After the Sane TC + having no kun in gw 25-27 i dropped to 720k OR. Thanks to knowledge fr community and good chip strategy I've climbed back to 128k.
Wish i had joined FFS from gw 1 this year & started well.
This was my first season with real effort behind it. Will try N do better & enjoy FPL next season again.

This is a game of patience as much as anything else. Held off Eriksen>Pogba last week, so handily had two FTs to deal with Son. Did Son>Redmond which funded Duffy>Laporte. Both came in along with Eriksen!

Also - I know I can post some inane comments sometimes during matches, I just get a little bit heated 😆 I wouldn’t say I’m the worst for it on here though (not a troll!), and hope I’ve given some of you some useful team input at some stage of the season - I try to do so anyway!

Finished 60k OVR which i'm fairly pleased with especially since I was ranked 257k in GW31.

Slightly frustrating that over the Christmas period I got rid of Salah the GW before his hatrick against Bournemouth and also got a couple of goals afterwards. I did the same season before aswell with Kane getting rid before some big scores, guess it's something to learn from for next season.

Roll on the start of August to do it all again. Enjoy the break guys!

Son to Redmond?

I’m currently putting together my “rules” for myself for next season and one that’s obvious and many will go for is going heavy at the back. Which was a theme last year too...

The problem that arises is while defenders seem to score the best points per million.. they also have the best value too. A 4.0/4.5 defender can easily be better than a 6 mill midfielder And a 4.0 defender is basically “free”

Still not sure how viable the heavy at the back system can be because of the whole value thing

Can’t seem to crack the code on my third attempt, but getting closer.
Selling Salah before the Bournemouth game was the game changer for me.

Didn't crack the top 500000 in the end. The FPL season from hell. Extremely painful to take.

267th placed finish this season. Highest ever by quite a margin!

I’ve been playing for quite a few years and knocked on the door of the top 10k a few times, but I’d say the key thing I changed this season is: patience.

Patience in a performing player who isn’t quite getting the points but the promise/underlying stats is still there. The patience not to make many points hits (I only took 2 this season I think). The patience not to kneejerk, and the patience to avoid bandwagons.

I’ve learned a hell of a lot this year. There has been a bit of luck along the way too of course. But I’m hopeful I can have another strong season next year.

Finished somewhere between 600-800 OR with previous best finish around 30k couple of seasons back.

To sum up my season I think the ingredients were patience, luck and sometimes boring conservatism (and Robbo from GW1). Only large downswing was owning Sane over Aguero during the dark hattrick(s) period which could have led to even top 100 finish.

Just to add my thanks to all for the advice, banter and hilarity this season.

My second season taking it seriously and it’s been a rollercoaster. Had a great spell climbing back up and looked to be hitting my best OR but a shocker this week (42) meant I dropped out the top 50k finishing at 54k. Not terrible by many accounts.

Looking forward to next season already.

So who will have Salah next season? Can see him being 12.5m next year. He won't be in my team.
