West Bromwich Albion and Everton look to send off Gameweek 7 in style as they do battle at The Hawthorns this evening. Recent form would suggest that this match-up will be a tightly contested affair, considering that the two sides have conceded just one goal between them in the last trio of Gameweeks.
The Tony Pulis effect is in full motion for the Baggies, as evidenced by their four clean sheets in five league outings. However, the West Midlanders haven’t fared as well at the other end of the pitch, ranking second-bottom for goals scored (four). Only one side (Newcastle, with 19) has carded fewer shots on target than West Brom’s 20, which will be music to the ears of Fantasy managers holding Everton defenders.
Although the Toffees have earned just one victory in their previous four matches, Roberto Martinez’s men endured the toughest start of any league outfit. The Merseysiders have excelled outside of Goodison Park and – like West Brom – are yet to concede a single goal on their travels. That being said, the hosts will be optimistic of breaching Everton’s defence, given that the visitors have afforded their opponents 49 attempts (31 in the box ) in three road trips already.
