Latest News: Ben White will be out for "months" after he underwent knee surgery over the international break, while Kieran Tierney (hamstring) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) are not quite ready to feature. Riccardo Calafiori (knee) returns to the squad, however, while loanee Raheem Sterling is available again after he was unable to face his parent club in Gameweek 11. As for Leandro Trossard (hamstring), Declan Rice (toe) and Bukayo Saka (muscle), Mikel Arteta said that the former "seems to be okay" and that the latter two were "very good as well", sending out the usual mixed messages by adding that the three had only partly trained but that they were all "back". Who knows what the truth is from those comments but taking Arteta at face value, he'll have a near full-strength team to put out against Forest. Mikel Merino is an alternative to Rice if the England international is out, while the Spaniard could also feature in the engine room if Calafiori isn't completely ready and Thomas Partey's services are needed at right-back. Gabriel Jesus is the makeshift option on the right if Saka fails to make it.

Latest News: Ezri Konsa (hip) and Amadou Onana (knee) will miss the visit of Crystal Palace, while Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara, who picked up hamstring injuries in Gameweek 11, remain sidelined. Ross Barkley (unspecified) and Matty Cash (calf) are back, however, while Pau Torres (muscle) and Ian Maatsen (unspecified) have been sighted in training since withdrawing from international duty last week. Cash and Barkley could be thrust straight back into the side in the absence of Konsa and Onana, although Villa do have Lamare Bogarde and Kosta Nedeljkovi? as alternatives at right-back and John McGinn could be redeployed alongside Youri Tielemans in midfield. If that's the case with McGinn, Jadon Philogene can come in on the left wing. Jhon Duran still awaits a first league start of 2024/25 but after minutes for Colombia and a late arrival back from South America, it looks even less likely than before.

Latest News: While Andoni Iraola didn't quite give the all-clear, Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez have pretty much been passed fit for the visit of Brighton and Hove Albion. The pair bowed out of international duty over the break but Iraola said he "hopes" they will come through training on Friday and be available the following day. Neither player has a fresh injury, merely "tendonitis" associated with playing a lot of games. After a fortnight's rest, the expectation is that they'll be good to go this weekend. Ryan Christie will miss out after collecting his fifth booking of the season, however, while Luis Sinisterra (hamstring), Alex Scott (knee) and Julian Araujo (hamstring) are on the injury list. We didn't get an update on Dango Ouattara (abductor) but he should be back based on a previous update from his manager. Tyler Adams looks set to continue alongside Lewis Cook in the absence of Christie, who played as a '10' at Brentford - so Justin Kluivert will presumably shift over to that position, with Marcus Tavernier coming in on the left. It's difficult to see much else changing given the players unavailable to Iraola, with the likes of David Brooks and Philip Billing used exclusively as substitutes this season. The versatile Ouattara is of course an option if he's fully fit, plus a possible deputy for Semenyo or even Kerkez should either miss out.

Latest News: Thomas Frank says he expects Bryan Mbeumo (unspecified issue), Yoane Wissa (unspecified issue) and Ethan Pinnock (hip) to be "available and ready for Saturday" after the trio withdrew from their national team squad with "minor issues". Igor Thiago (knee) is also set to be in the squad to face Everton after featuring in a behind-closed-doors game in the November break, although the match comes too soon for Gustavo Nunes (back) despite his own involvement in that friendly. Rico Henry (knee), Aaron Hickey (hamstring), Josh Dasilva (knee) and Kristoffer Ajer (foot) also remain out. Changes will very likely be minimal following the 3-2 win over Bournemouth, with the likeliest alteration - if any - perhaps being a recall for Mads Roerslev. Maligned for his performance against Fulham in Gameweek 10, he was dropped a fortnight ago as Keane Lewis-Potter took over full-back duties. Roerslev responded with a fine showing while away with Denmark, so Frank may consider building on that momentum and confidence boost with a recall at Goodison Park. Other than that, expect the likes of Fabio Carvalho, Yehor Yarmoliuk and Kevin Schade to be warming the bench once more alongside the fit-again Thiago.

