The Big Numbers – Gameweek 7

In our first members article of the week, we assess the displays of West Ham, Leicester and Villa’s forwards as the search for a Callum Wilson replacement intensifies. We cast an eye over Southampton, Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal’s midfields and also analyse the impact of Brendan Rodgers’ decision to switch to a 3-4-1-2 formation in the last two Gameweeks.

So for those WCing Gw11, I think it goes without saying how far a good team value goes. Especially since the only top team with bad fixtures is Liverpool. Everton, ManU, Saints, Arsenal, Chelsea (assuming their attack is worth investing in) Spurs & MänCity are seven of the top nine that top the attacking ticker 😯 .

Form aside, an Aguero-less team could do wonders to fit in attackers from all those sides. Budget teams have it tough for the long-term run-in, imo (bar Watford & Newcastle). I could make a case for Leicester in the short-term, but after Gw13 the road is tough. Pälace are also worth considering after Gw12.

Obviously, form will change by then, etc.. but I'm looking at this from a very rigid fixture perspective.

Depends on your team's current status, imo. I'm WCing Gw11 because fixture swing for the top teams then, if you think your team can last & score well by then, then I think it's worth waiting 'til Gw11

If/when Wilson gets another price drop this week, will his transfers be reseted after deadline?
That happened for Martial last week?

Walcott is only player that comes to my mind for 0.3 drop and not sure if that reseting happened for him too (dropped another 0.2 week after 0.3 drop).

Ok that's interesting. Maybe I'm being blinded by Dioufs stats. Ok goal attempts is low, but when he kicks at it its always on target and when he uses his head its a goal! He has as many goals as the other two, via less pitch time and kick rate. Still don't fancy him?

Bertrand is not playing yet. There is some undisclosed problem.

Citeh, yes. Agüero, too - and too much money upfront. Lloris. Dawson.

Alright! Cheers for the feedback. I'll get rid of Aguero if he doesn't deliver the next 2 and will upgrade midfield. I actually like Lloris, he can get some save point as well as CS, might go with Myhill / Butland instead but I don't really want to double up.

I believe the Chelsea problem lies in Jose not giving chances to new signings.. In that matter players don't feel pressure and loss there form. Also the team isn't progressing and developing. He didn't give chance to:

Cuadrado.. Really don't get this one.
      KDB
      Schurrle
      Salah even
      Baba
      Falcao

Those are all players who deserve chance IMO

    Hello

Little dilemma for the upcoming GW. Is the best thing to do with the All Out Attack-chip to utilize it for a double GW?
You see, i'm currently benching Ighalo (bou away), as my fifth mid is Hoolahan (LEI home). If Kompany wont get fit, il be forced to use Richards - which ill expect to concede against Stoke.
    So the options i see:
    1. Bench Ighalo and keep AOA-chip.
    2. Use AOA
    3. Bench Martial (!), start with Ighalo.

    1. FPL Daniel
      • 15 Years

      Play Ighalo

    2. Diva
      • 10 Years

I'm treating the AOA chip like a backline injury/suspension nightmare escape route. It sounds like you are close to that. Furthermore, I wouldn't want to bench Ighalo against Bournemouth.

Unless the weather leads to mass cancellations during the winter period, there will probably only be two double game weeks in which to play chips if recent history is any guide. Bench Boost and Triple Captain will be more useful for those weeks.

Thank you very much for your thorough response!

It is indeed very tempting to use it now, will behold until more update on Kompany and Yaya Toure will come. If Yaya isn't fit I'll just use Ighalo, if he's fit but not Kompany I'll probably use the AOA chip

Are you sure it will only be two double gameweeks (depending on the cancellations caused of the winter weather of course). Was it not many more last year?

        Here is the plan:

        GW 8:

        Hennessey
        Kolarov*, Monreal, Francis
Sánchez, Yaya Touré*(vc), Payet*, Walcott(c), Tadic
        Sturridge, Pellè*

Butland; Sakho, Alderweireld, Moreno … WC, 0.0 ITB, TC: 103.3, SV: 101.6

        Not properly organised, yet ...

wow that is looking really nice across the board.

How good is Monreal as a prospect? He is no 1 on my list of Gomez replacments, i think i'll get him after the United game.

Tadic was my pre season favourite who id idn't end up starting but he looks like immense value especially after the drop.

Hopefully you can find a waty to get Sakho on the park, i fancy him to score this weekend.
