I guess Europa puts a spanner in some but Thurs and the majority around 1.30pm on a Friday normally.

I think we're going to hear from Burnley, Everton, Nottingham Forest and Fulham today but we haven't got times yet.

Decided to sell Jackson this week, and I have Alvarez. Would you buy:

    A) Ferguson
    B) Wilson
    C) Someone else

I kinda like the idea of Ferguson against Bournemouth but he's absolutely not nailed.

Ferguson is a rotation risk and Wilson minutes risk plus you don't know starts between him and Isak.

Awoniyi, Watkins or Edouard are more stable picks.

Agree both rotation risks. Watkins still ahead of Awoniyi and Edouard for me

Watkins from GW8 could be huge but it depends if you have Salah or not as fitting in Watkins with Haaland and Alvarez up top is difficult.

Same dilemma and in my case it would be for a -4

I have narrowed it down to two choices -

      1) Wilson - which allows me to get Schar+Botman - leaves money in the bank for future Son/Salah plans. It is the optimal gw1 choice by there after will be looking for a chance to move on. Likely 60 minutes v Sheffield and who knows in the following games afterwards.

      2) Hojlund - allows me to get Trippier+Botman. Hojlund will start has nice fixtures. Has just scored in Europe. But the United camp is one of a fragile atmosphere. Would we see a reaction against Burnley - Palace etc - United do look like they have goals in them. He looks like he is about to rise in price as well.

"Whilst Aston Villa will be tough opponents, it’s worth noting Chelsea will have had six full days to prepare for this fixture, whereas Unai Emery’s troops will be in UEFA Europa Conference League action in Poland on Thursday."

This is really grasping at straws

    1) Villa won't have to field a strong team in Poland

    2) Chelsea's team is fairly predictable - not much prep needed

    3) It is doubtful that Chelsea will keep a clean sheet - so all the Chilwell chat will just be for 2 points?

    1. CRAZY TRAIN

Emery will field a strong team in Poland without a doubt, and they were dreadful against Liverpool after the Hibs game, so I think this is definitely a factor.

I’d be surprised if a lovely away game in Poland on Thursday did not impact villa physically, mentally and in terms of preparation time. Emery takes
      Europe seriously.

Even if Villa do field a strong Eleven you would expect Villa to have the tie wrapped up quickly. Pre Season Friendly pace and the big guns Watkins - Diaby - Cash etc get subbed off early.

I bet the game will be over as contest by the hour mark. The group stages of the Europa and Conference for the big European leagues are like early League Cup Matches. They can take it easy try out players.

For example Harry Kane got his first run in the Europa League for Spurs, made his debut against Shamrock Rovers.

You saw what a stroll Hibs v Villa was if the ref was allowed to he would have blown up early.

Not really a clue what to do. Team looks good on paper but failing every week. 2FT 0ITB

    Onana
    Chilwell, Botman, Etsupinan
    Saka, Rashford, Bruno, Maddison, Sterling
    Haaland, Watkins
    Turner, Kabore, Udogie, Mubama

    A) Bruno/Rashford to Mbuemo
    B) Watkins to ?
    C) Chilwell to ?
    D) Something else

Bruno and Rashford have a good fixture on paper. Watkins I can't see many alternatives and he has returned consistently albeit in assists. Chilwell has looked ok and should start this week right? Bench isn't great but no funds to improve it

Looks like your Man Utd triple up has probably been tbe most detrimental factor so far but the upcoming fixture swings could well reward your patience with Rashford & Watkins. Bruno has to go though I think, although if you want to move Chilwell on first I guess its ok to give him the Burnley game. I think I'm just benching Chilwell this week myself but this article doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that he'll start so with no cover you may be better off just selling

They haven't helped haha but a nice game this week although Mbuemo has one too so maybe do that. If Chilwell is set to play I think he is worth keeping a bit longer possibly.

