The 2016/17 season comes to a close this afternoon, with all 10 Gameweek 38 matches getting underway at 3pm.

We’re spoilt for choice in terms of armband options for the final round of fixtures, with the top three players in this week’s Captain Poll – Alexis Sanchez, Harry Kane and Philippe Coutinho – are serving up their highest hauls of the season in Gameweek 37.

Kane’s four-goal blitz at the King Power takes him two ahead of his nearest challenger Romelu Lukaku for the Golden Boot, while Sanchez welcomes Everton on the back of three successive double-figure tallies.

Throw in champions Chelsea at home to relegated Sunderland (Eden Hazard and Diego Costa both start) and Man City’s trip to a decimated Watford defence and it’s fair to say that goals look very much on Sunday’s agenda.

So sit back and enjoy the frantic next couple of hours’ action – it won’t be until August 12 before domestic action comes back our way again.

    Left it too late. Was 47 points behind mini-league leader this morning, gained back 35 today. If I had captained Kane instead of Sanchez the last 2 gameweeks I would have been ahead. Gap was over 100 points 3 gameweeks ago.

      Depends on ur rank. It's easier in hindsight but u prolly did it cuz u were chasing + Spurs & Kane had nothing to really play for (except Eriksen beating KDB for the highest assister-- they were 18 to 19 going into gw38) + Liverpool playing for the final CL spot..

      I'm one of those who didn't use AOA. Saved 'til gw38, but couldn't ditch Anichebe, and they now force you to select all eight attackers when exercised. Made no difference.

    How are we going to fit Kane, Alli, Jesus, Coutinho in next year? Kane will likely be 12.5, Alli 10.0, Jesus 10.5, Coutinho probably 10.0. 🙁

    Not to mention Lukaku will probably be 10.5/11.0, Josh King up to 7.5 at least.

      They can't increase the prices ad nauseum or it wouldn't be possible to make decent teams. It'll be a challenge next year for sure though, I'm interested in the transfer market now.

    Can't handle this wait. How you feeling VIPER? Think we've missed out by the skin of our teeth. If Cech over Cab errors gets me out of top 1k I will be sick as a dog. I can handle Kos mucking up and Sane not doing Cesc/Pedro numbers but if a silly error costs me it will be the ultimate rough.