Latest News: Jack Hinshelwood (knee) remains a doubt after his Gameweek 11 withdrawal, with further assessment to come in between Fabian Hurzeler's press conference on Thursday and the short trip to Bournemouth at the weekend. Elsewhere, James Milner (hamstring) is still out, Ferdi Kadioglu (toe) looks set to remain sidelined and Adam Webster (hamstring) is expected to miss out again despite being "close" to a comeback. Albion continue to be cautious with Solly March (match fitness), meanwhile, after his return to training following a year on the sidelines with a knee injury. Yasin Ayari (ankle) and Tariq Lamptey (calf), who both withdrew from their respective national team squads as precautions, weren't mentioned by name in the broadcast section of Hurzeler's press conference but the Brighton boss did say that he was "more positive... with the others" when grilled on the latest injury situation. In better news, Carlos Baleba (knee) is fit, Yankuba Minteh (muscle) returned to action with Gambia over the last fortnight and Lewis Dunk (calf) is "close" after a return to training. There's a lot to unpack above, then, and that's before we even get into international exertions: Kaoru Mitoma and Pervis Estupinan have both been benched after previous breaks. Mitoma at least had his minutes managed with Japan this time, with Estupinan the only Seagull to get more than 145 minutes for their national team. Even then, with Kadioglu, Hinshelwood and Lamptey all doubts and Baleba's services perhaps needed in midfield, Estupinan may be required at left-back. It remains to be seen if it's too early for Joao Pedro and Matt O'Riley to be considered for a start but neither got minutes over the break (O'Riley was unused by Denmark) and Hurzeler said on Thursday that Brighton "did not buy [O'Riley] for the bench". O'Riley's chances of starting will of course be boosted if Hinshelwood and Ayari are out, although Mats Wieffer is an alternative in the middle. Georginio Rutter, Danny Welbeck, Joel Veltman and Igor Julio have all had two weeks off, so will be nicely rested for the weekend.

Latest News: Despite the myriad doubts and international withdrawals, Enzo Maresca said the only confirmed absentee for the trip to Leicester is Reece James (hamstring). Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Malo Gusto, Filip Jørgensen and Romeo Lavia all pulled out of their national squads with knocks or niggles over the break, while Jadon Sancho missed out in Gameweek 11 with a knock. However, all of the outfielders above - including Palmer - were seen in training this week, as were the late-returning Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez on Thursday. Probably the biggest question mark this weekend is the central midfield, with the South Americans' international exertions, Lavia's hamstring niggle and maybe even the midweek birth of Caicedo's daughter (sleepless nights and all that...) potentially factoring into Maresca's thoughts. Tactically, the Chelsea boss has said previously that the Lavia-Caicedo partnership has been favoured due to Malo Gusto's inverting into a '10' role, something we assume will continue in Gameweek 12 with James out. But a trip to one of the Premier League minnows could persuade him to operate with a bit more attacking freedom and tweak his system accordingly, whether that be with Enzo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or even Joao Felix or Christopher Nkunku operating as an 'eight'. Renato Veiga is another option, having started in the engine room immediately after the September international break. The other main decision for Maresca is who starts on the opposite flank to the in-form Pedro Neto. Noni Madueke has held the shirt since Gameweek 2 but he's not really hit the heights of that early-season hat-trick at Molineux, and Mykhailo Mudryk is pushing hard after some impressive performances on the continent. Sancho is another option out wide.

Daichi Kamada also begins a three-match ban. Palace do welcome back a couple of other players from injury and suspension: Jefferson Lerma (hamstring) is available again and Will Hughes returns from a one-game ban. In further positive news, Cheick Doucoure built up his match fitness with a behind-closed-doors run-out over the international break and, according to Oliver Glasner, is "ready to start". With Eze, Kamada and Nketiah out, Glasner has the option of putting Jeffrey Schlupp, Daniel Munoz or rookie Asher Agbinone in a front three with Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr or, armed with some fit-again central midfielders, turning to the 3-5-2 he used against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 8. Justin Devenny, a starter a fortnight ago, is also an option in the middle of the park if Lerma and/or Doucoure aren't fully match-fit. Marc Guehi will now presumably return to centre-half, with Nathaniel Clyne making way - or moving to right wing-back if Munoz is used in a more advanced role.

