No start for Arnautovic or Vardy as Leicester host West Ham

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) has missed out on Gameweek 10 after Manuel Pellegrini revealed that he had been suffering with an illness.

Javier Hernandez (£6.2m) replaces him in the starting line-up as Grady Diangana (£4.5m) also earned his first start of the season.

Arnautovic is not the only mid-price striker causing problem for his owners. Following stories of an illness this week, Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) also misses out on the first XI, but he was named on the substitute’s bench by Claude Puel.

It is a strange occurence considering Vardy’s insistence on social media that he was “back to full strength”.

Fantasy interest in the match is likely to revolve around James Maddison (£7.0m) who is set to start the match.

“(Jamie Vardy) could not train earlier this week. I want a player who is at 100% to start. He will have a good opportunity to come in the second-half and show his energy.” – Claude Puel

LEICESTER XI: Schmeichel; Amartey, Söyüncü, Maguire, Chilwell; Ndidi, Iborra; Ghezzal, Maddison, Albrighton; Iheanacho

WEST HAM XI: Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Rice; Diangana, Noble, Snodgrass, Felipe Anderson; Chicharito

Obviously a big fail on fpl towers hurriedly classifying masuaku as a mid

Yeah, was very disappointed with that. Loved owning him as a defender last season

That was truly baffling - if he's a mid based on last season, then so is Alonso, Davies etc.

read it now, i know there is a small tension between them but dropping him could be the end of puels leicester adventure. so hold him at least against cardiff the we will see.

I sold him earlier today (for Arnie lol...) when I saw reliable Leicester ITK's confirming he'd been dropped. I just reckoned that the Leicester camp doesn't seem to be a too happy one atm, but I'm sure it'll come back and bite me asap

Brought in Robertson and Arnautovic for a hit, had no Liverpool attack.

The reddest of red arrows ahoy.

That is just unfortunate mate (at least the subs), but luckily there are plenty more games to come and I'm guessing you have most of your attacking players left to play. Could still end up with a green one. Good luck!

Might chance Iheanacho for coming weeks, 3 mil saving compared to Vardy which could be put to good use

Shouldn't it be the guy who headed the pass assist since Balbuena didn't lose the ball technically?

Balbuena scored his own rebound, cancels out Rice's 'assist'.

Ok so I’m a bit confused right now. Bought Salah for 12.8, overnight he rose to 12.9 but selling value is still at 12.8 for me. Why?

    1. Eytexi
      • 6 Years
      5 years, 11 months ago

Has to rise 0.2 to rise 0.1 for you. This is always the case, you only profit half of price increase.

    2. Rainer
      • 8 Years
      5 years, 11 months ago

Need 0.2m rise for 0.1m profit.

    4. The 5% Team

Needs 0.2 rise to sell with 0.1 profit.
When Salah is 13.0 you're value will be 12.9

Yea I kinda always knew that... just thought it was a different case if they were rising towards their original value at the start of the season.

Need to rise 0.2 in price for a selling value of 0.1 (i.e you buy Salah at 12.5, current price 12.9 = selling value 12.7)
