Fantasy Premier League managers have yet another captaincy decision to make as the midweek Gameweek 15 approaches.
Starting on Tuesday night, the latest round of action pits Liverpool against Everton, Manchester City against Burnley and Leicester against Watford.
As per usual, the Captain Sensible article is here to help you make the right choice for the armband using a comparison of the in-form players and their upcoming opponents.
As this piece uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those signed up for the 2019/20 can access it in full.
Captain Poll
Jamie Vardy (£9.9m) has absolutely decimated the captain poll for Gameweek 15, with a humongous 58% share of the vote.
Perhaps we should not be too surprised by such support given that the Leicester forward last blanked in Gameweek 8 and has eight goals in six matches since then.
The fact that Watford come to the King Power Stadium directly after losing a second manager this season probably does not help their cause, but may play into Vardy’s hands. Furthermore, Watford may also have to field another line-up short of key defensive personnel.
A long way off in second place is Wilfried Zaha (£6.6m) who has amassed just 6.4% of the vote.
The Crystal Palace man has scored in each of his last two outings, against Liverpool and Burnley and this week faces Bournemouth.
The Cherries have lost their last three matches on the spin, conceding at two goals or more to Newcastle, Wolves and Tottenham.
Sadio Mané (£12.2m) is looking at a third-place finish in the captain poll but is still only being considered by 4.4% of the voters.
The Liverpool man blanked at Anfield for the first time since Gameweek 3 on Saturday afternoon and faces Everton on Wednesday night.
The Toffees have conceded twice in three of their last five matches and continue to be plagued by rumours over the future of manager Marco Silva.
Mohamed Salah (£12.2m) will also likely be involved in the Merseyside derby but has been given backing for the captaincy by just 2.9% after his latest blank.
Kevin de Bruyne (£10.2m) is the most popular Manchester City option on the back of two goals in two for the midfielder.
With Pep Guardiola’s men travelling to Burnley, the Belgian has been backed by 4.1% of voters, while Raheem Sterling (£11.9m) is supported by just 3.3%.
His goal at Newcastle was the first since Gameweek 10, so it may still take a little while before Fantasy managers trust Sterling en masse again.
Two goals for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.9m) in the 2-2 draw with Norwich has helped him achieve the support of 3.7% for the Gameweek 15 captaincy.
Arsenal host a Brighton side that has conceded twice or more in six out of their last eight matches. They are especially porous away from home, having let in a total of 13 goals on the road so far. Only five teams have allowed more.
Christian Pulisic (£7.5m) may have two blanks in a row but he still has more goals and points than any other Chelsea player since Gameweek 10.
That’s why he is the most fashionable of his colleagues for the Gameweek 15 captaincy with the support of 2.1% ahead of Aston Villa’s trip to Stamford Bridge.
The Villans have let in two or more goals in five of their seven away matches so far this season and in each of their last three consecutive road trips.
Raúl Jiménez (£7.7m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.3m) are the only other options with more than 1% backing.
