We end a marathon day of football at Wembley Stadium which provides a fitting finale as Tottenham Hotspur host champions elect Manchester City.

But it’s not Pep Guardiola’s City that hold the interest for Fantasy managers, as Harry Kane goes into tonight’s contest as the most signed player ahead for Gameweek 34 (255,000+) and wearing just over a million armbands.

Kane’s recent output has been hampered by injury, though having been awarded a controversial goal at Stoke City in Gameweek 33, he still boasts attacking returns in five of his previous starts.

Christian Eriksen has also proved a big draw ahead of this encounter, claiming 158,000 new owners before today’s deadline to edge ahead in the popularity pecking order in the Spurs midfield.

Son Heung-min may just have slipped down that ladder – he is benched today as Erik Lamela gets the nod. The South Korean will therefore likely start the away fixture with Brighton on Tuesday, though only three of his 12 goals this season have come on the road.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Shaqiri got given the assist because the pass was intended to Diouf, but Lloris touched it first and cleared it into Diouf.

      The inconsistency shows when they completely ignore that the ball bounced between Lloris and Diouf multiple times. It's unfair that Kane loses his assist because the block from Laporte is more clear than Lloris' multiple touches.

      They should really change how the guideline works for these sort of goals. A goal where the attacker scores on his own rebound (Max 1 block/save by the opponent) should give an assist if the original pass was not touched by any defenders. A very simple guideline that would add a couple of assists to the game that are actually deserved.

          No, the difference was that Diouf didn't have an initial shot. Lloris kicked the ball onto Diouf who then gathered the rebound and scored.

          Eriksen clearly had a first attempt before the second touch scored the goal.

        Dazz see below. I don't recall any instance where a player has had an an initials shot blocked and then scored with a second touch when an assist has been awarded. Is there an example you can think of?
