With just one match remaining of the penultimate Gameweek, we delve into the members data once again this evening. We assess the recent displays of Villa, Everton and Swansea’s frontman, cast an eye over David Silva’s season, and also analyse the main men from Southampton, QPR and Palace’s midfields.
He has been looking dangerous!
Emile Heskey looked dangerous too.
Back in his Leicester days maybe! 😀
😆
Or the people in row z 😉
*to the
Moment's goneThis!
Bit of a strange one imo considering United's awful away form and the fact that Hull actually have something to play for.
He has looked excellent though in his defence.
Indeed
It bookends the season nicely. We have come full circle
Crap defence for this week. Pick 2 to start?
A Dawson (ars)
B PVA (che), playing Panti
C Moreno (stk) - not nailed on
D Bertrand (mci)
E Take a -4 to get JT or Leicester defenderPVA and Moreno for the attack. Def wouldn't minus 4
Dabce ito
A and C.
tomorrow night's game is MASSIVE.
0-0 with 3 defenders would suit me down to the ground😳
3-1 IMO
5-3 arsenal.
Santi (3) Ramsey (2) and assisting each other
Panti peno save from Giroud with donkey sent off in rage.
15 Panti save points
Pva (3) with no assists.Lol @ only 4 players.
amazing if it happens!
0-0 up to 60 mins when Panti and PVA have a clash of heads and have to off resulting in Arsenal battering them 5-0 in the last half hour; Giroud assisted by Caz for all of them 😀
Crikey 😆
Don't like the clash of heads part. Maybe just hamstrings going for the same ball?
And Giroud assisted by Rambo*
Cazorla assisting the assister
Something like a 2-2 would be good. I really need some Sunderland attacking points from Larsson and/or Wickham. Wouldn't mind seeing Sanchez and Giroud score for Arsenal. Preferably nothing for Cazorla/Ramsey.
Well, at least if you have players in the game you can hope. 😕
What the feck do I do here? ML won already it seems.
Mig
Clyne JT Wasi
Hazard Sanchez Rambo Silva
Kun Kane Gru
1 FT & 0.2 ITB
A) Kane Gru out & Lukaku Vardy in -4
B) Kane Gru out & Tekkers Ulloa in -4
C) OtherBench: Myhill Cawson PVA Sameobi
Whose 5th mid?
scratch that.
Kane -- Murray/Cisse?Erm no
But thanks
Not a fan of the hits.
Maybe B with either Kane or Giroud out? If I had to pick, I'd go Giroud to Tekkers (I'm also stuck on the same'ish options). It's last week so I don't mind for a hit. I'm concern over TEkkers game time though, Tim may rest him for Arsenal game
I fear the same with Giroud 😛
But I just don't see a hit paying off last GW that's why.I see your point. Cheers fella
Kane to Ulloa and Rambo to Mata. Ramsey is more likely to be rested than Giroud.
Ah ha the lesser spotted Manè owner!
😎
Unless they lose to Sunderland which is unlikely
B
Guru to Lukaku
Play Myhill
I've narrowed my FT to three options, opinions would be appreciated.
A) Skrtel ➡ Kolarov
B) Hendo ➡ Punch/Bolasie
C) Giroud ➡ BentekeC would be my choice but many will disagree
I was thinking the same thing 😉
I would wait on tomorrow night but edging to B
I'll wait until Friday but I fear Arsenal rotation.
Cheers!
B
Cheers!
All good transfers. I really fancy Benteke to have a big game against Burnley though.
It's between him and Lukaku actually. Cheers for the input.
Can't understand how guys can plan ahead most have 4/5/6 players tomorrow night-anything could happen.
Ship 2 Arsenal and bench Sunderland
Plan A to be prepared
Then plan B,C if necessary after tomorrowAnd then plan C after the pressers
Plan D after Bibgate
Plan E after Hutton dressed as lamb posts
......
😉🙂
I like having an idea of what Im going to do rather than panicking last minute, but then again Im going to panic last minute anyways 😆
Has it me or has there been less goals score din the first half of matches that usual this season. I swear most Sat i get all excited in anticipation of goals and most games are 0-0 at half time...
jeez tired typing
Many of the recent games have been low scoring (at least the ones I've been watching). So yes, I agree.