Latest News: Dwight McNeil (knee) has been back on the grass after missing out in Gameweek 11, while Jarrad Branthwaite (groin) also trained on Thursday following his precautionary withdrawal from the England squad. Sean Dyche said that McNeil "had a really good week" and has "come through it well", adding that Branthwaite "should be okay" and that the Toffees were "hopeful" of his recovery. If McNeil is ready to feature, then Abdoulaye Doucoure will likely make way rather than move back into central midfield to disrupt a slowly developing Mangala/Gueye partnership. Michael Keane will be on standby if Branthwaite misses out, of course. Dyche was bullish in his press conference about Illiman Ndiaye being better on the left and Beto needing work on his line-leading game, so it sounds like we're going to see a) Ndiaye continue out wide and b) goal-shy Dominic Calvert-Lewin again spearheading the attack. Jesper Lindstrom is probably the least secure of the front six, with Jack Harrison and even a redeployed McNeil an alternative on the right.

Latest News: It's one in, one out on the injury front as Sasa Lukic (shoulder) returns but fellow midfielder Harrison Reed (knee) is set for a spell on the sidelines. Reed needs surgery and will be out for 5-6 weeks. The Cottagers have no other injury concerns that we're aware of, so there are some more welcome selection dilemmas awaiting Marco Silva when Wolves come to town. Harry Wilson is certainly pushing for a start after goal-scoring cameos in the last two Gameweeks, either on the right flank or in a more central role where he starred against Brentford. A run-out instead of Andreas Pereira is certainly a possibility after the Brazilian returned late from South America, although the midfielder failed to kick a ball for his national team so is not likely to be physically fatigued. Silva said Andreas, Raul Jimenez and Antonee Robinson "look okay" following their midweek exertions across the pond, adding that the Cottagers will "keep assessing them" ahead of Gameweek 12. Silva has never before benched Robinson in a Premier League match immediately after an international break, while Jimenez started in Gameweek 7 after a similarly quick turnaround - although he only featured once for Mexico during the October break. Last season, he started in two of the three league matches immediately after international duty with Mexico, with his only benching coming in a period when he'd been dropped anyway. Nevertheless, it'd be remiss not to acknowledge the risk posed by Rodrigo Muniz. Silva doesn't change his side willingly: 10 of this starting XI have started every match they've been available for over the last four Gameweeks, with Reiss Nelson the one exception. Lukic may soon challenge for this place back but Silva suggested that the Serbian midfielder was still a little short of match sharpness, so that threat to Sander Berge is on the backburner for now.

Latest News: George Hirst (knee) has joined Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles) on the injury list, while Kalvin Phillips, back from a ban, will have to be assessed for a niggly recurring issue. Wes Burns (knock), Nathan Broadhead (groin) and Omari Hutchinson (foot) all pulled out of their national team squads over the break with supposedly minor injuries, with Kieran McKenna saying that the latter returned to training on Friday. Jacob Greaves (hamstring) and Jack Taylor (unspecified) have been back on the grass, meanwhile, with McKenna adding that the pair would be assessed before potentially being included in the squad to face Manchester United. Any lingering doubt over Greaves, Burns and Phillips may convince McKenna simply to stick with Cameron Burgess, Ben Johnson and Jens Cajuste, especially after the excellent win over Spurs a fortnight ago - a victory that all three played a big part in. There's little doubt, though, that Greaves will work his way back into the starting XI sooner rather than later. Conor Chaplin will be on standby for a run-out in the 'hole' if Hutchinson isn't quite ready.

