Perhaps an overreaction to last night's game to some extent

      History of missing chances

Jota back from injury so his minutes are at risk

      etc

Not one mention of Alvarez in the Scout Squads, find that very interesting, could be a huge differential this week.

Right, I'm agonising. I only have bench boost left and will probably use it in 37. I have 2 free transfers. Keep Son or sell is the question. Considering doing a double: Son and Muniz to Mbeumo and Solanke.

    Current team for 33:
    Kelleher
    White Gabriel Gusto
    Salah Saka Son Palmer Garnacho
    Haaland (c) Darwin

    Dubrovka Muniz RAN Braithwaite

    Opinions?

    Danke

    1) Keep
    2) Sell

Wouldn’t normally post such an open ended question but I’m dead ending my team into FH next week and WC35 and have 2 FTs.

    Dubravka - (Turner)
    Gabriel - VVD - Gusto - (Doughty - Taylor)
    Salah - Saka - Foden - Palmer - Son
    Toney - Isak - (C Morris)

Original plan was Isak and Son out for Haaland and Mac Allister.

    Any thoughts guys?

    1. The Iceman

This is such a tricky one because I can see the Newcastle-Spurs game being high scoring in which case you'd think Isak and Son would be involved in the goals.

Exactly. But going without Haaland v Luton at home and even burning transfers seems crazy.

I'm in a similar position - but slight difference is Son & Watkins which is moderately easier given the latter's fixture.

Just throwing it out there, but have you considered Salah out? Yes he plays CRY but he hasn't really returned since AFCON (albeit a large part of that he spent injured) and his rest last night was cut short by the underwhelming performance.

I haven't, no and don't think I'd go there either. I reckon his form might return now that he's not fasting every day. And he may well go on a final push as it's probably his last season as well. Plus I can't afford Jota or Luiz to cover him. Oh and he's on pens.

    Gabriel, Gusto, Udogie, Reguilon, Lascelles
    Salah, Foden, Son, Palmer, Havertz

You've got a fairly major benching headache there with that front 8 - so feels like 2FT could be well used in downgrading somewhere to facilitate a strong front 7 perhaps?

I think it's Lascelles and either Gabriel or Darwin out.
Toney would be ideal but you can't afford him.
Van Hecke is a decent 5th defender for Lascelles and doesn't need much money finding plus you can play him this week. Or Branthwaite.
For Darwin maybe Wood to create funds. Or if you are up for something a little riskier you have Cunha, João Pedro or Alvarez. Wissa if you think he still plays

Certainly wouldn't be selling Son this GW....

    NUFC injury news:

Joe Willock — “unlikely to be available” for tomorrow’s match against Spurs. Been to see a specialist on his achilles. News was positive but likely to need a short period of rest.

Lewis Hall — hasn’t trained all week (quad problem) and is a doubt for tomorrow.

Tino Livramento — closest of injured players to a return, but hasn’t joined in training sessions yet.

      B with Petrovic or Dubravka

Can't see a route to Foden as an upgrade from Luiz, if you want him for 37 you need to downgrade in a few positions (assuming a major downgrade of your heavy hitters isn't palatable)

    A. Kaminski > Petrovic/Dubravka
    B. Saka & Toney > Garnacho & Haaland (-4)
    C. Doughty > Gusto/Ait Nori/Burn

    Kaminski (Areola)
    VVD Gabriel Branthwaite (Pau Doughty)
    Palmer Son Salah Saka Foden
    Toney Isak Muniz

If, like me, you've held Toney this long then I'd give him a run out vs SHU. B could easily not pay off.

A and C feel sensible. Assuming no WC then you have to have an eye on BB37 - and with Kaminski unlikely to score highly this week (well, maybe saves) and Areola out then A seems sensible.

Thanks. Iv had Toney for weeks and he’s been awful. I just worry that no Haaland and most in my mini league capt him I could fall further behind (currently 60pts off top). Agree the other two moves are sensible but B also gives me two players with DGW 37 v 2 players that don’t

    Pick two for this week

The latter would be a free transfer in place of one of the other two (Watkins or the fodder I bring in would be benched so the second transfer doesn't really matter in the decision).

I'd possibly put Gusto in ahead of Ait Nouri - not sure how some of the players Wolves are getting back might affect his recent position. Benching Solanke feels tough given United will give him quite a number of chances, but probably right on balance.

It really depends on your team.

Work out when is best to play BB - likely either 34 or 37. Given the doublers for one are not the same as the other, it is likely you would then FH the other. TC then a SGW or, if you are brave, someone from the Chelsea vs Spurs double in 35

Got 2FT. Do I get Haaland back or tough it out behind the sofa?

Son and Watkins to Haaland and Sarabia?

I was set on this. I am now thinking Salah & Watkins as not sure I want to lose Son this week with Newcastle so injury ravaged

Problem is I can see 45 mins for Haaland or 90 mins explosion.

I’d avoid doing it tbh. Son and Watkins can both explode and you’re moving to really only 1 who can explode.

Son and Watkins could get 8 each with beats haalands 13 and Sarabia 2 for example

I'd disagree - I am not sure I see Watkins scoring a brace vs Arsenal

          8 points isn’t a brace

2 goals and a penalty miss plus appearance points is 8 points if you want to be pedantic

Yes. Caveat being, if you are FH34 then you should spend it this week as you lose it next week

Need to make a move this week before FH34. I think I've narrowed it down to:

    1) havertz -> Gordon
    2) Darwin -> Pedro

Both have the potential to backfire but building towards BB37 and don't want to burn a transfer. Both likely back in for FH34. Which do you prefer?