Lukaku or TEkkers this GW and why
Normally TEkkers no brainer but will he given rest by Sherwood?Lukaku - stats are v impressive and hes nailed
Posted this on Monday.
5-3 I recall to Bentekke.Benteke won't be rested imo, highly unlikely.
Both are great picks though, think they'll do well. I'd probably lean towards Lukaku.Lukaku
I've got Benteke but if I could swap I would, reason being Lukaku has good stats and can see it being a high scoring open game, Benteke could be rested and I expect another workmanlike strong chasing the ball down organised team performance from Burnley to go down with their head held high knowing at least they tried 100 % effort as they have all season long.
Easily Benteke for me. I don't see why he would be rested.
I can't see Benteke rested after a 1-6 defeat.
What I can see is Villa concentrating on defensive shape after an abysmal performance last weekend.
As a result I preferred Lukaku (could have had either). Spurs' defence is probably less resilient than Burnley's right now. And Burnley are likely to be trying harder.
Incidentally, I don't think Benteke has ever been a no-brainer. Bringing him in for DGW 31 was a very astute move by those that did it but relied quite heavily on the assumption that Sherwood would have a similar effect on Benteke to what he did with Adebayor last season.Interesting
How about Kane ?
Would u hang onto him or swap to Lei strikerI'd probably remove him if I had nothing better to do, but more likely for Gomis or Austin than Vardy.
If not both .. I'd have tekkers
LVG has just given one of the most bizarre drunken speeches at the player of the year awards. I love this guy hahahaha
It was brilliant. Worth a watch to those who missed it. Links on Twitter.
Really was! What a character he is
Imagine what he'll be like when we win a trophy. 😀
Cannot wait 😀
Where abouts on twitter?
thanks
I love him, a great addition to the premier league that's been crying out for a character
Crying out for a character?
Pearson
It seems your head is in sandHa ha 😀
If chasing 29 points. Decent idea?
Giroud, Sanchez and Ramsey --> Lukaku, Yaya and Mata (-4)Can't see point hits helping your cause tbh and would rather have Ramsey to Mata.
Agree with above
Thanks. Will probably do just two of them yes.
I agree, you can't be giving him a 4 point head start when trying to make up that gap. Bring in Yaya and captain him, then do one of the other two.
Too risky to bring in Benteke?
And who for? Kane or Girood??
ThanksToo risky
Am I really considering playing Krul over Myhill this week? Have I not learnt the hard way?
I'd play Myhill myself
Play myhill
I have no other option than krul so could do with the pts when it backfires for you 😉
Wonder where this guy will go: http://i.imgur.com/WDjEwpe.webm
I think he'll stay. But if he does then Liverpool
He'd be straight in my team if he went there,
Me too. Fantasy gold is Walcott. Unless he's coming back from injury I've recently found out 🙂
He Will stay
i just hope he plays, doesn'y matter the place, but he can go to Liverpool,.
There is no way he will go to Liverpool. He will want to play CL. City is likely destination if he is to leave. But I reckon he will stay with us.
Wish I had the funds to do Kane to Lukaku. Would require a hit. Hmmm.
Not worth a hit imo.
Not tempted by Gomis?I think Gomis's chances of scoring are similar to Kane's tbh
Can't say the same for Wilsons..
He can surely do better
That must be his mum
What? She's cute. Blackett's however... http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/05/19/19/28DE57FC00000578-0-image-a-45_1432061391106.jpg
Maybe if she lost a stone. Blackett's missus gives the impression of a unibrow without having one
Chuckle
😆
Same 🙂
Face is always the most important. A little weight isn't a big deal.GB gives away his preference on women
Meaty and curvy.I guess I have a mature angle on it now 😆 When I was younger it was all about the figure and boobs! That's all secondary to face and personality now after some experiences.
Meh, Rojo's is cuter.
Surprised that not many of them were pure eye candy. Maybe a few decent blokes in there after all 😉
I bet all the players had one eye on Giggsy with his track record.......
