Latest News: Riccardo Calafiori (knee), Kieran Tierney (hamstring) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) remain out, while loanee Raheem Sterling won’t be able to face his parent club. There was more press conference vaguery on Friday from Mikel Arteta, who said that there would be late checks on Declan Rice (toe), Kai Havertz (head) and Mikel Merino (illness). Rice is the more serious concern: he hasn't trained all week due to a broken toe, although media reports suggest he's ready to play through the pain barrier as Alexander Isak initially did for Newcastle earlier this season. It is believed that neither Havertz nor Merino suffered a concussion after blows to the head in midweek, so the assumption is that those two will be fine. Martin Odegaard (ankle) returned to the Gunners squad on Wednesday, contributing the briefest of cameos against Inter, and Arteta said he will assess the Norwegian before deciding whether "it's too early or the right moment for him" to start. Merino, Jorginho and, probably less likely in a game of this magnitude, Ethan Nwaneri are all possibilities alongside Thomas Partey in the engine room if Rice and/or Odegaard aren't deemed fit to start, while Gabriel Jesus could get a look-in even if Havertz is fit after some dire recent displays from Leandro Trossard. The back four, fitness permitting, looks the most settled area of the team this week, with Calafiori still missing.

Latest News: We didn't get much of a team news update from Unai Emery on Friday. Two of Villa's players missed out on their trip to Bruges in midweek: Ross Barkley is absent till after the international break, while it sounds likely that Matty Cash (calf) will be too. The Villa website meanwhile says that Youri Tielemans (knee) is expected to be available for Saturday’s trip to Liverpool, despite not being included in Belgium’s squad for their forthcoming UEFA Nations League double-header. Ezri Konsa looks set to deputise at right-back if Cash misses out as expected, with Diego Carlos benefitting at centre-half. Lucas Digne, Pau Torres, Amadou Onana and perhaps Jacob Ramsey look set to return following their midweek breathers in Europe, with Morgan Rogers - who recovered from injury to feature in Belgium - moving back to the 'hole' after a run-out on the left on Wednesday. While Tyrone Mings had an evening to forget against Bruges, Boubacar Kamara really impressed in midfield. It won't be long before he's part of a Premier League XI again but fitness may win out over form this weekend, as two starts in 72 hours might be a big ask after so long on the sidelines.

Latest News: Luis Sinisterra (hamstring) and Dango Ouattara (abductor) are not ready to return for the trip to Brentford, while Bournemouth continue to be without longer-term absentee Alex Scott (knee). Kepa Arrizabalaga (abductor), who missed the last two games, should be available, however. Andoni Iraola admitted that Kepa's return gives him a "difficult" selection headache between the posts, with Mark Travers in fine form against Aston Villa and Manchester City over the last fortnight. Aside from that tough-to-call decision in goal, there aren't too many dilemmas elsewhere - especially with Ouattara and Scott out. The predicted line-up is the one that performed brilliantly in victory over Manchester City, so you'd expect Iraola to keep things unchanged outfield at least. Evanilson's successive goals look set to give him the edge over Enes Unal up top, while Adam Smith's recent displays at right-back will likely keep Julian Araujo benched.

Latest News: Thomas Frank isn't expecting anyone to return for the visit of Bournemouth. Kristoffer Ajer (foot) had been "progressing well", the last we heard, but Frank ruled him out for a "few more weeks" in Friday's press conference. Rico Henry (knee), Igor Thiago (knee) and Gustavo Nunes (back) are set to feature in a behind-closed-doors game in the November break, while Aaron Hickey (hamstring) and Josh Dasilva (knee) are long-term absentees. With Ajer and Henry still out and Mads Roerslev having a poor game on Monday night, Frank may decide to get creative at the back. There's the option of going 3-5-2 or perhaps shifting Vitaly Janelt to left-back so that Sepp van den Berg can move back over to his more natural right-hand side, with Mathias Jensen coming into midfield as a result. Then again, Frank launched an impassioned defence of the under-fire Roerslev in Friday's presser - there may be a stay of execution yet. Fabio Carvalho and Kevin Schade are alternatives to Keane Lewis-Potter on the left wing but he had been in good nick before the Fulham defeat, winning man of the match in Brentford's last home game against Ipswich.

