I think Chelsea will score a fair amount over the next two. But who will score them is the question. Would anybody have Jackson in their team if he wasn't so cheap?

I would, the only CHE striker and play for fixtures. Expecting CHE to improve even gradually. Worth the gamble.

Yeh he’s decent and we have some very favourable games in a row. Likely will be involved in most attacking returns chelsea get

Glad I bought Alvarez last night, would be outpriced now. "Only" Pep can now ruin this - it is either benching or telling us that Alvarez will miss three weeks because he has now too much pressure from new FPL owners.

Yep. I think only injury/precaution will get him benched before international break. After that UCL starts quite soon and then it will be more lottery I guess. Palmer has been promising so he will probably eat some minutes when UCL is on.

I would like to have Jackson for next weeks but did not have money without -4 and that would have also meant losing Rash or Bruno this week - not yet ready for that. If they underperform again then it will be quite easy Rash downgrade and 4.5 fwd upgrade incoming if Jackson looks good this week.

Watkins. I'm actually thinking of benching Martinelli til the Eddie-effect passes (he's killing the rest of Arsenal attack for FPL). Jackson has potential but since Nkunku's been missing Chelsea just don't seem to have the same fluency/creativity

I don't think its a bad option exactly but I just don't think he'll be as explosive right now as I was hoping on the basis of some of the preseaon performances. I've decided to pass & go for Isak instead

He's definitely someone I want in my team sooner rather than later.

Just debating whether I want an Arsenal attack double up for when they play United. As right now, I'd be shifting him out for Martinelli.

Yeah I only have 1 + 2 at the moment, the others would require a transfer.

Mentaculus - I came to the same conclusion, Martinelli was a mistake as he's shunted so far wide. He's currently occupying first spot on the bench for me.

Yeah I can see that. I think we're relying on him creating something magic out of nothing as long as Nketiah is starting. I considered selling but the thing is I think I'd want him right back if Jesus returns GW5 or if Arteta decides to give Trossard a chance up front, so I'm going with a similar strategy - upgrading my 8th attacker & benching Martinelli for now

Is this G2G? Made a typo on my previous post, will risk Madders & Joao Pedro will come in if not. (no hits taken, just one FT even though I've resisted the urge to WC)

    Pickford
    Estup - Chilwell - Romero - Colwill
    Salah - Saka - Bruno - Diaby - Maddison
    Haaland

Turner - Joao Pedro - Beyer - Mubama

Annoyingly I had Saliba last year when everyone went Gabriel, only went for Gabriel this year because he usually scores against Fulham, saw the City leak in GW1, changed Stones then put my phone away to eat dinner and missed the flipping leak lol

.2 because you’re more than likely sitting with Saliba at 5.1 now.

I guess it’s only a risk if you think he’s done, something I have no read on myself, I’m still shocked he hasn’t started either game.

    A) Rashford

Probably the same three of those since I'm writing off Rashford for now, but tbh Diaz would probably be the only one I'd actually pick on WC (and even then, quite close Diaz v Jota I think)

Thanks, Ment. Yes, I'm v close on Diaz/Jota, too.

You wouldn't take the others on a WC because? A combination of uncertainty over minutes for the CIty players, and not lighting it up re: Jackson?

I would just prefer Haaland/Isak/Wissa as a front 3. Set out my thoughts on Foden & City on the last page - I'm slightly tempted but still a bit wary that Bernardo might replace Foden instead of Kovacic, and just not convinced that City are going to be especially free scoring at the moment so Foden is slightly behind the likes of Maddison, Diaby, Mitoma, Mbeumo for me

  21. FOO FIGHTER
    • 5 Years

Not going to be everyones cup of tea but I do not want to be anywhere near template. Played my WC GW1, had Maddison in there for the next 3 GW's which made sense but then see him end up with a buggered foot. Joao Pedro another issue with not being nailed so got in Mitoma for Maddison and took a hit to bring in Alvarez for Pedro. Could have kept Pedro but the thought of a possible 1 point cameo again vs Alvarez getting stuck in at SHU...

Below is what I have for GW3. Hopefully the Chelsea triple up works out especially for GW3 and 4 and will see where things stand after GW4. Have 1.0m in the bank and may consider Saka > Mbeumo as Arsenal are not looking great and then double up on Wissa with Jackson leaving the team. Was not keen on Mbeumo but looking at his numbers and his great start so far, seems he is in for a big season.

If Jackson is firing over the next two GW's, I may keep him for Chelsea's great run of fixtures. Unless Salah or Diaz pick up lengthy injuries then they won't be leaving the team. Klopp does not care about defence, lots of goals for incoming this season.

    Johnstone
    Estupinan Chilwell Disasi
    Salah Saka Diaz Mitoma
    (H)aaland Jackson Alvarez

    Turner Ahamada Bell Baldock

Just be honest and say you basically WCd in a team of players that all returned in GW1 and then took -4 to bring in two players that returned last week 😛

      1. FOO FIGHTER
        • 5 Years

My score GW1 was 73 points. Maddison had 3 great fixtures coming up and is why many transferred him in. I had Rashford, Watkins and Gabriel GW1.

So no, I played my WC for a reason.

Play your own game bro. Do you think you are an expert here telling me what you think I do?

Nope, I'm doing garbage this year like most years. But just admit you kneejerked an early WC to get the early returners

I am not a sheep "let's play our WC all at the same time and pick the same team"

Last season I played my WC in GW2.

This isn't exactly against template. Most are template. Lot of guys are getting in alvarez and Jackson now incl. Me.
Disasi and Johnstone and perhaps Diaz the only differentials I see

Yes, but I may get rid of Saka and then double op on Wissa and Mbeumo. I may even decide to double up with Mitoma and March as well. My team will be different after GW4 again.

    Pickford
    Colwill Chilwell Estu
    Salah Saka Rashford Eze
    Jackson Haaland Pedro

    Turner Cash Kabore Anderson

Choice this week feels like Martinelli to Foden or Watkins to Alvarez
Currently thinking Martinelli - think I'd prefer to own Foden and Martinelli's days versus Forest.and Palace not great. Maybe a Nketiah thing? Anyway Trossard feels like he's lurking and may get a start.

Nketiah starting is stifling the Arsenal attacking assets.

Tough one. I personally did Watkins to alvarez but also pedro to Jackson for free. Next week i am planning martinelli to Diaz or jota since Liverpool fixtures turn

My midfield trio of Bruno, Rashford and Eze has been such a let down. Zero attacking returns says it all. I got 33 points this GW. What’s frustrating is the kind fixtures kinda force me into keeping them for another GW of disappointment.

Sell Bruno and eze. Atleast one of them

I'd definitely hold Eze at least. Bruno has looked very unlucky. Rashford by all accounts (including one friend that's an MU fan in particular) sounds like he's looked very poor, uninvolved and like he's not putting much in

I just feel like I’ll get trolled by Eze so I will most likely sell soon. Rashford will definitely be the first to go.

Agree he does look a shadow of last season and then he was 6.5 m

He was the first player on my team this season and starting to regret it

However gw3 will determine his fate for my team

Hoping my patience with Rashford and Eze pays off this week. I see a lot of people have ditched them, could be some interesting comments if they deliver this week.

My thoughts are not worth the risk with Rashford having Forest at home and Eze could easily have a GW1 assist (goal line clearance) and GW2 goal (if pen was awarded) plus he has looked gemerally lively. Think the points will come
