Put your Fantasy skills to the test and win big with FanTeam

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to be partnering with FanTeam for the 2019/20 season.

There’s an eye-catching €250,000 on offer with FanTeam‘s Premier League game this year, with €50,000 going to the winner and prizes for Fantasy managers finishing as low as 1,250th.

FanTeam is also offering additional weekly and monthly prizes as further incentive.

With the game being very similar to Fantasy Premier League in terms of prices and scoring, those managers who perform well in FPL will fancy their chances of earning a profit.

You can read more about FanTeam and the prize breakdown in our introductory article, while our second piece delves into the data in our Members’ Area which may be of assistance.

FanTeam Games

Daily Fantasy sports may be of interest to those who love to get hands-on and use their expertise for the possibility of financial gain. The business is still relatively young, especially in Europe, so the chances of prospering would appear greater.

It’s not just the Premier League that FanTeam cover: their UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, La Liga, Serie A and Russian Premier League games all offer prize pools of several thousand Euros.

There are other sports than football, as well.

Fantasy leagues in tennis, MMA, hockey, basketball and baseball already exist and soon American football will be added to the roster, too.

The weekly Premier League game, with its guaranteed €50,000 jackpot, is still is the biggest game by far and one that seasoned FPL managers can easily transfer their skills to.

There are some FanTeam players who bag tens of thousands of Euros per season in net profit – one of whom is mentioned below.

A full-time fantasy player

One Fantasy manager who performed well last season was the Russian full-time Fantasy player who goes by the alias of ‘awd2’.

In addition to tidy profits in the regular tournaments, he won two VIP tickets to the Champions League final in a special promotion called Stairway to Champions League Heaven (a package that would have normally cost €10,000).

Awd2 recalls the trip of a lifetime and sitting next to greats of the game in the VIP lounge:

You come to the bar to take a cocktail – next to you is Xabi Alonso. You go to the restroom – you find yourself next to Adriano Galliani. Trying to find our places in the sector – the Portuguese trio Deco-Costinha-Maniche is looking for them together with you. You go to your armchairs, and Sami Hyypia is chatting with someone nicely. To sum it up, it is totally unreal!

Helpful Tools

FanTeam say that many successful daily Fantasy managers use bookmaker odds to help them prosper: for example, clean sheet odds can be harnessed to find defenders with a decent chance of gaining four points for a shut-out.

The anytime goalscorer market can be a decent gauge of the Fantasy assets that have the biggest offensive potential.

For the Premier League game, we of course offer masses of relevant data that can help inform your decisions in the Members’ Area.

As with any Fantasy game, there is no guarantee of success in FanTeam – but it is certainly possible to win a lot of money by playing it.

      Looks good.

Not sure how Kean will fit in at Everton yet so maybe a bit risky for GW1? How about Josh King.

      AWB instead of Shaw?

      Like the KWP pick.

Any reason not to double up on Wilson and King for 1st 2 weeks? Wilson nailed in my side and not keen on the other 6.5m options. No Fraser.

GW3 can do King --> whichever 6.0/6.5 looks good. Thoughts?

If you fancy them go for it. A double up means it's high risk/high reward, but as long as you are aware of that

Jota was just an example- just mean picking two strikers from the same team- is it really any more "risk" than from two separate teams?

I'm looking at it but don't fancy both for gw3. I might end up with Fraser and Wilson as if I can save a free transfer I can downgrade one and upgrade the other onto whoever looks the best from Chelsea/Leicester. If you have King and Wilson you have to move sideways and may get priced out of who you want.

Final Decision before I depart on holiday to isolation land tomorrow for a week... Help me out folks?

      TEAM A
      Ryan, Pope
      Lundstram, Zinchenko, Coleman, TAA, DIOP
      Salah, Sterling, Martial, Barkley, Dedonker
      King, KANE, GREENWOOD

      TEAM B

      Ryan, Pope
      Lundstram, Zinchenko, Coleman, VVD, KWP
      Salah, Sterling, Martial, Barkley, Dedonker
      King, FIRMINO, INGS

Reason to stray from current TEAM A? Meand Dedonker wont need to play GW1 and hopefully bench are starters to cover e.g. Barkley absence......

3 things i feel this place needs to sort out to have any chance of getting back on track .

          1) sort out these RMT spammers and encourage them to post in their own RMT thread. I remember counting Scotty 's 32 questions in 1day. How is that allowed?

2 ) enforce gravs . It's just a sea of gray and white . It looks dull . Make a bit of effort.

3 ) sort out the quality of the scoutcast panel. Granny is fine as he adds entertainment but apart from him there is only one other member who is in a position to give good advice the other 2 or 3 haven't achieved enough in the game to be in the position they are. I don't care wether Mark is on or not it's irrelevant to me but at least replace him with someone knowledgeable

Do we think Laporte is playing? Am I safer with Walker?

I think Laporte will play, wait for presser though. Safer with Zinchenko than Walker, Cancelo will replace Walker sooner rather than later, Pep doesn't rate Walker and rightly so.

            I appreciate it, mate!

You're right on Walker, but I'm just not confident Zinc will be nailed for long just as well.

Might stick with Laporte for now, or change plans and go for a 3-5-2.

            Cheers!

No worries, I'm currently on Laporte, may start with Zinchenko and keep 1m ITB for when Laporte is back

Is Ederson + Digne worth the extra million over Pickford + Zinchenko?

Think it probably is, but the extra million goes a long way to getting KDB ...

I suppose Ozil is getting old, they need to replace him with someone as lazy but younger.

        Here's a curve ball - RMT version 8291473921743124:

        Heaton (Button)
Coleman - AWB - Zinchenko (Kelly, Lundstram)
Moutinho - Sterling - Salah - Barkley (Dedonker)
        Auba - Kane (Greenwood)

Taking a massive punt on 4 big value players.....

Not sure if there is enough value in all of the heavy hitters for the opening fixtures, might be better of strengthening the other positions by downgrading 1-2 of the heavy hitters and upgrading AWB (I like him as a value target if you're going to stick with this plan though) and moutinho/Barkley

Anyone starting Lundstram in their XI?
Could be tidy playing OOP + chances are he'll ever start or not play at all.

        Which option do you prefer?

        A) 0.5mitb
        Pope (Heaton)
        Digne TAA Robertson Zinchenko (Kelly)
        Siggy Salah KDB Pogba (Hayden)
        King Murray (McGoldrick)

        B) 0.0mitb
        Pope (Heaton)
        Coleman TAA VVD Zinchenko (Kelly)
        Siggy Salah KDB Pogba (Hayden)
        Wilson Murray (McGoldrick)

        C) other?

Really want Wilson in there but wouldn't hate Robertson > VVD and Digne > Coleman but budget.. thanks for your feedback in advance! 🙂
