Thoughts? do I play the 3 in defense I have chosen? Targett has Watford?

    Butland
    Kolarov - Gomez - Darmian
    Pedro - Silva - Sanchez - Mahrez
    Aguero - Gomis - Diouf

    Subs: - McCarthy // Richards // Targett // Westwood //

    B) Richards (SUN)
    C) Targett (NOR)
    D) Francis (LEI)

Gave in and used my WC.

    Romero (McCarthy)
    Kolorov | Azpi | Smalling | Cedric | (Gomez)
Silva | Mahrez | Shaqiri | Pedro (Redmond)
    Aguero | Diouf | Wilson

1st of all, little wary of doubling up on united defence. And 2nd of all do I need more liverpool coverage? What would you do? Any advice would be gold. Thank you

Don't double up. Romero+McC is especially risky with both not nailed on long term.

Looks good otherwise although defense maybe a bit heavy

Not overly keen for the following reasons:

      1) both keeps could be at risk depending on if DDG move goes through. if not, then its fine and a good pairing
      2) Defence is a little heavy, as others have mentioned not sure the double up on UTD is worth it. I would be downgrading one of Smalling or Azpil for a 4.5
      3) Midifeld doesn't have either Sanchez or Hazard who I think people will be scrabbling for over the few weeks. Both of them is hard but think you should find a way for at least one (ideally Sanchez as pedro is good chelsea cover)
      4) Bit of a benching headache with Redmond + Wilson / Diouf. I prefer to have a cheapie 5th midfielder which would help with number 4 too.

      Hope that helps!

Cheers mate, fantastic rank considering how things have gone! It's an eternal problem, I have had mammoth 95 point weeks and been disappointed because I got the captaincy wrong; it's ridiculous logically but it's always a case of "what could have been".

Kane holders, what are you doing?

I was going to ship him out for Benteke but I'm thinking of holding for the home game as I have Sakho and thinking I'll ship him out for Wilson with my 1FT and then see who does well this week (if Pedro does well, I can easily downgrade to Diouf or Gomis. Same holds true for any premium striker).

True but with only 1FT, there's no point taking a -4 to get him out. If sakho is injured, I rather have 3 starting forwards that relying on a 3-5-2 or 4-4-2.

First year as a member and loving these 'big numbers' articles in particular. Some of the observations however beg the question 'why are some players consistently hitting bigger numbers than last year'?

For example, take Naughton - vastly improved on last year. The reason is the addition of Ayew who notionally plays on the right but actually plays in the centre, allowing Naughton lots of space to attack down the right.

Swansea seemingly play with two main wide men (montero and Naughton) and get two men into the box (gomis and Ayew). In effect we have two great OOP options at Swansea this year

    1. Woy
      • 10 Years

Note to self: keep an eye on naughton

Good point. It's also worth considering stuff like this when players get injured. ie an ayew injury and dyer taking his place say, would greatly reduce the attacking threat of naughton

Also saw this with Alexis last year. People still falling over themselves to get him in but his price tag is a joke when arsenal have all players fit as points get shared around

    My team atm:

    Fabianski, Butland
    Williams, Kolarov, Darmian, Gomez, Richards
    Silva, Sanchez, Mahrez, Payet, Anya
    Gomis, Diouf, Aguero

    0.1 ITB, 1 FT

I'm thinking about saving my FT but I'd love to get Coutinho in for Payet. This would mean a hit and a downgrade somewhere. Any ideas/opinions?

Depends on how that impacts your value options. I usually reserve 4-5 slots for heavy hitters, and the others for looking for best value. Atm, my value options allow me to afford Hazard over Pedro - he probably isn't worth 2m more, but he'll get more points I reckon

Either of these worth a hit?
    A. Angella > Gomez
    B. Mertesacker > Sagna

      Rule #46c States:
      "No hits for defenders"
      Rule #46d States:
"Only exception to rule is Kolarov"

Sakho -> Diouf for a hit? Already have Payet so even if Sakho plays a West Ham double up at Anfield doesn't inspire me with confidence

Yep. Proven player and almost as good fixtures. Stoke seem pretty attacking too

Tricky one. I fancy West Ham to score v Liverpool, but I also prefer Diouf for the medium term

Cheers. If I get Diouf it has to be this week, he has ars next week. If WHam score hopefully Payet will be involved

Yeah, then I'd get Diouf. Got a similar situation involving Yaya

Got rid of him yesterday, was planning on saving 2FT till int break but too much going on there with Sakho to ignore!

Rooney double this weekend is just inevitable. Anyone still got him?

Probably the same people that have Walcott

I still have him, so inevitably his double will be tonight when it doesn't count!

It is so far from inevitable, it's almost impossible.

Fellani has more chance of a brace.

If Fellaini plays tonight 'in thé hole', I may get him in. Still fancy Depay to explode soon but their fixtures are 'orrible.

I usually feel this way when I sell someone, but didn't have the slightest doubt when I shipped Rooney last week. Can't see him getting any joy v Williams

No, then he would have to shoot on goal at least twice which he doesnt

    Hi guys ..
Is depay and sakho to Pedro and Wilson a bit kneejerky or a sound enough move.?

Definitely knee jerky could work out though

I did it for my -4.Sakho out is a necessity and I don't know why I got Depay in the first place - I feel much safer with my Chelsea coverage now
