With the second international break of the season upon us, we’re afforded time to assess the leading contenders in the Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League and Sky Sports, there’s plenty to catch up on.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE
Courtesy of a 129-point haul, Samuel Slennett surged to the summit of the Scout League. Aside from the Sergio Aguero (captain) and Alexis Sanchez combo, Samuel – who’s now ranked 14th in the overall rankings – profited from Yohan Cabaye, David Silva, Dimitri Payet and Graziano Pelle. Clean sheets from Jack Butland and Pape Souare rounded off his impressive total. To join our FPL league, which has risen to the summit of the Best Leagues, use the code 600-520.
Jason Smith slipped to second place despite bagging an impressive 90 points. He, too, had Aguero and Sanchez among his ranks but opted to hand the captain’s armband to Payet instead. Andre Ayew and Odion Ighalo delivered the goods, but his back four served up just seven points between them.
Patryk Ostrowski moved up the bronze-medal position after accuring 103 points. Aguero (captain), Sanchez, Payet and Pelle produced the bulk of his attacking returns, while Stoke defender Geoff Cameron afforded Patryk his solitary clean sheet.
Sitting just four points shy of the top three, Jamie Geraghty tallied 102 points in Gameweek 8. Glenn Murray put him through the wringer by following up his first goal of the campaign with a penalty miss, while Eden Hazard claimed a handy assist. Aguero (captain), Sanchez, Ighalo and Payet were Jamie’s star men.
Fifth-placed Mark Elias also captained Aguero but plumped for Kevin De Bruyne ahead of Sanchez. Jamie Vardy and Hector Bellerin combined for 16 points to give Mark’s squad a different flavour to those managers above him.

FPL Members Scout League
Niclas Andersson ranks top of the Member’s League and 114th overall after chalking up 118 points. Although his three defenders and keeper tallied just seven points between, all of Niclas’ front seven scored seven points or more, with Mane, Ighalo and Vardy among them.
Jon Mjelde fronts the chasing pack. He decided against captaining Aguero – choosing Sanchez instead – but still carded 112 points. Vardy and Ighalo underlined the merits of recruiting budget forwards, while Mane flexed his differential muscles.
Third-placed Andrew Dougan bagged 117 points, with Bellerin and Butland serving up some welcome shut-out points at the back. Andrew used his bench boost chip to little effect, given that Alex McCarthy and Riyad Mahrez were no-shows, while Nathan Redmond and Wes Morgan recorded three points between them.
Edd Stobbart boasted a Gameweek rank of 1603 by way of his 130 points. His Sanchez-less team delivered big points in midfield with Payet, Ayew, De Bruyne and Mesut Ozil. Edd’s three-man strike force – consisting of Aguero (captain), Ighalo and Pelle – registered 73 points as a unit.
Euan Thompson climbed into the top five, with a host of familiar faces harvesting his 118 points. Jonjo Shelvey and Wayne Hennessey injected Euan’s squad with some nice variation to the template.
Ultimate Fantasy Premier League
Ryan Evans sits at the summit of our Ultimate Fantasy Premier League ladder and, with 671 points overall, he’s also the top ranked manager in the game with a seven point lead over his nearest rival.
Catherine Wright sits second in our league, some 24 points behind Ryan earning her a sixth place ranking in the world. Panna Fricker just two points behind her in third in our on 645, eighth overall.
There’s then a gap of ten points to Dominic Nelson in fourth and 15th in the world after a huge 145 point return in Gameweek 8. Joe Stout completes our top five on 629 and an overall rank of 25th in the world.

Sun Dream Team
Charles Mouzon enjoys a two-point lead at the peak of the Sun Scout League, having racked up 81 points last Gameweek. Manchester United duo Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial flattered to deceive, but Aguero, Sanchez, De Bruyne and Payet all came up trumps.
With a mighty 99 points this time around, David O Byrne is applying pressure to the leader. Aguero, Sanchez and Pelle formed the perfect trio of forwards, while Sadio Mane, Silva and Hazard completed his high-powered offense.
Not content with just leading the pack, Charles Mouzon’s Manchester United focused team sits in third position. In a roster comprised of five Red Devils recruits, Branislav Ivanovic and Christian Benteke, the likes of Aguero, Sanchez and Mane rescued his 54-point haul.
Tim Mongiat is three points adrift of the podium after a strong showing last time out. Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Depay and Rooney all failed to hit the mark, yet Aguero and Sanchez and Mane helped him on the way to 73 points.
Capping off the top five, Nigel Dodds slid down the rankings due to a 46-point weekend. Nigel’s five Red Devils’ recruits restricted his scoring potential, but Aguero, Pelle and Mane ensured that not all was lost.
