Want to work for Fantasy Football Scout? Get in touch

As we gear up for the start of the 2019/20 season, we are frantically working behind the scenes to make improvements for our site users and subscribers.

We have a number of exciting developments in the pipeline but we’ll need an additional body to help us roll out the changes we have planned.

Our previous call to arms was for editorial staff but we are now looking for a web developer to assist with the technical side of things.

We work remotely so location shouldn’t be an issue for anyone considering applying. Flexibility of hours would be desirable, however.

We are looking for the following skills from our candidates:

Required

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and CSS, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Proficient with CSS2/CSS3
  • Knowledge of Accessibility and Web Standards
  • Experience with both Responsive and Adaptive Web Design

Beneficial

  • A working knowledge of Git
  • Experience with PHP

Ideal

  • Experience of React.js
  • Knowledge of WordPress

Based on past experience with our job adverts, we need to stress that it may take a little time to look through and respond to applications. But if that doesn’t put you off and you want to get involved with the next chapter of the site, please drop us a line with your CV at jobs@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk

From what I've read tielemans overperformed stats last year and perez is likely to partner vardy... Giroud I think is flying under the radar and could well be Chelsea's main man which would definitely put him ahead of King for me. Could all be wrong!

Dendoncher being a starter is a big issue.

I actually quite fancy both The forwards king and Deulofeu.

I agree Dendoncker is a problem, only possible solution is probably to downgrade Fraser.

If 3-5-2 is how you want to set up you will find a guaranteed playing 4.5 Mid by GW1. I'm fairly sure your GW1 team wll have a few changes after all the Pre-Season games have been played. Keep tinkering.

With Godfrey potentially out as well as Zimmerman for Norwich, Hanley could be a playing 4.0 defender for at least the start of the season. Also, Farke is known to leave his lineup unchanged despite regular starting players coming back from injury/suspension, if they're playing well. Of course, Norwich aren't going to be particulary solid at the back, but a starting 4.0 defender is always nice.

Yea fixtures aren't great (especially for a week one bench boost) but still a good stash if you're playing 3 or 4 at the back.

    Tear it apart x

    Heaton/Pope (4.0)
TAA VVD Laporte Coleman (4.0, whichever most likely to play)
    Salah Sterling Brooks*
    Vardy King Deulofeu

Brooks a placeholder til I settle on which 6.5 or less mid I like. Could stretch to 7.5 if Zinchenko nailed and I go him over Laporte, or more if I go KDB over Sterling etc...

I've been changing my team all day, and I've ended up with this :
    Pope
    VVD | Laporte | Digne | Maguire
    Salah | Siggy | KDB | Perez
    Kane | King

What do you think of it ?

I've built a predictive model using forecast points (from FFS) + applied weights (up/down weight FFS scores - which I'll be adjusting throughout pre-season). Team is:

    Ryan (Begovic)
    TAA, VVD, Coleman, Boly (Kelly)
    KDB, Salah, Siggy, Zaha (Hayden)
    Auba, DCL (Nketiah)

Model is built to optimise for the highest forecast points possible.
    Not bad 🙂