Latest News: Abdul Fatawu is to miss the rest of the season after suffering an ACL tear, so the winger joins Jakub Stolarczyk (ankle) and Ricardo Pereira (hamstring) on the longer-term injury list. There were fears that Jordan Ayew had also suffered a significant issue while away with Ghana but Steve Cooper said on Thursday that the former Crystal Palace attacker isn't as badly injured as first feared and he isn't even definitely ruled out of Gameweek 12. Elsewhere in forward news, Jamie Vardy (back) is only in "modified training" after missing out in Gameweek 11, Bobby De Cordova-Reid has been on the grass as he manages a cut above his Achilles and Patson Daka is available after three months on the sidelines with an ankle problem. With Facundo Buonanotte suspended, Fatawu injured and potentially Ayew out, Cooper is a little short on attacking midfielders/wingers. It could pave the way for a recall for Stephy Mavididi and maybe even a first Premier League start for Kasey McAteer, unless his manager gets creative with the starting formation. Using a wing-back system, for instance, would circumvent the shortage of wingers, with Mavididi playing centrally alongside whichever centre-forward is deemed fit enough to start. Odsonne Edouard is the last man standing, should Ayew, Vardy and Daka not be ready. Oliver Skipp and the more attacking Bilal El-Khannous are alternatives in the centre, with the latter also potentially a narrower option on the right given that James Justin can provide the width from full-back.

Latest News: Alisson (hamstring) and Harvey Elliott (foot) have both resumed training over the international break, although the game comes too soon for the Brazilian and probably Elliott too. It's also too early for Federico Chiesa (unknown injury), who will resume parts of training on Friday, while Diogo Jota (rib) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (hamstring) are not yet on the grass with their teammates. Virgil van Dijk, who returned to Merseyside midway through the international break, is fine but there was nothing specific from Arne Slot on Alexis Mac Allister, who was substituted after being at the wrong end of a robust tackle while playing for Argentina in midweek. Given that Slot mentioned checking on the fitness and jetlag of players coming back from South America, and considering that Mac Allister is on four bookings a week before Liverpool face Manchester City, do not be surprised to see him benched at St Mary's. Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz have also been in South America, of course, and Slot will likely have to start at least one of them given that Jota and Chiesa are out. Darwin was at least taken off at half-time in midweek (we've not heard of any injury being the reason), and it's always been either him or Jota leading the line in the league - although we have seen alternative tactical experiments in the cup competitions. If it is an either/or with Cody Gakpo and Diaz on the left, the Dutchman has had half the international game-time of Diaz, returned sooner and was benched in the Netherlands' last match on Tuesday. Conor Bradley will likely deputise for Alexander-Arnold at right-back, while it'll be interesting to see who gets the nod in the other full-back position. Andrew Robertson responded well to the challenge of Kostas Tsimikas with a fine performance in Gameweek 11 but the rotation will continue through the winter regardless, with Slot previously mentioning that Robertson needed his minutes managed due to the lack of a pre-season. Robertson has racked up 270 minutes for club and country over the last fortnight so, with Real Madrid and Manchester City ahead, perhaps Tsimikas gets this theoretically easier fixture. There's little doubt about Mohamed Salah starting: he was given two weeks off by Egypt in the international break.

Latest News: Mateo Kovacic has been added to the Manchester City injury list for the next 3-4 weeks, while Rodri (knee), Oscar Bobb (leg) and Ruben Dias (muscle) are still absent. John Stones (foot), Manuel Akanji (adductor) and Nathan Aké (hamstring) have at least alleviated the crisis at centre-half, with Pep Guardiola saying the first two "trained good" and that Ake is "coming back training". There is positive news elsewhere, as well. Jack Grealish, Matheus Nunes, Phil Foden and Nico O’Reilly had withdrawn from their national team squads over the last fortnight but despite the lack of a specific mention from Guardiola, they too were all spotted in training images on Wednesday. The Man City website also claims that Jeremy Doku (quad) has trained, so City might only be four men down come Saturday. How the reigning champions line up without Kovacic is the big question, with Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva a possibility in a double pivot and Rico Lewis also an option as a more conventional 'eight' rather than an inverted full-back. Guardiola went with more of a flat-back four the last time these two sides met in the league, indeed, although he did have Rodri and Kovacic fit as options in the engine room then. With question marks over Doku and Grealish and a late return from Brazil for Savinho (he didn't play a minute immediately after the October break), we could again see Foden and Nunes - who themselves were flagged as doubts - on the flanks. Bernardo Silva is also an option out wide, should Lewis be operating in midfield. Kevin De Bruyne has two substitute appearances and another fortnight of training under his belt as he creeps towards a first start since Gameweek 4. If it is still too soon for the Belgian, Foden could very well move back into a more central role with Bernardo offering a bit of his customary control on the right flank.

