    A) Jimenez, TAA, Doherty —-> Kane, Matip, Roberts (-4)? Would give me Kane, Son and Kulev

    B) Jiminez, Son, TAA —> Kane, Havertz, Robertson/ Reece James?

    C) anything else to get Kane in? I have 2 FT.

    Thanks!!

TAA might be ready for Watford, really need to wait as someone getting injured/Covid is a decent chance.

So I did BB24 as I coincidentally had 15 good fixtures and lots of money on the bench from covid chaos. Everything on paper looked great to pull the trigger.
Walker randomly didn't play despite being nailed for years, in what was a guaranteed clean sheet against Brentford.
Gray got injured in 24 minutes against a Newcastle who were still crap.
Guaita lost his clean sheet in 2 minutes against Norwich from their only shot on target.
King, well he was just clearly a bad pick for months that we all kept hoping would get a penalty.
5 points total they all got me.
I've had higher bench points without any real intention/planning on 12/29 occasions, the average of which has been 11 points...
Pretty worthless chip considering the FH's got me well over 50 points each, but still hilariously frustrating. They should replace it with a chip that lets you change one (or more?) bench players at the end of a gameweek. I would say exclude captain, but if you want to remove the captain it would go to vice as if he didn't play.

Yeah, I like that idea of getting to actually sub on a player(s) after you've used the chip that week.

Think it's a great chip as it can score highly or cause you trouble for ages.

That was part of the decision to trigger it. Had a WC coming up and didn't want to waste money on the bench for the rest of the season or fuss about diminishing the WC with it in mind. I think people too often ruin multiple weeks thinking about one.

The chip would score similar for most so would make it less of a differential.

have to decide on chip strategy now and move forward accordingly. Not a team that you need to WC, so you can plan for BB33 with FTs, WC34 for final stretch, FH36.

You can WC this week, just not sure if you will make any major changes. 4 changes in starting XI and other 4 on bench? Thats about it?

WCing this week to set a BB33 team and FH36 is an easy route.

Yup, that's the dilemma. Wc this gw or in gw34. The rank slide in the last few gws is making me lean towards wc now, bb 33 and fh 36.

With Ramsdale out, there is a scope for differential in this spot. With FH in 33 and 36, I like the look of Lloris.

Fixtures till end excluding 33 and 36 : NEW, avl, bre, LEI, BUR, nor

Ederson is close 2nd but price. Pope does have one extra game but fixtures list includes Man City and Spurs. Everton are Everton. Sa has pretty much same set of fixtures as Lloris but he will face Liverpool in last week.

I think it may be a waste to get Lloris.

I would rather have Doherty/Reguilon with Kulu/Son and Kane till the end.

easier to find good defenders as compared to goalkeepers

Defense of Trent, Robertson, Cancelo, White, Williams should do the job. Probably going to skip Kulu/Son as well.

Hi all. 1FT, 3.9itb WC, FH and BB left.

Original plan was to BB DGW33 and uae WC beforehand not so sure anymore.

    Lloris
    Rudiger - Cash - Jonny - Cancelo
    Saka - Salah - Son - Maddison
    Jimenez - Antonio
    Foster - Coady - Ramsey - Dennis

What would you do? WC now BB DGW33, FH next DGW. Any thread where this has been analyzed? Not mentioned in HT's

If you’ve got FH and BB left, with no wildcard, do these fixtures lend themselves to FH33 and BB36?

Without WC, you can target the big teams with things to play for who will also double in 36. Making BB easier to plan.

Bunch of medium to okish fixtures to target from teams that we really don’t want in the shape of United, Newcastle, Southampton, Burnley etc. Seems ideal for a FH33?

    1. Holmes
      • 10 Years
      2 years, 3 months ago

BB36 will probably be better in your case since it gives more time to build a decent bench, caveat being that you will have to play safe and no room for punts as every transfer will be crucial.

How many DGW33 players do you have in current team?

Same chips left and leaning that way as of now(FH33 and BB36). Though FH33 could change if I can field a decent team that week without the chip.

