Fantasy Premier League managers are largely looking to captain one of Sergio Aguero or Eden Hazard this week.
With both players facing home fixtures in Gameweek 11, they have both fared well in our latest poll.
We’ve gone over the best options with a look at player, attacking and opposition data – as well as the Rate My Team tool.
The Captain Poll
Another home match for Manchester City and another week at the top of our captain poll for Sergio Aguero (£11.3m). This week the forward has a 44.4% share of the vote at the time of writing, his backers clearly influenced by the fact that he is yet to blank in front of his own fans in 2018/19. It’s Southampton up next for him who have offered little resistance against the bigger clubs this season.
However, it’s not another landslide victory for Aguero who is chased by second-place Eden Hazard (£11.3m). The Chelsea man has garnered a 25% share on account of him also having a home fixture. Hazard has just one blank at Stamford Bridge so far, the Gameweek 9 visit of Manchester United. Crystal Palace are his next opponents.
Aguero and Hazard appear to be the only options being seriously considered by our community this week. Liverpool’s trip to Arsenal is clearly putting people off Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) as he has just under 5% of the vote, in spite of looking on course for a third-place finish.
Raheem Sterling (£11.1m) remains among the differentials as far as our voters are concerned. Despite delivering in all but two of his appearances this season, our readers are hard-pressed to hand him any more than 4% backing for the Gameweek 11 captaincy.
Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) comes up trumps as the best of the budget options (2.54%), we expect because West Ham are hosting Burnley this weekend. The Clarets have allowed more shots than any other side in the league so far this season.
Then comes Jamie Vardy (£9.0m), with 1.85% fancying him for Leicester’s emotional trip to Cardiff. The game has been confirmed as going ahead and will certainly prove a poignant occasion in light of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha tragically passed away this week.
Harry Kane (£12.4m) continues to remain under the radar for captaincy, now without a goal Gameweek 7. Just 1.28% of our voters are considering handing him the armband for this weekend’s visit to Wolves.
Above him in the pecking order so far is Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy (£6.4m), admittedly only backed by 1.43%. However, he may receive more votes as we edge closer to the Gameweek 11 deadline. Southampton will come to the Etihad Stadium without a goal in five league matches, while he has six assists this season.

Any thoughts what to do with this team? Really wanting Arnie but want Barkley too ideally. How would I fit them in?
