while)
    3) Lanzini as the 5th mid
    4) Keeping Kane and Mahrez is a definite for me - but Huth is new to this WC draft. Good idea?

    Mig, Hennessey
    Bellerin, Kosc, Ward, Sakho, Huth
    Sanchez, Payet, Coutinho, Lanzini, Mahrez
    Luk, Kane, Kun

    1. HNI
      • 11 Years

      Rather go Kosc-->Rojo and Sakho-->Clyne

      4 is good

    Dawson. Nailed. HUGE goal threat. Pulis. One good fixture, one terrible fixture.

    Or

    Rojo. Far from nailed with returning wing backs. Often dragged around that dangerous hour mark. Invisible goal threat. Two truly brilliant fixtures.

    I'm still on Dawson. Every time I waver I tell myself he has a game in 35.

    Even if it's shocking...