I can get Lukaku in for Kane if I downgrade Skrtel or Caz/Ramsey....
hmmm
incoming let down?Probably if it involves a hit.
Rambo could be rested vs WBrom if he starts tomorrow
FPL is almost over
What the feck are we supposed to do now ?Fantasy Euro U-21 🙂
I'm too old for that.
This
There's nothing in the summer either 🙁
I will probably go back to my day job then.
I make holes in polo's😆
Argue about player prices for 1.5 months
Speculate what our GW1 squads will be based on no fixtures and prices.
Lol
When do the fixtures usually come out ?
What is Kane price gonna be?
17th June 2015 @ 09:00 UK Time
Massively undervaluing them too 😆 I can get this team if Messi moves to Chelsea and is priced at 10m ....
Kane, Giroud > lukaku, benteke -4??
Worth it?Possibly. Very risky, but I like it.
Yes imo
Giroud and Tekkers have about the same risk of not playing, so no
SR
Captain
A. Tekkers
Or
B. Lukaku
??B is more adventurous
Gerrard Ramsey Giroud > Bolasie Hazard Costa -8
Will it pay off ?Nein
nope
Goalkeepers like Lindegaard, Vorm wasting their careers IMO. Obviously money talks for most of them which is shame
What about Steve Harper? Second choice at Newcastle all his life.
Indeed, he fecked it up too.
My predicted Arsenal line up
Oospina
Bellerin Gabriel Mert Monreal
Coq Rambo
Theo Jack Sanchez
Gru
Santi, Ozil will be benched/rested IMO. And vs WBrom I can see Gru, Rambo restsOzil doesn't do rests.
You can call that drop
We're not creating enough chances lately. Not many goals scored either. Someone has to be dropped tomorrow IMO. Ozil is my candidate.
And yes you are non biased Ozil owner.
And Of course I don't own OzilOf course we are just speculating based on our fpl teams and it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Ozil was rested but I just don't see it. Not sure why you would drop your most creative player if you're lacking in creativity. Seems the optimal player to have in a home game against a Sunderland side that will sit deep.
Well that's exactly my point, he isn't creating shite lately! Hence AW may drop him for this game to see what the feck is going on with us.
??
Ozil has created more chances than any midfielder in the PL in the last 4 and more than double any other Arsenal midfielder. He also had most chances created against United when Giroud scuffed the 2 shots he had.Have you been watching Arsenal games? I'm not talking about stats here.
Go to Arsenal forums and you will see most of our fans want/expect Mou to drop. His link up play last 3-4 games is pretty bad which is also making Gru look extra donkeyMou!!!
Jaysus! If only Ozil had a capable and fast striker ahead of him.
Couldn't agree more
That piss take bid at 40m and a pound...
We shat on our door step there, what an opportunity missed.don't think he was going anywhere but Barca so don't feel too bad
Incorrect, at that time Barca wasn't in picture at all. Suarez wanted to come to arsenal and put in transfer request, had we put the bid at 55m, he would have come to us.
I recall him always speaking very generally about just moving to a club with Champions League and he asked Liverpool to honor his request to leave, I don't recall it ever being specifically him pushing for an Arsenal move though.
I could be wrong! It was a year ago 🙂Arsenal was playing for CL, he didn't specify us but was happy with the move. When he stayed, 6 or 7 months down the line Barca openly made a bid and of course he jumped on it, rightly so,
ah fair enough..would have been quite a buy for you
ACTUALLY
Albrighton has created one more chance 😛Not according to my tables he hasn't. Regardless, it'd be pretty insignificant if he had. 🙂
I just made a table! he has 15 and Ozil has 14 😯
maybe I did something wrong, I don't use the tables often lol
Koscielny will play imo.
If he is doubtful, wenger won't risk him,
It's just the flu, not an injury
Well that's a doubt Innit.
I own Koscielny and Santi. Great...
This is purely one's opinion but little bit based on Arsenal forums too.
i have Sanchez - Ramsey - Silva - Coutinho and 3.2 itb
i want to replace coutinho with fourth midfielder who will get high points next week
who is this midfielder ???