Latest News: We didn't get any team news from Ruben Amorim in his inaugural pre-match presser, which was dominated by wider talk about the club. He did however give a brief update when speaking to club media later in the day, saying that United had "some guys returning from injury" and would have to "manage the load [of] some players from the national teams". Amorim used Luke Shaw (calf) as an example of a returnee the Red Devils would have to "take care of", with the left-back among a cluster of forgotten faces on the training ground over the break. Medium-to-long-term absentees Leny Yoro (foot), Kobbie Mainoo (muscle) and Tyrell Malacia (knee) were also spotted in training over the break, as were Casemiro and Amad Diallo, who suffered knocks in Gameweek 11. Harry Maguire (muscle) looks set to remain out, however, while Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof returned to Carrington for assessment over the last fortnight after dropping out of the Argentina and Sweden squads respectively. Lindelof reportedly has a hamstring injury. United were sighted training in Amorim's favoured 3-4-3 over the last week, although the new boss did rather downplay the importance of that system in his presser. The likes of Casemiro, Jonny Evans, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford, Antony and Amad Diallo (as well as an early-returning Fernandes and Yoro, Shaw, Mainoo and Malacia) have all had the advantage of training with Amorim over the break, with Antony used as a wing-back - a first sign perhaps that wide players such as Alejandro Garnacho may be reinvented in this system. Evans and Matthijs de Ligt may not feature too prominently in Amorim's long-term plans but they are pretty much the only centre-halves without a fitness question mark over their name, while much may depend on Martinez's availability regarding the starting prospects of Shaw and Yoro at centre-back. Similarly, in midfield, Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro may continue their partnership if Mainoo remains short of match sharpness.

Dan Burn is also banned after picking up five yellow cards. Callum Wilson (back) and Kieran Trippier (hamstring) are closer to returns, at least, although Gameweek 12 may come too soon. Trippier is "slightly closer" to Wilson, according to Eddie Howe on Friday, but the Newcastle boss did say that the pair still had to "navigate the last few days" of rehab and that risks wouldn't be taken. The pair would likely only be among the substitutes anyway, with the Magpies in a good run of form. Howe will have to make one alteration, with Lloyd Kelly coming in for the suspended Burn at centre-half, but unenforced changes will be at a premium. The leading candidate for a recall is Sandro Tonali, who has been unlucky to find himself out of the side in the last two league matches. Despite coming on to play a part in two goals in Gameweek 11, Tonali may still find himself warming the bench on Monday - especially as he's just played 180 minutes for Italy and in-form positional rival Sean Longstaff has had a fortnight off. Harvey Barnes, a scorer at the City Ground two weeks ago, may also have to content himself with substitute duty as the Joelinton/Joe Willock link-up on the left continues to prove fruitful.

Latest News: All looks fairly positive on the team news front at Nottingham Forest, with longer-term absentees Danilo (ankle) and Ibrahima Sangare (hamstring) the only two definite absentees. Nuno Espirito Santo said on Thursday that Forest had "some other situations to manage and decide" but did add that his returning internationals were "for now, okay". That upbeat prognosis presumably includes Ola Aina, who withdrew from his national team squad over the last fortnight. Aina was reportedly taken off with a knock in Nigeria’s match against Benin a week ago and subsequently returned to his club, although there had been an agreement in place for that to happen even before the injury. Elliot Anderson also withdrew from England under-21 duty with a foot injury that he has been managing for weeks now, with Nuno saying "let's see" when asked about the young midfielder's fitness. Nuno could turn to the more conservative set-ups he used to good effect against Liverpool and Chelsea for this tricky trip to the Emirates. Anderson was used out wide in both games and Nicolas Dominguez operated on the right flank at Anfield, with Anthony Elanga starting neither. Anderson's foot niggle could be a factor, however, with Callum Hudson-Odoi instead starting as he did at Chelsea. The back four is unchanged since Gameweek 4 and the likes of Chris Wood and Matz Sels are in good form, so we're not expecting much to change elsewhere. James Ward-Prowse stands to benefit in midfield if Dominguez is moved to a wider role.

