Another midweek Gameweek is upon us and with it surely another bout of heavy rotation.
Benches at the ready, we start with three Tuesday night fixtures with Chelsea the headline act.
Antonio Conte’s side travel to Huddersfield Town, with the Italian having already prepared us for the absence of striker Alvaro Morata. Fatigue and a back problem keeps the Spanish striker sidelined with his red flag sparking a fire sale – over 663,000 managers have shed the striker ahead of tonight’s deadline.
That leaves Eden Hazard as the key attacking asset on show at the John Smith’s stadium, with the Belgian seemingly thrust into a central attacking role by Conte tonight. Hazard has already produced big scores on the road and will be fancied for further returns against a Terriers defence that has creaked of late.
Meanwhile, those holding Blues defender will hope for a reversal of fortunes following just a single clean sheet from the last four Gameweeks. Andreas Christensen makes his seventh successive start in Chelsea’s back three tonight.
Defence will also be the focus at Turf Moor, where Burnley host Stoke City. Ben Mee and Matt Lowton again miss out for Sean Dyche’s side, though left-back Stephen Ward takes his 25.5% ownership into the clash with the Potters.
Finally, at Selhurst Park, we’d expect defences to play second fiddle in the meeting of Crystal Palace and Watford. Both field attacking line-ups, with Richarlison starting for the visitors despite the pre-match talk of a rest for the Brazilian. Ruben Loftus-Cheek – a fifth midfielder in 440,000+ squads, could yet become a key figure and a hero in tonight’s clash.