I have the same dilemma and am currently benching Pedro. I'd play him if I thought he was likely to get a start and plenty of minutes so this may change after tonight if Wellbeck and Ferguson play a lot more minutes than JP.

RDZ said Fati is fit to start so I expect to see Pedro on the bench tonight - if not, I definitely wouldn't start him on Sunday. In the more likely event that Fati gets 60-70mins tonight, it'll be a tricky call but I think I'd just start A & B.

I already did Hojlund in Jackson out - 3% owned three decent fixtures in the next four. Already due a price rise.
Could be 7.2 or 7.3 if he gets a few returns in that period of games. If it does not work Awoniyi is always the other option. I am playing three forwards - Hojlund - Alvarez - Haaland.

I think will be taking a -8 this week - Henry and Chilwell out. Trippier - Botman IN. Or maybe Schar.

I think Newcastle will get a clean sheet and Chelsea will concede so should be a -4 in effect.

Only question is Newcastle team news. This -8 will set me up for potential future transfers Son and Salah in Gw 8. Much tighter for money on those plans if I get Trippier.

I said it before earlier in the season and will say it again, Luton are going to be an irritatng team to play at home. Their pitch is tiny which benefits them. West Ham conceded a goal and had difficulty penetrating them even though they had majority of the possesion.

I could be wrong and Wolves go there and clean Luton out but Wolves are not the greates up top.

Maybe Foden out? Grealish is poised to return next GW apparently. Lil bit of jealous of March for this GW. Looks like there'll be one weak spot in your defence this week, playing Gusto v AVL or someone in the NLD, so you could consider Gabriel/Gusto out maybe but rolling the 2nd FT is fine if you have other transfer plans. Or make a GK change?

Think I will be playing Chilwell this week over Udogie. When everyone hates Chilwell, its probably a good time to play him, a contrarian pick.

Yeah that's my interpretation, but I'm not 100%. Luton have more chances given up on left flank/right zone. Based on what Sterling did to them, I'm assuming your interpretation is right.

Basically, Everton have conceded more chances on "right flank" than centre and left flank combined. Just wanted to know if that meant Schade was a nice differential, or if it meant going without Mbeumo was suicidal.

Trying to investigate further... it looks like the crosses/chances conceded in the match centre tally with those in the team stats section, although they have the same mismatch in the hover text. But looking at Wolves v Liverpool is making me wonder if right flank has actually been mixed up with the left since it says Pool conceded 8 crosses from their left flank & 7 from their right - and the individual cross count shows Neto 6, Ait Nouri 1, Bueno 1.

Any mods able to check that there's not an error here?

Regarding Neto, he crossed from both sides.

Ok I know it wasn't a definitive error-test, but do you know why right is displaying as "left" when you hover? Are you sure they're not mixed up?

It's the attacking side of the team, i.e. Robertson left.

Eze or Doku for the next 2?

      1. FOO FIGHTER

Eze has Fulham at home and a diabolical UTD defence up next plus he is on penalties.

If you think Doku will start the next to then go for it. If not, dont go.

Grealish back next GW I heard so Doku's a bit of a risk even in such a short timeframe

Not very original, granted, but Chilwell and Pedro have made way for Botman and Alvarez. Now, who to bench?
      1) Watkins (che)

      4) Saks (tot)

Jackson/Henry>Alvarez/Botman my proposed moves this week. Does that look like the best moves this week? Still have WC.

For Alvarez, even if he blanks, yes. At least you know double digit hauls will be laid out going forward.

A 20% chance of a double digit haul, while ticking along - is quite huge tbh

Very similar teams. I actually kept Henry and let Chilwell go, for funds, as I had Pedro and not Jackson. Henry will have to too go of course. But to answer your question: Yes. Unless you want Mbuemo.

Thanks. Would like Mbuemo as well. Giving Eze one last chance and should have funds to do that transfer next week.

I'd probably hold. Utd's fixtures are pretty good and the injuries are getting better so they should turn a corner soon.