Ryan Fraser returns from illness, however, and Flynn Downes (knee) is also fine after pulling out of the side to face Wolves two weeks ago. Russell Martin did however say the midfielder will have to be "managed" in the busy weeks ahead. Alex McCarthy in for Ramsdale is a straightforward enough swap but how Martin replaces Bednarek is the bigger question. Jack Stephens has been operating as a sort of inverting left-back in recent weeks so could move over to a more orthodox centre-half spot, with Yukinari Sugawara or Charlie Taylor perhaps coming in at full-back. If Martin wants to keep Stephens in his current role, there could be a first start of the season for Ronnie Edwards, Nathan Wood or even the unfancied Armel Bella-Kotchap. Downes presumably starts if fit after Martin said the midfielder was much missed against Wolves, with Joe Aribo the favourite to make way. Tyler Dibling has replaced Ryan Manning off the bench in the last two Gameweeks, with Adam Armstrong swapping flanks, so there is the possibility of the youngster getting the nod from the start if Martin is feeling bold ahead of the visit of the league leaders.

Latest News: Spurs will have both first-choice centre-halves absent for the trip to Manchester City this weekend. Micky van de Ven (hamstring) is still a few weeks away, while Cristian Romero (toe) hasn't recovered after aggravating a niggly injury while away with Argentina. Richarlison (hamstring) and Wilson Odobert (hamstring) also remain on the Spurs injury list, while Rodrigo Bentancur begins a seven-match ban and Mikey Moore is still out with an illness. Ben Davies and Radu Dragusin look set to fill in for the missing centre-backs, with the versatile Archie Gray also an option at the rear. Yves Bissouma will be poised for an extended run in the side given that Bentancur is suspended, while this very much seems like a game for Pape Matar Sarr's physicality and energy in midfield rather than James Maddison's playmaking qualities. The front three almost picks itself at present, with Richarlison, Moore and Odobert out and the underwhelming Timo Werner the only alternative.

Latest News: Mohammed Kudus serves game four of a five-match ban but Edson Alvarez returns from his own suspension on Monday. On the injury front, Niclas Fullkrug (Achilles) remains out while two others - who Julen Lopetegui didn't want to name in his pre-match presser - are slight doubts for the trip to Newcastle. With his job potentially on the line, it'll be interesting to see what Lopetegui does on Tyneside. Does he stick with the 4-2-3-1 that eked out a draw at home to Everton or return to the wing-back formation he trialled in the last away game at Nottingham Forest, an unconvincing tactic that was further undermined by Alvarez's first-half red card? Konstantinos Mavropanos could come back in as a third centre-half if we do see the 3-5-2/3-4-3 revisited, while Jarrod Bowen led the line - Michail Antonio was the fall-guy - when we saw this system three weeks ago. Alvarez and Carlos Soler are alternatives in the middle of the park depending on the set-up, while Danny Ings is an option up top as Antonio continues to toil.

Latest News: Santiago Bueno pulled out of the Uruguay squad last week with a muscle injury but he has since "done some work on the grass" and will travel to Fulham on Saturday, although local media did suggest that the centre-half is more of a doubt than Gary O'Neil was letting on. The Wolves boss said that he didn't "want to give too much away" in his presser, adding that he would have to make "a couple of checks" before matchday. Pablo Sarabia was substituted with a “tight calf” in Gameweek 11, so he may be one of the concerns mentioned above. Elsewhere, Pedro Lima (ankle), Yerson Mosquera (knee), Boubacar Traore (knee), Sasa Kalajdzic (knee) and Enso Gonzalez (knee) remain out but Hwang Hee-chan (ankle) looks set for a return to the squad now that he has a few weeks of training under his belt. O'Neil will no doubt not want to change too much with his starting XI after a win over Southampton but any absence for Bueno could force a reshuffle, with Toti Gomes moving to centre-half and Rayan Ait-Nouri moving back to left-back. Jeanricner Bellegarde and Carlos Forbs are the options to replace Sarabia if needed, with Goncalo Guedes exclusively a substitute this season and Rodrigo Gomes barely used at all in the last few months. Andre or Tommy Doyle could come into the side, too, should O'Neil move back to a three-man midfield to combat Fulham's strength in the middle of the park.
