The ScoutCast – Episode 159 – Inactive

Only one FPL manager could withstand a 52-point hit and walk away with a smile on their face. In this week’s ScoutCast episode we tell the extraordinary tale of the FPL champion’s “inactive” Wildcard, whilst looking back on Granville’s own, rather more successful squad refresh.

We tackle all the usual regulars, as Jonty arrives armed with another array of quizzical requests from you, the community. We look forward to the Gameweek 37 double Gameweek, assess the role of end of season motivation and recall the moment that Jamie Vardy’s girlfriend turned our world upside down. No really.

This week’s episode was published live on Monday via Google Hangouts. You can view the full, uncut footage in the larger player below or via our YouTube channel.

If you prefer the slick, slimline audio edition, you’ll need this link or the first player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Whos more likely to get the most points this week?

    a) Hendo
    b) Coutinho

Just noticed I can afford Ramsey by getting rid of either.

Tough one. I'll vote for Hendo since he is on my team. Been the better performer out of the 2 in BPL this season, and is on pens.

Ozil or Ramsey for remaining games?

Ozil slightly higher PPG, Ramsey a bit cheaper and looking sharp. Do worry that Rambo will possibly play CM and not in the 3 AM positions.

Apologies for the reference to poor choice language there, but I honestly couldn't think of any better / more appropriate word. The man is supposed to be representing a Premiership football club, is being broadcast to thousands and is speaking so inappropriately to people who contribute to his and his club's monies. Horrendous.

I was going to post asking about team advice but seems frivolous. After hearing the sad news of Abs death, a man I sadly didn't get to know, I would like to pass my condolences to his family. He must of suffered greatly but never took the easy way out, and went out with his head held high and putting smiles on the faces of others.

If nothing, it lets us know how short life is, and to enjoy it as much as possible. But it also shows us how the simple pleasures are truly special. A lot of people would just see FF as nothing but a game, but it obviously is more. With his final few days, Abs was on FF and here, picking his team and trying to climb those ranks! We have a community here, that we should be proud of and appreciate. Any one of us could sadly pass at any time, and just truly want everyone to know how lucky we are and I appreciate being a part of this community

Did the same in Vancouver. So cool. Saw blackfish afterwards a few weeks later. So not cool. There aren't really two sides to thi story. Humans raising these whales for entertainment and profit, and the whales get clearly depressed. They need wide open social pods.

We've been criticized all season by the media for being shite - despite them watching our games. And for that reporter to then say what criticism, angered Nige. And rightly so. He's trying to defend his players.

The way he goes about it, though, is unacceptable. Needs to learn that there's a time and a place.

I don't think the media have been overly critical of Leicester at all. As the BBC guy Murphy points out in the above clip, mostly the media have agreed with the Leicester fans (and PL watchers in general) that Leicester have had more than their fair share of bad luck this season.

I agree with what you say that the way he goes about it is unacceptable. However there is no time or place for that kind of arrogant and frankly bullying behaviour. Imagine having to listen to him in the dressing room as your boss. I've obviously never met him but what a horrible bloke he appears to be.

I actually like him. Klopp was being celebrated, when he made fun of reporters, albeit he seemed friendlier, but Nigel is not a bully. Those reporters don't need to be protected. They choose the topics and they're surely a passive aggresive nuissance from time to time (just to get a story or a moment).

I like it when smth "happens" too. He hasn't hurt anyone, except for Mc Arthur a little maybe.
I much rather despise Mourinhos comments about fellow managers (fe Wenger) and teams (West Ham last season) and his trying to manipulate referees

Hmm, comparing the two and Fellaini comes way out on top. Any reason to go for Mane?

      No Giroud?

Nope. End of season punt time.

Altho I have exact cash to do Sterling -> Ramsey and Kane -> Giru.

Unlikely to do the Giru move. Might get Kosc as 3rd Arse slot

Evening all. Due to internet issues I haven't had any news. Were there any pressers today?

Quite a few. Check the FFS tweets on the home page. Not much news on any highly owned players apart from Schlupp is fine, Moreno is fine and Huth is a maybe.

I would try to fit Cambiasso in by other means. Mata and Kane may also do well this week.

Draft game semi final gwk 37. Should I be worried that I have no Spurs coverage? Potential opponent has Chadli.

    Hey Everyone,

Why is nobody thinking of Vardy?

I have 2FT and Im thinking of taking a 4 point hit and bringing in: Vardy, Benteke and Morgan>Kane, Rose and Remy.

Any other suggestions? I need 3 players to turn my team around:

    Pantilimon/Foster (inj)

Lescott, Rose (75%), Clark (Inj), Monreal, Gardos

    Cazorla Silva Mata Elia Hazard

    Augero Kane Remy

Me?! Don't ask, about 52,000 something I think. I'm more of a private draft league game player.

The uncertainty over Vardy's foot injury is a little off putting.
