Jose Mourinho has revealed that Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea’s home clash with Everton after he chose to protect the Spaniard’s hamstring by resting him away to Villa last weekend.
Raheem Sterling (foot) and Philippe Coutinho (knee) are both expected to recover in time for Tottenham’s visit, whilst Brendan Rodgers is optimistic on Adam Lallana’s chances of recovering from a groin complaint. The Reds were dealt a blow, though, after Lucas was ruled out with the thigh injury that forced him off early on at Goodison on Saturday.
Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony will miss City’s trip to Stoke tomorrow evening. The duo will travel to Ivory Coast to celebrate their victory over Ghana in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations final.

Connor Wickham has recovered from injury, though Emmanuele Giaccherini and Jack Rodwell are doubtful for the home clash against QPR. Billy Jones is available again after missing out through injury at the weekend.
QPR caretaker boss Chris Ramsey has confirmed Rio Ferdinand and Bobby Zamora will start against the Black Cats, with the likes of Richard Dunne, Nedum Onouha and Charlie Austin all ruled out through injury. Ramsey also revealed Mauro Zarate is in contention to be named in the first XI.
