Kane delivers 13 points for a third successive away match to reward the 17.4% of managers who gave him the armband. Now it’s over to Romelu Lukaku to step up.
It was reported this morning that the Belgian was a doubt heading into today’s clash with Crystal Palace but, presumably, he has shaken off a knock sustained in training to start.
Expectations will be high and he is backed by over two million managers with the armband – his biggest total of the season so far.
Lukaku has scored in each one of his outings for Man United, aside from the Gameweek 3 win over Leicester City, though he missed a spot-kick in that outing. He collides with a Palace defence that have conceded more goals (13) and more shots on target (37) than any other team.
Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia also start, despite concerns on their fitness heading into today’s contest. They will go in search of a sixth clean sheet of the season, though Eric Bailly is benched and looks set to miss out on that possibility.
Old Trafford is undoubtedly the main focus this afternoon, with little Fantasy interest elsewhere.
Jamie Vardy is the top owned attacker on show in the other four matches; he’s backed by 11.6% of managers ahead of his trip to Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Hegazi’s 27.4% owners will be relieved to see the Egyptian retain his start in a West Brom back four at home to Watford.