Bolasie - Siggy - or another onethose two or Mata/Puncheon. Think this is the question everyone is trying to figure out. I'm going Bolasie or Puncheon.
Good read on Rodgers/Liverpool/FSG from Barret for those interested.. seems to me he's gone if they have a replacement ready
http://www.lfc.pl/files/pdf/2015_05_20_times.pdfLooks like he has to bite someone to force FSG's hand.
Interestingly I've seen it suggested that what Ben Smith said may be among the first real information leaked by people at the club but higher up (not by Rodgers, his cronies or journo pals) which will turn public opinion against him so that when FSG act there'll be no backlash as Rodgers faults will be aired and he'll no longer have 'golden-boy' status in the English media.
Alderweireld, Cazorla, Kane > Janmaat, Puncheon, Benteke (-4)?
Re: Krul vs Myhill, Newcastle don't do cleanies anymore but West Ham have scored 1 goal in their last 5 away games in which they played Leicester, Qpr and Villa.
Myhill on the other hand has 4 cleanies in 5.Myhill, no contest
I have mig and contemplating starting Myhill
Feels bullied getting 100K a week
Gets defended after using laughing gas
Given a vacation mid-season
Given the opportunity to play amongst the first team when young
Had children before he was an adult
Does interviews without the club's permission
Has attitude (watch Being Liverpool years ago with Rodgers)
Good player but he's hard to like if he stays at Liverpool.
40M-50M could bring in a top class striker. He is on 35K per week.
I agree everything you say though, sell him to City for say 35m and hopefully this time wise transfers to use to funds wisely, because last year that 75m was spent badly, ended up in disaster.Last season's fund were pivotal but were wasted. Similar to the Torres fund. Rather than spending for spending's sake we should of kept the money until the right targets were identified. Sterling at City would benefit all parties. He might turn into another Sinclair though.
I think he would too which is probably justice and lesson for a 20 years old spoilt brat.
What Liverpool need is couple of solid players like, Theo, Dzeko. Sadly, can't see them joining a team who hasn't qualified for CL, with all due respect .I don't rate Theo very highly, I like him but would be disappointed if we signed him due to cost + wages, he's a great squad player, but lacks that tactical side to his game, he isn't the cleverest player for all his ability.
Walcott has goals in him though. We really lack that in our midfield.
True, it's why I like him and think hes a great squad player, its just to purchase him wouldn't be good value for money.
Theo would bring you goals and assists which Liverpool desperately looking for, crazy talk
It's hard attracting talents with:
-No UCL
-Rodgers manager
-Low wage bill
-Moneyball approach signing "youth" over "ready-made"
I'm sure players like Lazazette could come if Liverpool made him feel very important.Wage bill is actually very high, it needs to be trimmed, though perhaps it can only really support a few stars (not Galactico wages for everyone). Not much chance of Lacazette now though. 🙁
Never watched Lacazette but I have watched the Belgian geezer, can't remember his name.
His not a goal scorer, ie don't expect 15 goals, but type of player would be good with Studge if he keeps fitUnfortunately I can't see Sturridge staying fit enough to ut a 'foil' type of player in place 🙁 What we need is experience to complement Sturridge along with Origi and perhaps Sinclair (who should get his chance, though don't expect it with Rodgers if hes still there) Sturridge may be unfit a bit and youngsters are inconsistent so that would be an important target in that scenario.
TBF he didn't ask for the vacation. :/
In fact that made the things worse.
The vacation was given to him after he was run into the ground by Rodgers. You can't play a 20 year old that often without it having a detrimental effect on his playing. Plus it's not like Liverpool were doing Sterling a favour by giving him a chance, he was good enough to be given one. He was also poached off QPR by Liverpool so he's hardly a youth product with any loyalty to the club.
The whole situation with Sterling is a bit of a joke, but it's roots are basically in the fact that Liverpool's squad isn't quite good enough to challenge for Top 4 and regular Champions League football. If it was and Sterling was confident he'd win stuff soon he would have signed the contract. Don't think there's much point hating on Sterling - it's the club with the problem at the moment. When you miss 2 open chances against Newcastle, you're in no position to talk about wanting to win trophies. And he was absolute trash at wembley in the semi. He can go
Haha I know what you mean, but all players miss sitters. He's 20 years old and has got so much time to improve. I hesitate to use the example but look what happened to Ronaldo. Things can change and when someone has so much obvious potential ( not to mention interest from other clubs) he's got every right to want to reach the highest level he can.
