Saturday continues with a modest quartet of three o’clock kick-offs and, again, the array of Fantasy talent on show is somewhat limited.
Few of today’s afternoon kick-offs scream attacking football and goals, which will leave many managers waiting expectantly on clean sheet returns.
Newcastle United’s Rob Elliot – part of 26.7% of squads – is the most popular asset on show, with his managers hoping for a fourth clean sheet of the campaign when Bournemouth drop by Tyneside. However, some 57% of Elliot’s 1.4 million owners keep him benched today.
Ahmed Hegazi’s ownership continues to decline at pace, though he is still part of 21.5% of squads ahead of a visit to Huddersfield Town. The John Smith’s Stadium fixture is another that promises to be a tight affair: only Swansea City have mustered fewer shots than those two sides so far this season.
The Swans are also in action. They host Brighton in an encounter that sees two cut-price third striker options share the pitch, as Glenn Murray goes head-to-head with Tammy Abraham. The Chelsea loanee is one of the most signed prior to today’s deadline – some 222,000+ have snapped him up for the meeting with the Seagulls.
Southampton host Burnley in the final of the four afternoon matches. Again, Fantasy managers will be hoping for few goals here, with defenders the most popular assets on show.
Saints keeper Frazer Forster and left-back Ryan Bertrand are found in 9.7% of squads, with the Clarets’ Stephen Ward now owned by 15.9% of managers.

Very hard to resist hitting WC last couple wks. It may be the time. Mostly to sort out dodgy defence and bench more than anything. Maybe Abraham needs to go too.
