Yahoo Focus – Gameweek 4

Next up, it’s time to check out the Gameweek 4 picks for our partner game Yahoo ahead of a return to Premier League action.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game scoring system is ideal for members of our community looking for a Daily Fantasy Sports offering.

To get started, you can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5.

Before selecting your squad, we recommend reading our Strategy Guide, which assesses both the mechanics of the Yahoo game and the type of players who tend to profit.

Taking in all 10 fixtures, Gameweek 4 gets underway with Manchester City vs Liverpool at 12.30pm on Saturday. It ends on Monday evening when West Ham United welcome Huddersfield Town to the London Stadium at 8pm.

My Strongest XI

Tom Heaton – £15
Marcos Alonso – £18
Kyle Naughton – £15
Cedric Soares – £14
Paul Pogba – £25
Michail Antonio – £22
Robbie Brady – £17
Nathan Redmond – £16
Darren Fletcher – £11
Alexandre Lacazette – £24
Alvaro Morata – £23

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up could be subject to change.

Burnley’s Tom Heaton hosts a Crystal Palace side that failed to score in the opening three Gameweeks. As goalkeepers also earn points for wins or draws, we’re backing the Clarets’ home record to see off Frank de Boer’s strugglers – Burnley won 10 and drew three of their 19 matches at Turf Moor last term.

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso remains a key figure in our Yahoo lineups for a trip to Leicester City. The top ranked defender for shots (eight) and efforts on target (four), he scored twice in the corresponding fixture last season. Alonso’s al-round game is perfectly suited to the Yahoo scoring system – only N’Golo Kante has produced more successful tackles (13 to nine) for the champions. An average of 13.9 points per match (ppm) is almost on a par with Man United’s Romelu Lukaku’s 14.7, for example, yet Alonso is priced a full £10 cheaper.

A home clash with Newcastle United brings Swansea’s Kyle Naughton onto our radar. Recently utilised as a right wing-back, he grabbed an assist in the 2-0 win at Palace in the previous Gameweek and has two clean sheets in three. Naughton’s defensive contribution is vital to the Swans’ cause – he has made more than twice the number of interceptions (eight) than any team-mate and also registered five successful tackles.

Southampton right-back Cedric Soares is selected for a home clash with Watford this weekend. Given that the Hornets have created 62.5% of their chances down the left flank, the Portuguese international’s raids forward could profit up against the likes of Jose Holebas and Richarlison. Soares has already supplied 16 crosses – ranked third among defenders – and also betters fellow full-back Ryan Bertrand for shots (four to two) and successful tackles (five to four).

We’re backing Man United’s all-action Paul Pogba for what could prove a testing trip to Stoke City on Saturday evening. Joint-top midfielder for efforts on goal, the Frenchman has already served up two goals and an assist in the first three fixtures. He’s near-identical to Lukaku for ppm (14.6 to 14.7) yet costs £3m less for the bet365 clash.

West Ham’s Michail Antonio comes in for Monday’s meeting with Huddersfield Town. Since returning from injury in Gameweek 2, Antonio has matched team-mate Javier Hernandez for shots (five) and is the Hammers’ joint-top creator, supplying four scoring chances for Slaven Bilic’s side. After three successive losses, the hosts will be looking for the former Nottingham Forest man to help clinch the points in their first home match of the season.

Robbie Brady joins his team-mate Heaton in our starting lineup for the visit of Palace. The Irishman is the Clarets’ number one for shots (seven) and chances created (10), with only three midfielders supplying more scoring chances so far. Brady’s delivery from out wide from open play and set-pieces looks set to pour more misery on De Boer’s strugglers – he’s ranked number one for successful crosses (12) and successful corners (nine) among all players in the first three Gameweeks.

Southampton’s Nathan Redmond boasts some strong underlying numbers ahead of a home encounter with Watford. A total of 11 efforts on goal is more than any team-mate, with only Pogba and Mo Salah (12 apiece) firing more shots among midfielders. Redmond has is also ranked number one for key passes (nine) for the Saints, highlighting his growing impact under new manager Mauricio Pellegrino.

Stoke skipper Darren Fletcher looks a very handy budget enabler at home to former club Man United. The Scot ranks among the top five midfielders for successful tackles (10) and interceptions (seven), suggesting that his defensive contribution will be key against Jose Mourinho’s table-toppers. Three shots on goal and as many key passes highlight Fletcher’s potential in the final third at a cost of just £11.

A home clash with Bournemouth boosts our faith in Arsenal’s summer signing Alexandre Lacazette. Having dropped to the bench in the Gameweek 3 loss at Liverpool, we’re backing him to return to the teamsheet on Saturday and flourish against a defence that’s conceded more shots inside the box than any other. Encouragingly, Lacazette has scored in his only home outing for the Gunners, in the season opener against Leicester.

Alvaro Morata has wasted no time in settling at Stamford Bridge, producing two goals and as many assists in his opening three appearances for Chelsea. The Blues make their way to Leicester – a side they beat 3-0 home and away in Antonio Conte’s first season at the helm. Only two teams have conceded more goals than the Foxes and ,with Eden Hazard potentially back in the starting XI, Morata – who netted three times over the recent internationals – has the chance to maintain that early momentum.

This Week’s Contests

The biggest payout this weekend is the Premier League £10k Saturday game, which takes in the six Saturday matches from 3pm onwards.

It’s £5 to enter and is a multi-entry offering, allowing you to select up to 10 teams. The top 450 places pay out – there’s a minimum win back of £10, with £2,000 going to the first-placed Yahoo manager.

There’s no shortage of contests to enter over the upcoming round of fixtures.

You can select the ten-match option, which takes in the entire Gameweek 4 schedule and gets underway at 12.30pm on Saturday.

There’s also another six-fixture option for Saturday that consists of the matches from 3pm onwards, while a third contest incorporates the three fixtures over Sunday and Monday.

Among the big payouts, the Premier League £2k Saturday costs £10 to enter a team, with the top 75 in the money. Guaranteed to run, this one offers at least £35 to the top ten.

The Premier League £1.5k Sunday costs £5 to enter a team and is also guaranteed to go ahead. The top 82 all pick up at least £10 cash, with the winner earning £150.

Yahoo are also covering the 2017/18 Champions League, which gets underway this Tuesday evening. Among this week’s biggest contests are the Champions League £5k Tuesday and Champions League £5k Wednesday.

Guaranteed to run, both are £5 to enter and offer £1,000 to the winner, with the top 256 are earning at least £10.

And a reminder that Yahoo have launched their Premier League £1,000,000 Perfect Lineup Cup, which takes place over Gameweek 1-19.

There’s £40k in prizes on offer, with £30k shared among the top 5,000 and £10k going to the winner. The Yahoo Cup also has a “£1,000,000 challenge”, which gives away £1m to any user who selects the perfect line-up in any given Gameweek to score maximum possible points.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

One last time, thanks for the previous replies but Im a bit confused here
With Kompany out,Im in huge trouble Plz tell me what to do?
    Foster(Elliot)
    Stephens Kompany Dann (Kompany) (Long)
    Mane(C) Salah Alli Ramsey Carroll
    Lukaku Jesus (Quaner)
    0.3 ITB,No FT
If Stephens does not play Quaner comes off the bench who is not even a starter and is doubtful
    Should I wildcard maybe?
Or Just Kompany to someone for a hit
or Just play carroll and hope stephens plays?

    -Nailed on now ox gone
    -No champs league
    -Can do damage going forward

Apart from arsenal looking pretty bad away from home so far this season any other reasons not too pull the trigger?

Look on nearest perspective - arsenal will concede from bournemouth and after this have chelsea.