Interesting approach the case.
But as Carragher said, he should shut it and put in a low profile, then feck off slowly during summer, Season is not ended yet and he does this and Club is already having issues.I believe that to be the case, it was the Brodge that mentioned the money, I think like a lot of the players he isn't happy where the club is going under Rodgers, I think the trophy part (taken literally) is a bit early though, I think he jsut wants the intent for the club to do well, not unfair considering the squad should have easily gotten top four at a canter, every other team up there bar Chelsea did their utmost to throw their seasons into the toilet, its really Rodgers which is the problem.
1. He's on £35k. The guy was born in Jamaica, raised in London and has got mixed up in the semi-religious cult called Liverpool FC where he is required to be eternally grateful to play for the "wonderful, wonderful club" with its "wonderful, wonderful fans". If he isn't eternally grateful he gets turned on in the same way that any cult member wanting out is treated. Bullying is a correct word for that. Is it any surprise he wants to escape?
2. Suarez got defended after biting opponents and using racial abuse to Patrick Evra - remember the T-shirts? Cult members always get defended whilst they are "in".
3. He was given an opportunity to play 1st team football when young because (a) he's good enough, and (b) FSG's business model requires young players to be developed and sold on at a profit. It was not done out of generosity to Sterling.
4. How many children he has and when he had them is no concern of yours and has no place in this discussion. Raising it is an example of the bullying that comes from the cult when someone turns apostate.
5. Whether you like it or not, a human being has a right to his own words and thoughts rather than having interviews pre-scripted by others and being forced to repeat the party line. Look at the interviews given by players when they sign for Liverpool. They all say the same things, more or less, and that's no accident.Calling the club a cult is insulting to it and the fans mate, please don't go there. Though I'll agree the club handled the racial abuse incident poorly.
But in many ways it behaves like one. 😕
http://www.chelseasupportersgroup.net/2011/02/the-liverpool-myth/
Bullying is plastic Chelsea fans making fun of Gerrard's slip not booing a player who rejects them. That's called being bitter.
haha I'm not sure there's a set of fans in the country (apart from Liverpool's) that haven't made fun of Gerrard's slip. I really don't think the Chelsea fans give two sh*ts about whether or not Gerrard joined them. Yes it would have been great for them but they've done pretty well since then. The booing was obviously playful because everyone knows it was a transfer that almost happened not because they're so sad about being rejected by him.
What do Chelsea fans have to be bitter about?
Mostly we just find the Liverpool mythology a cross between the laughable and the ludicrous. 🙂Unnecessary statement with no class.
Also you don't call your rivals cult, have a bit of respect."No class". I wondered when that standard defence would come out.
Was what your chairman said after Heysel classy? Was the way you handled Suarez/Evra classy? Is the way Sterling is being treated classy?
Class is a standing ovation at Stamford Bridge 2 weeks ago for a player we really don't like but know deserves respect. Class is a standing ovation for Frank Lampard when he turned up to play for City having said he'd never play against us. Chelsea fans don't need lessons on class, thanks.Except for maybe the ones who were on the Paris Metro.... 🙁
No group of people is utterly without any bad eggs or occasional bad behavior and to try to reduce them to a monolithic pure entity is pointless.
Yep. That was an embarrassment. And was instantly condemned by the club. You won't find many Chelsea supporters condoning it.
I know what you're saying, but actually you shouldn't find "any" Chelsea supporters condoning it.
I'm being honest. The truth is you won't find many.
We aren't generalising things by tlooming at overall picture.
It's you and your comment/post above. Let's talk about that rather than your reverse physcology methods shall we?
I'm not Liverpool fan and but never made such comment on any rival.
Your lack class
It's not about what your fans did at the bridge etc.
