Gameweek 10 continues with a batch of five afternoon kick-offs and some major Fantasy talent on show.
There’s no question that Manchester City’s output at West Brom is of most interest. Following the rotation witnessed in Gameweek 9, Pep Guardiola’s teamsheet was keenly anticipated.
Once again, it provides a sting for Fantasy Premier League managers, notably the 735,000 who moved for Sergio Aguero ahead of Gameweek 10. Some 305,000 of those switched from Harry Kane.
The Argentine is benched wearing 776,000 armbands having played 120 minutes in the EFL Cup in midweek. He is joined on the timber by Raheem Sterling who sits out his second successive Gameweek, allowing Gabriel Jesus – the second most sold player this week – to lead the City attack.
Elsewhere, the 115,000 who deployed their Free Hit, along with the 117,000 who activated Wildcards, will doubtless be focused on the Emirates Stadium.
Alexis Sanchez is backed by 72,000 new owners for Gameweek 10 but remains in just 3.4% of squads ahead of a meeting with Swansea City. Nonetheless, 37% of his managers hand him the captaincy today as a potential major differential.
Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette benefits from the Kane fall-out to claim 197,000 new owners, with 106,000 heading from the Spurs striker. The Frenchman has scored in three of four (four goals) home matches so far and is backed by 267,000 (5.1%) with the Gameweek 10 captaincy.
Watford’s Richarlison was another popular signing ahead of today’s deadline, collecting 336,000 owners. He starts for the visit of Stoke City with just 3.2% of his managers backing him with the captaincy.