If you can easily field a solid team in 33 would you still look to play FH to focus on getting in your United/Leicester players you may not want going forward?

GW36/37 with good teams doubling I can focus my transfers on leading up.

Personally I feel its not a bad idea to pick up Sancho now for LEI/eve as well as 33, and if I get Barnes/Maddison in 33 I'll keep him til 37 at least. Seems like most people will FH & go much heavier on Man Utd, Leicester, Newcastle etc though

Have a fh and a bb left and no idea when to use fh..the problem with fh 33 is teams with a single game like Spurs, City have good fixtures is it worth free hitting to go for doublers and ignore these teams who have good single fixtures?

Yeah Kane v BHA, Cancelo v BHA, Salah v Man Utd are all undroppable for me. Feel like excluding them and Trent, James for Leicester/Newcastle/Man Utd assets may lead to FH falling short of my main team. I've tinkered with FH draft that retains all 3, but it just doesnt really seem worth it, especially if I buy Sancho in 31. Hoping FH in 37/8 allows me to react to xBeach

No, we don't know the DGW 36 fixtures, but can't we assume the FA cup teams Liverpool, City, Chelsea at least? Would rather get in their players already now instead of filling up with DGW 33 doublers.

Understand that there will be a small DGW 37 and a big one GW 38, and by then we'll know which teams and players's on the beach for the final match day.

No. If I captain a doubler I think it'll be Sancho as he has the best chance of sneaking something on the counter v Liverpool, but its not a great, TC-worthy double. If I still had the chip I'd be eyeing Salah v TOT avl in 36, or maybe Chelsea/City assests if out of UCL since they would have slightly better fixtures (WOL LEI / NEW wol)

What would be the easiest way to get Salah back in?

    Ramsdale*
    TAA*, Robbo, Tierney, Doherty
    Son, Saka, Maddison, Gordon
    Kane, Watkins

    Foster, Raph, Coady, Jimmy*

    1FT, $0ITB

Son, Jimmy > Salah, 4.5? possibly

    Thanks

Dont really see another way. Only some radical surgery would allow you to keep Son - like Trent to sub 4.5 def, Jimi to 4.5

Yeah, not too keen on taking -8 too.

Trent to Cancelo if hes out for Watford or is it a waste? Already have Robertson in my team.

So whilst we are waiting for the semi final TV schedule is it correct that these teams still play a single game in gw33?

Around 19/20 April after the weekend semi finals at Wembley?

    So this planner is accurate?

Yes, all teams in the FA cup will have a single game.

Only Leeds, Wolves and Aston Villa will blank in GW33.

I'm going to play my wildcard until the end of the season.

Can still FH33 and BB36 too.

As it stands, I have 5 doublers (2 Burnley, 2 Arsenal and 1 Leicester) and 3 blankers for 33. Best strategy:

    A) Use FH in 33 and plan transfers to build a BB team for 36
    B) Use FTs to have 7 doublers in 33 and FH in the bigger DGW36. Use BB in 37/38

An alternative is build towards 33, BB36 and FH38.

I think you have to judge it on your planning really, i.e. if it was the best week to use it when you compare strength of FH / non-FH teams. But in terms of the points scored (somewhat out of our control), any team with both Son & Kane should have given you a rank boost

People with 2FH left what's the plan? FH in both 33 and 36?

Yes, or BB in 33 or 36 and the last FH in GW 37 or 38

What would you have done if you also had a BB left?

Maybe would build towards 36 and use it then. And FH in 38.
BB has always been a let down for me anyway

          Why FH in 38?

          Thanks!

Also able to build for this BB DGW 33 team for -4, saving the 2 FHs for 36 and 37 or 38:

          Ramsdale*, Dubravka*
          Rudiger, Doherty, Lindeløf*, TAA, Cancelo
          Saka*, Barnes*, Salah, Kulu, Fraser*
          Weghorst*, Lacazette*, Kane

Im very tempted to BB in 38
Might need some extra bodies if there is rotation - will see how 2 x ML's go