Your welcome. You're talking about individuals who made mistakes in how they handled situations, you're tarring us all with the same brush, as for Heysel, it was a tragedy instigated by scumbags who deserve no connection with the club because that isn't what they stand for nor accept. I also don't accept it either, but then saying that must mean I'm a cultist. :/
I don't agree anything you said and no need to take a piss
Epic speech by Van Gaal at the awards:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmUxli3XpMgQuality
One of my favorite managers. Love his post-match interviews too.
FC BAYERN!! 😀
Brilliant 🙂
After reading Tony Barret's article tonight, it's quite clear that BR isn't as safe as the media perceive him to be. I personally think he'll be sacked with the main reason being he's lost the dressing room. This is without taking into his transfer failures and the lack of identity in our style of play.
Anyway, giving it some thought I think FSG should prioritise getting a D.O.F in and reviewing the wage structure & contract renewal method.
With a DOF these would be my top manager targets: 1) Klopp, 2) Rafa, 3) FDB, 4) Unai EmeryAnd for Sterling: it's simple. Sell to the highest bidder. He only came to LFC because we offered more than anyone else anyway. Wash our hands, don't need players like that.
I personally think the media backing him was down to comments he made, his cronies made, or stuff he said to his journo pals, I mean the owners never made any such comment he was safe, and its not like the review of the club instigated by FSG had A) even finished or B) Made it clear Rodgers was safe.
I think he's gone. You simply don't come back from wasting £50m, losing the dressing room and losing arguably the club's greatest player.
He lost me at Wembley, Liverpool Football Club should never lose to Villa in a semi at wembley in the manner we didNot to mention how bad he is with the media too, don't leave that out. 😉
Cue Villa beat us in final
Wenger is class though. One of my favourites
Specialist in failure apparently 🙂
To be fair, Arsenal fans divided on him. I, for example want him to go. We need fresh blood and our man is Klopp, perfect match .I don't much like Arsenal, the 2-3 at Stamford Bridge (Kanu hattrick) was probably the sickest I have ever felt leaving a football game. But I am caught with mixed feelings because of Wenger.
Like many I have watched the Ty/Claude videos on youtube. I used to enjoy Arsenal's inadequacy. But nowadays I secretly feel for Gooners fans who must feel like they have been stuck in some kind of groundhog day.
For years, Wenger mocked the pragmatic approach of managers like Mourinho in "big" games, even though the secret of it is to respect the opposition rather than arrogantly think you can blow them away and if you don't it means they haven't played "proper football". But this season he has changed at last. The 2-0 at City was a type of performance I haven't seen from Arsenal for 10 years.
If Wenger actually signs the 2-3 players you need this summer you will be a real threat next season. But will he?You may think you're too good Ruth.
But whenever you cover shite with a snow, it will melt one way or other.
Your trulyAre you Eric Cantona in disguise?
once again you're just too good and you've shown that .
"Respect"
🙂
Villa have improved vastly with Benteke but Arsenal have so much quality.
I'm not a Liverpool fan but I expect him to be sacked too. He was lucky to have Suarez in the team, that's all.
it doesn't look like players trust him anymore, Rafa would be a perfect match once again.Rafa has unfinished business with us. Would be beautiful to get him back
Rafa has also solid connections to attract good players in Spain, Italy. I think it is likely this will happen.
Suarez was Rodger's crutch.
I want Rafa because his family lives in Liverpool and I think he wants to relive some good times and some fierce rivalries again. Knowing Spanish is a plus too considering our spanish speaking contingent.
I can see it already. Give Rafa the £30m transfer kitty + Sterling sale money, we'd do some serious stuff
Klopp
Lacazette/tekkers+pjanic+kovacic+milner
That's my dream 😀Please not Bentekkers, God no, we'd don't quite play to suit him, not a great player in a passing system despite his good footwork/touch and just as injury prone as Sturridge. Not to mention cost.
Defensive mid, striker, RCB, keeper
Never forget those 4 Lukaku goals against Man U. Spurs defense is trash too. Oh and he played for WBA then.
Going for Lukaku (C) on the final day then?
Possibly. Just somewhat scared of hits because I should be within 12
9 years, 1 month ago
I see the Young bandwagon is in full swing-feels like preseason again!
