A day of goals and points aplenty ends with the main event as Spurs host Manchester United in the final fixture to be played at White Hart Lane.
A momentous day for the club, it’s unfortunate for Spurs and for owners of their key Fantasy assets, that the result is somewhat academic.
While Mauricio Pochettino’s men will look to provide their supporters with a fitting sign-off, they will need to lift themselves following the Gameweek 36 reverse at West Ham and Chelsea’s title-winning triumph that followed.
Fantasy managers will be hoping for a quick revival.
Dele Alli and Harry Kane head into the tea-time kick-off owned by 33.8% and 20% of FPL managers respectively, while Christian Eriksen is still found in 18.6% of squads. Kyle Walker also remains the top owned defender (30.7%), although he again misses out today with Kieran Trippier preferred at right-back.
For Kane, there should be no need for extra motivation. He will not only seek to score the final goal at White Hart Lane, he is still giving chase to both Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Golden Boot. He his currently level with Arsenal’s Chilean on 21 goals, trailing the Everton striker by three.
Kane has seven goals from his last six starts but has yet to score against visitors Manchester United in six attempts.
Jose Mourinho’s side arrive to present another line-up influenced by their Europa League campaign. The United manager makes predictable changes following Thursday’s hard-fought 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo as Wayne Rooney starts, along with Anthony Martial in attack.
