Normal service is resumed with our weekly Sky Sports Focus article on hand to prepare you for the incoming Gameweek.
As always, we’ll examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before moving on to the Scout team and our future plans.
Gameweek 21 Man of the Match Awards
These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.
Fixture | MoTM |
Watford vs Swansea | Lukasz Fabianski |
Chelsea vs Stoke | Willian |
Huddersfield vs Burnley | Johann Berg Gudmundsson |
Newcastle vs Brighton | Mathew Ryan |
Liverpool vs Leicester | Mohamed Salah |
Bournemouth vs Everton | Ryan Fraser |
Man United vs Southampton | Wesley Hoedt |
Crystal Palace vs Man City | Timothy Fosu-Mensah |
West Brom vs Arsenal | Alexis Sanchez |
Brighton vs Bournemouth | Jose Izquierdo |
Leicester vs Huddersfield | Islam Slimani |
Burnley vs Liverpool | Dejan Lovren |
Stoke vs Newcastle | Ayoze Perez |
Everton vs Man United | Paul Pogba |
Swansea vs Tottenham Hotspur | Christian Eriksen |
West Ham vs West Brom | Andy Carroll |
Southampton vs Crystal Palace | Bakary Sako |
Man City vs Watford | Kevin De Bruyne |
Arsenal vs Chelsea | Eden Hazard |
Tottenham vs West Ham | Pedro Obiang |
We need to talk about Kevin once again. Mr De Bruyne recovered from injury to put in another Man of the Match performance and take his tally to eight for 2017/18. Eleven awards has commonly been the most earned by a single player over the last five seasons but the Belgian is well on course to top that.
Compatriot Eden Hazard (six) and the game’s second most popular player, Mohamed Salah (seven), moved into third and second place respectively in the MoTM table, while the only other player with significant ownership to feature was Christian Eriksen (19.1%).
He has returned to form of late, only failing to score over five points in one of his last eight matches.
Gameweek 21 Bonus Points
Let’s take a look at those players who have earned 34 points or more in bonus this term.
Fantasy Football Scout members can access all information regarding bonus points using player stats and clicking the Sky Sports tab.

Notes
Up to 153rd, but at the expense of a couple of transfers.
My beloved Philippe Coutinho left my team, so I was kind of forced into that one. Thankfully, another one of my favourite players, David Silva, returned at the perfect time for a direct swap. With Man City dominating both the league and the bonus point system, it felt like the logical move.
The other trade was something of a vanity transfer, although an injury to Mohamed Salah also helped nudge me to make it.
In came Christian Eriksen (and his 18 points over the two matches) due to him having four fixtures to the Egyptian’s one – and the one is Man City at home.
I’ll be watching that match “Salah-less” for the first time this season. Wish me luck people.
Captain Plan
Sat 13th – Kane (EVE)
Sun 14th – De Bruyne (liv)
Mon 15th – Phil Jones (STK)

Pondering about Richarlison>Lingard the whole week. Would love to save my transfer this week, as I need Alonso sooner rather than later. But then another Lingard haul could be on the cards.
Richarlison > Lingard Yay or Nay?
