    Thoughts on this ?
Porro + Gordon over Gvardiol + Eze??
    Planning early W'c

    Henderson
    Trent, Gabriel, Gvardiol
    Salah, Jota, Nkunku, Eze, Saka
    Solanke, Isak

    4, Barco, Robinson, Jebbison

You should never plan an early wild card.
You dont know how teams are going to perform.
Get 5 or 6 weeks data.
You should have your team set up so its good for 3 to 5 weeks.

I think an early WC is a sound plan. To think you will nail it and be stubborn about using it (due to having GW10 or GW12 in mind from the off will be a more costly mistake).

BB GW1 WC GW2 is a valid strategy. I agree you won't have all the info after 1 GW, but you will have the most important data. Which teams looks good from the start of the season. Combine it with nailed on players comming back from the Euro ready for GW and the fixture swing after GW1 for Fulham, Chelsea etc. and you'll be able to get a great start and a different team in GW2 compared to most others.

Last year I did BB GW1 and WC GW2 and even though I only had 13/15 playing in GW1 I still had a much better season (and start) than the years I'd planned the WC for the first or second int. break.

You could go with something like this:

        Raya / Pope
        TAA / VVD / Gabriel / Porro / Hall
        Son / Bruno / Jota / Kulusevski / 5.5
        Isak(C) / Havertz / DCL

        -> WC2:
        Sanchez / 4.0
        Gvardiol / Munoz / Robinson / 4.0 / 4.0
        Salah / Palmer / Nkunku / ESR / 4.5
        Haaland / Solanke / Muniz

        Could be a rocket start

One GW won't tell you "which teams look good from the start of the season"

Actually quite happy leaving the armband on Haaland against Chelsea than on Saka or Isak.

Don't think Maresca will be able to sort out our defence sufficiently to stop him from scoring.

But no Rodri, Foden, Grealish and possibly limited KDB (and now no Bobb) doesn't bode too well for City.

      Haaland to blank.

Right lads and ladies. It's Christmas Eve and Santa needs ye to decide soon what ye want for Christmas. Enjoy yourselves and the banter online.

FFS is usually a good indicator for starting 11s so don't stress it too much. Keep a look ahead for gameweek deadlines to avoid missing Friday night games. Some useful links below please add your own.

Going to look at the BB again, there’s a lot of short term picks that are good now, might as well try and look at making the most of it & then look at long term picks like Foden and Watkins next.

For example, Solanke, Quansah, Jacob Murphy, Gordon, Jota, Porro, all good for this week but don’t think I want them after it.

        1. Salarrivederci

I agree with the first point. A lot of good GW1 picks you don't want/need after GW1 (Kulusevski, Jota, Havertz etc.)

Not sure I would go for Solanke with BB. He might start, but could easily be benched and start GW2. Kulusevski will start 99%. Could be in one of many positions, but he will start.

That’s fair, algos are big on Wood in GW1 so there are options, point is, a lot of these players feel like throwaway picks, why not embrace it?
