Already wasted my first wildcard and my bench boost in the first four weeks. Should have stayed on the dullard path.

Personally I would keep Mbeumo. The fixtures are good until November. Newcastle, United and Chelsea are conceding goals so I would start him in them games too. He has been ticking along nicely

But thinking a straight Rashford > Son swap? Or maybe Odegaard > Son?

On WC, thinking along the lines of:
    Vicario Areola
    Schar Chilwell Estupinan Cash 4.0
    Saka Son Maddison Mbeumo Diaz
    Haaland Alvarez Archer

    Leaves 2.0ITB.
so Schar could be anyone, but the Toon's fixtures do look lovely for a bit.

So I'm playing my WC over the break. As far as I can tell, the best way to do that is to jump on all the probable kneejerk price rises (Son Alvarez Ferguson etc etc) and kick out any likely price drops as early as possible. Then decide the actual team once it's all settled down, and maybe bank a couple of price rises. Is there any reason not to do that?

I remember once having transferred ESR, Øde and Saka in on WC (if I didn't already Saka). When they and my starting XV started firing, I gained so much TV that I was able to have later both Son and Kane + template when others were switching between them 🙂 Protecting and increasing TV is one aspect to remember when on WC.

I disagree. Liverpool has more than enough attackers (and even TAA could play there) but they desperately need players to fill other positions. And for that they need serious money.

Trent can't play there. His threat is from running from deep and he'd be nowhere near as sharp as Salah has been in front of goal. Though it'd be easier to mould him into that position than make a defender of him.

Defenders are absolutely awful this season. Can't seem to get more than 2 points out of anyone and there doesn't appear to be any attacking upside either.

Tempted to go for the full 4.5m route on first WC. A defense of like Udogie, Colwill, Wan Bissaka, Cash, 4.0m will probably do great.

    1. Opurist

      My current defenders are
Chilly, Gvardiol, Estu, Colwill + Udogie. I don't see any point in having a 4.0 defender, just sold Beyer for Udogie. Cash is likely to come in after his tough fixture run, especially if I wc during 2nd itb. AWB looked like he has improved his attacking skills a lot, but I am not sold on MU atm/yet. Money doesn't look like too big issue for that.

I think Alvarez is becoming integral to City especially now that KDB looks crocked. Pep has really talked Alvarez up as the best finisher at the club at penalties etc. Alvarez also seems to getting a rap-ore going with Haaland.
I think there will be some rotation around the CL.

But City's CL group looks relatively easy to start with. Which could mean a chance for Pep to wrap up the group early, or give some fringe players a chance in Europe.