Latest News: Joao Pedro (ankle) and Matt O’Riley (ankle) have been back in training for a week now and have a “big chance” of featuring against Manchester City, if only from the bench at first. Fabian Hurzeler seemed less sure about Lewis Dunk (calf) and Yankuba Minteh (muscle), however. Media reports had previously suggested Dunk would be out until after the international break, while he, along with Minteh, hasn't been spotted in training images this week. Elsewhere, Adam Webster (hamstring) and James Milner (hamstring) are still sidelined, while Solly March (knee) is injury-free but not match-fit enough to return after a lengthy lay-off. A knee issue restricted Carlos Baleba to substitute duty against Liverpool but he's available for selection, as is Yasin Ayari likely to be following his Gameweek 10 knock. Ferdi Kadioglu was not sighted in midweek training images (alongside the aforementioned absentees) but he was on media duty for the club this week, which could explain that. If there is anything sinister in his absence, Georginio Rutter could move over to the right flank to accommodate Ayari - if fit - centrally. Baleba returning to the XI is by some distance the likeliest change to the side, with this surely not the type of game for Brajan Gruda or Simon Adingra. Mats Wieffer has slipped down the pecking order in midfield, too.

Latest News: Cole Palmer is a slight doubt for Sunday's clash with Arsenal after picking up a knock last weekend. He couldn't play in Chelsea's clash with Noah on Thursday anyway due to not being named in the Conference League squad but he failed to train ahead of that European fixture, although Enzo Maresca did express hope that he would be fit when facing the media on Wednesday. Speaking again after the 8-0 rout of the Armenian side, Maresca said Palmer was "getting better" and would "hopefully" train by Saturday at the latest. Other than Palmer and Jadon Sancho, who is fighting his way back from a knock and illness, Chelsea have a fully fit squad. The starting XI on Thursday may well have been a signpost for Sunday's line-up, with Marc Cucurella's omission a big hint that he'll get the nod over Malo Gusto - who was poor in Gameweek 10 - against Arsenal. Enzo Fernandez's half-time withdrawal against Noah was also intriguing: could it be that he was being preserved for the visit of Arsenal? Maresca said only a week ago that he currently favoured Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo in the middle for "physicality and strength" but Cucurella inverting into midfield, rather than Gusto advancing into the '10' role, could change that. Alternatively, we could see all three start in a more regimented 4-3-3, as Maresca did with mixed results in Gameweek 1. If fit, Palmer would move over to the right in that scenario.

Latest News: Oliver Glasner confirmed on Friday that Eddie Nketiah has picked up a hamstring injury and will miss the visit of Fulham. The striker joins Eberechi Eze (hamstring), Adam Wharton (groin), Jefferson Lerma (hamstring), Chadi Riad (knee) and Matheus Franca (groin) on the Eagles' injury list, while Will Hughes is also unavailable thanks to a one-match suspension. Joel Ward (unknown) and Chris Richards (hamstring) are back, at least, having returned to training. The availability of Ward and Richards doesn't really help with the shortage of bodies in the middle of the park and in attack, unless Glasner takes a leaf out of Roy Hodgson's book and starts Richards out of position in the engine room. Trevoh Chalobah and Marc Guehi could also be pushed forward but the back three is starting to look settled so Cheick Doucoure, who only returned from a lengthy lay-off last weekend, may be forced to start sooner than anticipated. Nketiah's withdrawal last weekend saw substitute Nathaniel Clyne enter at right wing-back and Daniel Munoz pushed up to the right-sided number 10 role, a makeshift solution that Glasner may turn to again against Fulham. Jeffrey Schlupp and, if another body can be found in midfield, Daichi Kamada are other possible Nketiah replacements.

Latest News: Youssef Chermiti (foot), Armando Broja (foot), James Garner (back) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot) will remain out for the Toffees. Broja is partly back in training but Sean Dyche reiterated on Thursday that he'll need some significant time on the grass and a "games programme" before being considered for the first team. Seamus Coleman (hamstring) has joined the injury list, too, while there are suggestions that Dwight McNeil has suffered a flare-up of his niggly knee issue. Dyche didn't mention that in his presser, however. Abdoulaye Doucoure could be back after missing out in Gameweek 10 with a minor groin injury, while Illiman Ndiaye took part in training on Thursday after suffering a knock against Southampton that ultimately led to his withdrawal. Dyche was asked repeatedly about his Dominic Calvert-Lewin v Beto dilemma up top, appearing more receptive to a recall for the latter than he did last week by saying the "margins were tighter". All of that may be moot anyway if Calvert-Lewin's absence from training images and videos means anything; it's not always a guarantee of an injury. Just to prove a point, McNeil and Coleman were seen in that same video - and the latter we know is definitely out. Michael Keane v Jarrad Branthwaite is a weekly debate, with Dyche perhaps hinting at the former keeping his place by saying that he would expect to "get a chance to keep playing" if he was performing well. There are unconfirmed rumours that Everton have been training in a back five this week, however, which would solve that conundrum.

