Do I have my XI right? Thinking of just saving the FT

    Hennessey
    Mendy Alonso Bellerin AwB
    Salah Hazard Moura Walcott
    Jimenez Aguero(c)

    Fabianski Bennett h.Costa Mitrovic

    A)Play 5 defenders
    B)Play Mitro over Jimenez
C)Play Bennett over AwB, Palaca double up is risky
    D)Something else.

    Cheers.

I certainly wouldn't have Mitrovic third sub, and I'd probably play him ahead of AwB (especially as you have Hennessey), Jimenez, and maybe even Walcott.

Those who can't afford hazard without selling Mane/Salah & not on WC
Is Pedro a decent alternative? Can easily do Theo to Pedro. Already have Alonso

If its possible Keep Salah and Hazard, dump Mane.

It’s a good thing you said “I think” because Salah’s stats are out of this world and Hazard’s doesn’t even come close.

          Yeah, what a silly comment:

          Attempts:
          Salah 19
          Hazard 10

          In the box:
          Salah 12
          Hazard 4

          Big chances:
          Salah 5
          Hazard 1

Now Hazard has less playing time of course so I will throw this one in there as well

          Minutes per chance:
          Salah 17
          Hazard 22

Salah is superior in almost every stat compared to almost anyone. Even Pedro is showing more goal threat than Hazard so far and he has also had limited minutes.

Don't get me wrong, I think Hazard will have a good season, but so far the stats suggest Salah is on course for an even better one.

Pedro is an okay pick if you can't afford to lose a LIV mid for Hazard. But imo, Haz is on course for one of those season where he is essential to own.

Is vardy worth the extra 3.2 over ings on a WC?

For me i am sticking with aguero, amd mitrovic looks too hot to leave out, so it's all about that third spot.

    Vardy, for me, means:
    Robertson > Boly
    Madison > billing

Might seem like poor "transfers" in isolation, but i have mendy and alonso and would rotate boly with holebas and AWB. Only usually play 3 at the back. Billing would be bench fodder as i have 4 decent mids (mane, hazard, moura, richarlison)

    Can't decide

Moura can easily be swapped for Richarlison once he's back from his suspension, but at the moment I don't see Moura getting dropped.. The only way I could get Maddison in is by dropping Moura. And definitely go Grey over Fraser?

His ppm are always excellent, can't decide between him and Mkhi, Ramsey seems more nailed though.

Shaw will outscore Holebas comfortably and United have decent fixtures

Great team, but i'm afraid there will be rotation problems for MRT when CL starts.

Trippier and Ramsey are rotation risks, so not my cup of tea. Would also go with another keeper. 7/10

Trippier can be Vertongen. Ramsey or Mkhi is a tough one. Begovic has fantastic fixtures and will become Ryan eventually.

      Very good
But as Moura isnt nailed when Son is back I think you should think about getting Richa maybe(and bench him this gw). Also Deeney>Mitro looks better.
      Generally very very strong

On a wc: what is the best goalkeeper setup? Have Patricio and am thinking of another 4.5 as rotation (as I dont see Hamer being a long term starter).

    Ryan? Foster?

    Someone else?

    1. Lone Wolf FPL

Hamer and use that 0.5 elsewhere.
Foster if you really want to rotate.

I am actually looking to get Patricio in, Wolves seem pretty solid in defence. Can easily be a set and forget 4.5, Foster or McCarthy are the others I would consider (along with Hamer as bench fodder)

Think you'll want to play Patricio most games tbh - but if you're rotation-minded then have a look at the GWs where he has harder fixtures (such as GW6 vs Man Utd away), and look at a keeper with easier games in those weeks, such as Hennessey (NEW).

But FWIW, I think a 4.5 / 4.0 set and forget is fine. Harder games just mean save points.

Fabianski scored 5 away to Arsenal for eg.

I've got Begovic at the moment, if I was WCing/had the spare 0.5 I'd get Hart as well.

Will Son replace Moura following the IB?

Seen this question floating around a lot over the last few days, with a lot of people avoiding Moura in wildcards and transfers. I thought I would give my $0.02 on the matter.

In my opinion Son's return to the starting line up is very far from certain with Moura in such good form. Moura has really stepped up whilst Son has been at the Asian games, his performance at Man United was nothing short of fantastic. His pace and directness were something the defence just could not handle. Son doesn't have this direct turn of pace, and I can see this keeping him out of the side. Moura is a game changer, he can impact a game in a matter of seconds.

I think Pochettino probably feels that Moura has become the better option, and I suspect Son’s time on the sidelines at Tottenham could be an extended one limited to substitute or Champions League appearances. His work rate is fantastic, something that is particularly useful in the Champions League. You only have to think back to Park Ji-Sung's performances in the Champions League in seasons gone by. Another important point to note is that Pochettino did not hand Moura too many starts towards the end of last season as he wanted him to get up to speed with the Premier League. With a solid pre-season under his belt, I think he is now ready for a more consistent run of starts.

However, with Son on an £85,000 a week contract vs Moura's reported £75,000, I'm not so sure what the spurs hierarchy will think of this move. Admittedly I can't see them both starting with Pochettino nearly always resorting to two defensive holding midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 style formation. I also can't see Eriksen or Alli losing their starting positions. I think for at least the next month or so, Moura's starting spot should be secure in the Premier League at least. Although I expect his minutes to be reduced with Son coming off the bench.

Tl;dr: I think Moura will hold his starting position for the near future.

Resisting Alonso for -4 (or even -8) as my existing team have plumb fixtures, rolling the FT for next weeks bandwagon. 😆
