Fantasy5

£100 prize every month in Scout’s Fantasy5 mini-league

Sponsored by Fantasy5

On top of the £10,000 weekly jackpot (and myriad other prizes) on offer in the free-to-play Fantasy5 game, we are delighted to announce that there’ll be £100 a month up for grabs to the top player in the dedicated Fantasy Football Scout mini-league.

Mini-leagues are a new feature of Fantasy5 this season, allowing you to compete amongst friends and track each other’s predictions over time.

Fantasy5 are also giving away £1,000 across 10 randomly chosen mini-leagues, so set yours up today to be in with a chance of being picked (mini-leagues must have a minimum of five entrants to be eligible).

HOW TO JOIN THE FFSCOUT MINI-LEAGUE

The league join code is PM92QCG or you can just click here to join.

HOW TO PLAY FANTASY5

The rules are simple: enter a team by picking one player from each of the five nominated fixtures each Gameweek and, if they all exceed their ‘points target’ for that match, you’ll be taking home all – or at the very least a share – of the £10k jackpot.

There is no budget in Fantasy5 – if you wanted a team packed full of the big names, then you’re free to do so.

Naturally, the so-called “better” players will have a higher points target and Fantasy5‘s projections are a good indicator as to who is expected to perform well on any given matchday.

For example, on the opening weekend, Mohamed Salah will have to score in excess of 12.5 points in Liverpool’s clash with Norwich if the Egyptian is to help you on the way to the jackpot.

By contrast, the Canaries’ Lukas Rupp only has a points target of 4.5 to better.

Fantasy5 are the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question as well as the live score and time – as shown in the above image.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

For a full list of the terms and conditions, click here.

SCORING SYSTEM

If you know anything about Fantasy Premier League, the Fantasy5 scoring system is easy.

Quite simply, it’s FPL without the bonus points.

For newcomers, players gain – and lose – points in Fantasy5 through the following outcomes:

ActionPoints scored
Playing up to 60 minutes1
Playing more than 60 minutes2
Each goal scored by a goalkeeper/defender6
Each goal scored by a midfielder5
Each goal scored by a forward4
Each assist3
Clean sheet by a goalkeeper/defender (must play 60+ mins)4
Clean sheet by a midfielder (must play 60+ mins)1
Every three shots saved by a goalkeeper1
A penalty save by a goalkeeper5
Missing a penalty-2
Every two goals conceded by a goalkeeper/defender-1
Yellow card-1
Red card-3
Scoring an own-goal-2

Probably Sanchez and a random 4.0 as I may have Bissouma as my 4.5 mid along with Veltman. If no Bissouma then Steele as backup

    Sanchez - Steele

Time for your weekly villa update.

    1) smith has no intentions of using Watkins out wide, has said this is the case so ings will be deployed either behind or alongside Watkins

    2) Watkins bruised knee smith hopeful he will be fine for opening game

    3) no news on Buendia which suggests he should be fine as didn’t feel need to give update unlike Watkins

4)Buendia was going to be bought no matter what happened to grealish, so it’s Bailey and ings that are his relplacement

It could also imply a set-up similar to Pep's old Kun/Jesus playbook - only start with one striker and substitute around 60-70 mins - may mean reduced minutes for both Watkins and Ings. Good way to manage Ings minutes if you're worried about his injury risk.

Jota, feel more secure in minutes (perhaps I’m deluded) but has better fixtures and Liverpool seem to have had a good pre-season as a unit

Before international break at least I’d say Greenwood gets more minutes. I think when everyone’s fit and we are playing one game a week Jota misses out.

I would definitely like to have Jota vs Nor. But I don't want to be without Salah, TAA and Tsimikas. No matter what I do, it doesn't look too good. So ideally both, but it basically costs TAA.

Jota not first choice so I don’t see the lure. Salah, Trent, Tsimikas is the move. Greenwood is good for the first 3 weeks but when UCL rotation kicks in he’s on the chopping list. Even in the first 3 weeks there’s competition. Sancho, Martial, Cavani, Pogba and Greenwood for the 3 attacking spots. I’m going with neither

Can't pass up on Tsimikas to bolster the squad's depth so had to rid Jota.

Mount and Gündogan also options at 7.5. Currently have Gundo as I think he'll be central as KDB is missing (similar to his hot streak last season). Don't see much talk about these guys, I wonder why.

People seem to be so misinformed. Cavani has been granted extended leave, and Rashford is injured. So Martial, Greenwood, James and Sancho for 3 places.

Seems a perfect time to start with Greenwood.

This was my view as well until someone above pointed out, where does pogba fit in? He was playing left of the 3 so does he eat some Greenwood minutes?

James and Martial more likely to lose minutes than Greenwood I hope.

This was my thinking as well, and I ended up downgrading elsewhere in order to change greenwood to Mahrez. Equally rotation-risky, but for the first few games he should be starting (liek greenwood) and I would expect much more output from him

      Neither.

Jota has an issue with gametime so that is straightforward enough.

      Greenwood simply isn't heavy enough.

      Simples.

Am on a GW1 BB again and then hoping to WC GW 4 - final couple of spots to be decided but if Willock concluded tonight do you think he’d play on Sunday? He’s still technically on for the consecutive goals record.

I too find myself on that combination in my latest draft. Salah Mane Bruno alongside Ings Antonio Benrahma 5.5/6m.

Mane to Son in GW3 allows Raphinha in for GW4, and Mane to a slightly more budget friendly midfielder allows a direct upgrade from Tsimikas to Trent after the IB.

VVD wasn’t an fpl option at soton, you need to think of the def unit more than the individual. Brentford are likely to be a bottom 5 def this year

            • 13 Years

A good defender has to start somewhere and I think Brentford attack minded, so I expecting some attacking returns from him to balance the negatives. Ajer likes to go for it.

Can comfortably have and get rid of Tsimikas. Go cheap in defence with Amartey first sub. Can go Antonio / Benrahma and not worry about Europa league. Same with Mahrez/Greenwood and UCL. Ings for the first 3. By GW3 all players will be back too so you can get one step ahead of the curve

First 3 games. Good delivery and a very similar player to Robbo. In my opinion has actually looked better than Robbo in pre season so far. Can definitely see him getting an assist or 2 and won’t hinder the defence too much. No brainer at 4.0 tbh. Jota isn’t even nailed for GW1

      Opposition dependant I'd think.

Could have two of Werner, Havertz & Ziyech around Lukaku in 'easier games.

Whereas in GW3 at Anfield, I could see Mount pushed further forward, to allow more protection and maybe Havertz the other side of Lukaku.