Latest News: Marco Silva confirmed on Thursday that Sasa Lukic (shoulder) is the only player on the Fulham injury list, with no fresh concerns from Monday night. Silva has kept changes to a minimum this season but did make one in the west London derby, with Reiss Nelson coming in for Adama Traore and responding with a fine display. Harry Wilson is certainly pushing for a start of his own after a match-winning cameo against Brentford - but perhaps not on the wings where he has traditionally featured for Fulham. Wilson's brace came from a central role, so it may be Andreas Pereira or Emile Smith Rowe most at risk if the Wales international does get a recall. Silva did add that Wilson's chance will come "sooner or later" and that "the competition is really high for the positions", perhaps laying the groundwork for more short-term disappointment for the Welsh attacking midfielder - although a busy period awaits in December, when he might get more of an opportunity. The same may apply to Timothy Castagne, Harrison Reed, Tom Cairney and Rodrigo Muniz in their respective positions.

It's one in, one out on the suspension front, meanwhile: Harry Clarke returns from a one-match ban but Kalvin Phillips has to serve one of his own. Kieran McKenna reported no fresh concerns on Friday, while Dara O'Shea continues to manage a back niggle at centre-half. Jens Cajuste for the banned Phillips is probably the likeliest alteration, with Massimo Luongo yet to kick a ball since his own recovery from injury. Omari Hutchinson moved to the right flank last week and responded with arguably his best display of the season but McKenna may opt to move him back to the '10' role this week, bringing in Wes Burns out wide for more defensive protection.

Patson Daka (ankle) and Hamza Choudhury (shoulder) have been back in training over the last week, meanwhile, but Steve Cooper stressed that the former won't be rushed back into action having been out since pre-season. Jordan Ayew and Boubakary Soumare will be pushing for recalls after match-saving cameos in Gameweek 10, with Stephy Mavididi's poor recent displays potentially putting him at risk. Cooper could go more conservative for this clash, with Wilfred Ndidi perhaps pushed forward - as he was at Arsenal - to accommodate Soumare alongside Harry Winks. Neither Ricardo Pereira nor James Justin has really staked a convincing claim at right-back, while the uncertainty in the backline continued last weekend when Jannik Vestergaard ousted Caleb Okoli at centre-half.

Latest News: Arne Slot confirmed in his pre-match presser that Diogo Jota (rib) won't be back before the international break and while he didn't mention any other team news, it is understood that Alisson (hamstring), Harvey Elliott (foot) and Federico Chiesa (unknown) won't feature before Gameweek 12 either. Ibrahima Konate has however made a very swift return from a wrist injury sustained in Gameweek 10: he started for Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. Slot was quizzed about the tussle for the left-back slot, saying that he had "two very good" options in Kostas Tsimikas and Andrew Robertson and that rotation would continue. Given that Tsimikas has started twice already in the last seven days, and that neither player has started on three occasions in the same week in 2024/25, Robertson may be recalled here - not that he's the 'form' full-back on the left. Curtis Jones very much is enjoying a purple patch and there's a good chance he starts after a starring role against Leverkusen in midweek, with Dominik Szoboszlai perhaps benched again. If minutes are being managed in midfield, as Slot mentioned in his presser, then Alexis Mac Allister could instead be spared. Up top, and despite Luis Diaz's hat-trick in the Champions League, the Liverpool boss hinted at a return for Darwin Nunez in the central striker's role after a midweek breather. Again, if you're looking past precedents, Diaz and Cody Gakpo have seldom started three games in a week this season - only once has that happened, coincidentally with Gakpo's current unbroken run in league and cup. The Dutchman probably only started against Leverkusen to spare Darwin's legs and may pay the price against Aston Villa, with Diaz returning to the left flank.

Latest News: Pep Guardiola confirmed on Friday that Jack Grealish (unknown injury) is still out, despite his call-up by England. Rodri (knee) and Oscar Bobb (leg) are long-term absentees, while it doesn't sound like Ruben Dias (muscle) and John Stones (foot) are going to return either: Guardiola said in his pre-match presser that he expected to have the same squad he had in Lisbon in midweek. Nathan Ake for Jahmai Simpson-Pusey is a likely change from Tuesday providing Ake isn't injured (he's not been called up by the Netherlands), with the alternative being Josko Gvardiol at centre-half and Rico Lewis as an inverting left-back. Jeremy Doku could also come into the equation after back-to-back substitute appearances following injury. It's not just fresh legs to cope with Brighton's intensity but also the Seagulls' high line and aggressive pressing that may factor into Guardiola's thoughts, something that the likes of Doku, Savinho and Phil Foden - who bagged two here last season - could exploit. The City boss may be sufficiently spooked by Albion's transitions and Kaoru Mitoma's pace to field an out-of-sorts Kyle Walker at right-back, although Lewis could still get a look-in elsewhere. Central midfield is a possibility, for instance, with Ilkay Gundogan struggling to reach past heights and Bernardo Silva looking jaded.

