Arriving in the midst of a lukewarm Double Gameweek, the latest episode of the ScoutCast is more intent on looking ahead as the entire five-man crew press the button on the Free Hit chip.

We’re back to full strength, as Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me to discuss our approach to Gameweek 35’s slimline schedule, inspired by another round of your community questions.

That attacking riches on offer from Manchester City and Liverpool dominate the early chatter, as we give our take on the run-in targets least likely to suffer from rotation to feature for Free Hitters and the “chipless” this weekend.

We then pan for Gameweek 35 gold in less familiar territory, as we re-open the Coleman vs Baines debate ahead of their meeting with a Newcastle outfit perhaps already in flip-flops after four straight wins.

End of season template busters help round things off before we career into the regular weekend preview to offer early thoughts on the Gameweek armband.

    What I have learned from this "no hits" season is that balanced approach is important for good performance over season.

    Combination of patience and occassional hits when required is likely to bring more points as compared to sticking with only patience or only hits. Same goes for transfer activity, fixtures and form go together, leaning more toward one or the other may backfire.

    Obviously million ways to play the game and win it, we learn and move on... 😀

    Going to be difficult to get 11 nailed FH players you actually want even if pool team is leaked.

    Not too many obvious cs.

    Really need to smash this week. Got my highest ever rank of 2.7k and would love to get top 1k but the rest of the season feeling like a lottery.

      I agree with rotation there is a definite sense of luck for the next few weeks.

      for example it could also easily have been smalling dropped for jones/Bailly against Bournemouth or Chilwell dropped for Fuchs yesterday and people’s scores could have been wildly different.

      there’s no way to research or know, just pick the team and try not to cry!

      i’m in a similar position and taking a -8 also. definitely think for us sterling and salah are stand out but I wouldn’t make the moves until close to deadline in case there’s a leak line up with salah benched.

      if that happened maybe consider just the mahrez and gross to sterling/kenedy moves. otamendi will likely play but it’s not crazy to think he is rotated and we can’t take the luxury of a gamble without a FH, especially for a defender

      also if you take a hit for a defender the HAVE to get a CS otherwise you are -2 on the move
