Navigating Gameweek 35’s limited fixture list has dominated the community’s thoughts over the last seven days, particularly those with a Free Hit chip in play.
Our Hot Topic posters assess Liverpool and Manchester City’s perceived favourable fixtures this weekend, and rotation fears are also considered as the season draws to a close.
Our Members table round-up features further information on the newly crowned champions, while our community scribes have been busy canvassing the masses for their views on how this round of matches will pan out.
We end with our round-up with at look at those managers who emerged from Double Gameweek 34 at the top of the community leagues.
The Community Articles
Those with a Free Hit chip will be particularly buoyed by Hutch_James’ latest canvassing of the crowd. They are anticipating some big tallies for those managers in a position to stock up on players from Jurgen Klopp’s and Pep Guardiola’s troops.
The Hottest Topics
As our Gameweek 35 “Rate my Team” surgery revealed, there are plenty in the community who are eyeing up three Man City targets with their Free Hit strategy. With a home encounter with a Swansea City side beaten 4-0 in the reverse fixture, the Premier League champions look ideally placed as a source of talent for this one-week Wildcard.
This is a view backed up by Doosra’s latest number crunching, as delivered by GWhizz.
Gabriel Jesus now stands out as a key target after it was revealed that his team-mate and striker rival Sergio Aguero would likely miss the rest of the season following minor surgery.
Ludo dropped by with the full skinny on the Brazilian’s prospects, while the compelling points potential of Man City assets for the run-in are also featured in our Hot Topic on the key lessons learned from Gameweek 34.
But as Bubz’s discussion points out, the spectre of rotation could yet loom large over Pep Guardiola’s charges now that the title is in the bag. Guardiola assured us in Friday’s press conference that he will look to continue fielding strong line-ups, but only Sunday’s teamsheet will calm any anxiety.
To accommodate the likes of Jesus, many are looking to dismantle their carefully-crafted Double Gameweek 34 template squad, with many of the recent Wildcard signings failing to impress. We asked who is likely to receive their P45 and who has earned the right to be a mainstay until the season ends.
Marcos Alonso is among those suffering heavy sales after the Chelsea left wing-back received a retrospective three-match ban. Andy85wsm sparked this discussion on whether time is up for the Spaniard, even though he will be available for the Blues’ two Gameweek 37 fixtures.
But few will be releasing Mohamed Salah go. The Golden Boot race leader and Fantasy Premier League’s top points scorer looks in line to start at The Hawthorns later today and may even escape rotation for the rest of the season, despite Liverpool’s Champions League charge.
Given the Egyptian winger’s achievements so far, Halfspace wonders what price he will be next season. This discussion also considers whether Salah could even be reclassified as a forward after his 30-goal campaign so far.
Unsurprisingly, Salah is among those to make the PFA’s team of the season, which was published earlier this week. This prompted us to ask the community for their Fantasy team of the season so far.
At the start of the week, Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was a popular recruit into Gameweek 35 line-ups. But with Arsene Wenger revealing that he’s yet to decide on is role against West Ham, many are tearing up their best-laid plans, according to Bemba Da’s discussion on the forward’s possible absence on Sunday.
Wenger was once again grabbing headlines on Friday after Arsenal released a shock statement that their long-standing manager is to step down in the summer. We asked the community for their favourite Arsenal-related Fantasy football moments to mark this momentous news.
Finally, for those confused about the rules surrounding Free Hitting, Geoff was on hand with more information about this new chip for the 2017/18 season.

The Community Tournaments
In TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing, the safety score was 90, which saw 33 players depart and 43 remain.
Anders Lium and Shirin Nizar are the respective leaders of Red Lightning’s Top 10K Any Season and January to May leagues. However, it’s all change at the summit of his Doubles, Blanks and Chips league, where Zeroual Aymen has taken the lead from Dylan McCullough.
Elsewhere, Paul Gee still tops the FFSMembers league, as does Rizwan Chadhry in the FFSmain league. Rizwan is second in the overall rankings, just 12 points behind world number one Bharat Dhody.
In the FFScout moderators and contributors league Jack Wain’s lead has been reduced to just 10 points. I head the chasing pack, with my fellow Scoutcaster Az in hot pursuit.
It’s also business as usual in QPR Utd’s Frequent Summer Posters league, where Zoumas Bloomers retains number one spot.
If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round-Ups, please email us a summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spreadsheet or head-to-head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.
