FFS Head to Head leagues 2019/2020 Update

Now the dust has settled on GW1 and everyone focuses their mind onto GW2, behind the scenes at FFS the Head to Head Leagues and fixtures are being created. A total of 5983 managers have entered the first season of FFS H2H. This was far more than I had anticipated and means we’ll have a total of 300 leagues.

Structure

Each league will have 20 teams and will therefore play each other twice across the 38 gameweek season, replicating the real Premier League structure.

Division 1 – 1 League – 20 teams. Bottom 10 teams relegated into Division 2.

Division 2 – 2 Leagues – 20 teams in each. Top 5 of each league will be promoted to Division 1. Bottom 10 of each league will be relegated to the Division 3 leagues.

Division 3 – 4 leagues – 20 teams in each. Top 5 of each league will be promoted to Division 2. Bottom 10 of each league will be relegated to the Division 4 leagues.

Division 4 – 8 leagues – 20 teams in each. Top 5 of each league will be promoted to Division 3. Bottom 10 of each league will be relegated to the Division 5 leagues.

Division 5 – 16 leagues – 20 teams in each. Top 5 of each league will be promoted to Division 4. Bottom 10 of each league will be relegated to the Division 6 Leagues.

Division 6 – 32 Leagues – 20 teams in each. Top 5 of each league will be promoted to Division 5. Bottom 10 of each league will be relegated to the Division 7 Leagues.

Division 7 – 64 Leagues – 20 teams in each. Top 5 of each league will be promoted to Division 6. Bottom 10 of each league will be relegated to the Division 8 Leagues.

Division 8 – 173 Leagues – 156 leagues will have 20 teams in each and the remaining 17 leagues will have 19 teams plus the average score. Top 3 of each league will be promoted to Division 7 along with the best 121 4th placed managers. This will be determined by their total H2H points total and overall rank position. No relegation.

Again, I need to mention that all the leagues in each division are weighted equally so for example League 25 in Division 8 is the same level as League 110 in Division 8.

I do need to thank Geoff, Chris and Mat for their hard work behind the scenes over these last few weeks as all 5983 managers have now been ranked, using the HoF ranking system, and placed into the relevant leagues. All 38 gameweek fixtures have been generated and we are currently updating the league tables to reflect the GW1 scores.

We are working hard to get all this information onto FFS website for all to see in time for GW2.

Once the details are live on FFS I will be writing updates on the leagues and any big fixtures across all Divisions.

      It's alot easier using just FFS website. Would have been impossible using FPL site and given everyone different codes.

    Not sure I fully understand. Assuming I am in say Division 1, at what point would I be relegated into division two? If I lost my first H2H? Or at the end of the season?

      At the end of the season if you finished in the bottom ten of your league (after 38 games).

      All leagues are hosted on site rather than on FPL I believe.

      A lot easier than getting codes distributed and people signed up correctly on FPL

    Second question - assuming one finished inside the top 20 in the qualifying FPL league...does that mean they would be in automatically in division one? Or is it their historic OR that is used?

      If you entered the entry league before GW1 deadline youll be in a league. We then used the HoF ranking, so your FPL histroy over the years to determine what league you enter in at.

    Totally out of the loop on these H2H leagues and gutted missed the opening. Any chance I get in, took a big break from FF over the summer and must have missed the article. Would love to get in on this.

          Well I'm HoF 547 and in Div 3 league 1. So you would be in Div 3 and probably league 3.

    Do you have the FFS user names for everyone who entered, or are we just going to see everyone's "real" names?

      It is currently their real names, well their FPL namw., However in order for to successfully sort promotion and relegation for next year I'm hoping to get everyone's FFS username and even a link to their FPL team.