The only fresh concern is Amad Diallo, whose two-goal display against PAOK on Thursday was slightly soured by a knock. He'll be assessed ahead of Sunday's clash with Leicester. Amad may well have played himself back into the starting XI had it not been for that minor injury, with Alejandro Garnacho perhaps the likeliest makeweight after two dismal displays at home and abroad. That change may still happen after Amad himself downplayed any concern in a post-match interview. Christian Eriksen (unknown), Mason Mount (knock/head) and Antony (ankle/foot) all returned to the United squad on Thursday evening after lay-offs of varying lengths, with Eriksen probably the only one of that trio who stands the chance of a start - likely in place of Manuel Ugarte, in his case. At least there are no new concerns, while Jacob Murphy (hamstring) should also return. Even Matt Targett, who has had a year on the sidelines with Achilles and hamstring injuries and an eczema flare-up, has been back in training this week - but we're not going to see him in a starting XI any time soon. A superb performance against Arsenal last weekend will very likely see changes kept to a minimum, with the leading candidate for a recall being Sandro Tonali. The Italy international had been superb in the EFL Cup tie against Chelsea a few days before Gameweek 10 but it's difficult to find a place for him, with Bruno Guimaraes pretty much nailed and Joe Willock successfully renewing his left-sided partnership with Joelinton in the last fortnight. Sean Longstaff will probably be the player to make way if Tonali does get a promotion to the side but Longstaff himself has performed admirably of late, so the betting money would be on an unchanged XI. Harvey Barnes, Miguel Almiron and Murphy are the alternatives in the wide positions if Joelinton is moved back to midfield, which seems unlikely unless any late injuries strike.

Elliot Anderson was the unlucky makeweight last Saturday as Morgan Gibbs-White returned from an ankle injury - and the former Newcastle prospect may be unfortunate to miss out again this Sunday. Anderson could still be crowbarred into the team, perhaps in a deeper role alongside Ryan Yates or out wide in place of Anthony Elanga, but bench duty is still perhaps the likeliest scenario. There's little up for debate elsewhere, with Chris Wood and Matz Sels in good form at either end of the field and the back four unchanged since Gameweek 4.

Joe Aribo is an option in the middle of the park if Lallana's groin renders him unable to contribute anything other than a cameo, while there's the possibility of Tyler Dibling returning to the starting XI after he impressed off the bench against the Toffees. Cristian Romero (toe) "has a chance", however: he missed Thursday's defeat to Galatasaray but Postecoglou said he was "keen" to train in the following days, so a late call will be made on him. The Lilywhites got through unscathed from the loss in Turkey, with many of the big guns having their minutes managed. That included Son Heung-min, who Postecoglou said would continue to be handled carefully after his recent injury relapse. Given that Moore, Werner, Odobert and Richarlison are out, the betting money would still be on a Gameweek 11 start and an early-ish withdrawal for Son. Ben Davies is an alternative to Radu Dragusin after the latter's stinker in Turkey but the bigger call is in midfield after Pape Matar Sarr delivered a man-of-the-match display against Aston Villa a week ago. A more winnable home fixture against Ipswich might tempt Postecoglou into starting Maddison in the same midfield as Dejan Kulusevski (Sarr's energy and physicality are perhaps a better fit for the 'bigger' matches) but the England international failed to impress in the Europa League, so a more rested Sarr may still hold the upper hand.

Edson Alvarez is suspended, too, following his red card last weekend for two bookable offences. As for Niclas Fullkrug, he's not featured since the September break thanks to a persistent Achilles issue and still remains sidelined. Julen Lopetegui meanwhile mentioned some "little issues" in his team news round-up on Thursday. They may include Alphonse Areola and Tomas Soucek, who reportedly missed out in Gameweek 10 due to injury and illness respectively. Soucek was at least spotted in a training video in midweek - but Areola, Jarrod Bowen and Jeanclair Todibo weren't. If there is anything to read into Todibo's absence, then last week's back three may be shelved - although there is the possibility of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Aaron Cresswell or Vladimir Coufal operating as a third centre-back. The loss of Bowen would be more keenly felt, should it materialise, with Michail Antonio and/or Danny Ings tussling for a recall after Bowen's run-out through the middle against Nottingham Forest. Carlos Soler is another option in the attacking midfield positions.

If he is going to change formation, as he did midway through the Crystal Palace game last weekend, you'd think it would happen in a home match against Southampton or not at all. A switch to a back four would likely either see a) Rayan Ait-Nouri at left-back or b) Toti Gomes in that position and Ait-Nouri playing as a winger further up the flank. You could pick any name out of Carlos Forbs, Pablo Sarabia, Rodrigo Gomes and Goncalo Guedes out of a hat for attacking duty alongside Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen, with Sarabia getting the start last week but hooked after wasting two big chances. His replacement Guedes bagged an assist but O'Neil did defend Sarabia in his presser, highlighting his ability to pick up those positions in the first place. Johnstone was reportedly set to be on the bench in Gameweek 10 before illness struck, so Jose Sa may keep the shirt for now.
