Why are Liverpool yet to keep a clean sheet in 2019/20?

Owners of Liverpool defenders are becoming increasingly concerned with their defensive potential this season.

After keeping 21 clean sheets last season, Jurgen Klopp’s men are yet to record one in 2019/20.

Liverpool have already conceded to Norwich at Anfield as well as against Southampton in Gameweek 2.

With many Fantasy managers still doubled-up at the back for the Reds, we have taken another look at the data to see what we can learn.

The aim is to discover whether or not Liverpool have been unfortunate not to keep a clean sheet yet or if there are serious issues at the back for them.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

How did Liverpool’s defence do in Gameweek 2?

Lessons learned from Gameweek 2

Is Sigurdsson and Wilson to Mount and Kane worth a -4?

I do have Mane, KDB and Sterling.

New WC team, thoughts please - note: leaves 3M ITB.

    Pickford
    Digne, Laporte, AWB, Lundstram
    Sterling, Martial, NDombele, KDB
    Rashford, Pukki

    McGovern, Pieters, Ceballos, Wickham

    Alternatively;
    Laporte, NDombele & Pukki > Zinc, 5.8MID & Kane?

Not much in it - both keepers should get 6, so its Digne (avl) vs AWB (CPA). Digne would probably need attacking returns to beat AWB's BPS.

I just read an article where it said Silva will manage his minutes until he gets up to speed as he hasn't played much football (he is a teenager remember). Nobody is doubting his ability, especially when DCL looks a championship player. Comments in the same article hypothesised 30 minutes in the next game, and a home debut thereafter. Seems plauisble.

You need to fit mane in and take Rashford out somehow. Taa to dunk and Digne to zinc to fund it.

Is VvD and King to Maguire and Pukki a good move?

    Leaves me with this team:

    Ryan
    MAGUIRE-Robbo-Digne
    Sterling-Salah-Martial-Perez(ugh)-Hughes(ugh)
    Wilson-PUKKI

I wish I could go for Moise Kean instead, but he still to get a start. I say this because the guy infront of me in my ML has Pukki.

Tempted to do something similar myself. Personally prefer AWB or Shaw

He has AWB as well.. So it's between Maguire(who seems to be the main target on every set piece) or Shaw who's offensive, but not that great going forward.

Looking at differentials in gw3 is a big NO. Play your own game, dont care about your rivals.

A, but could do Zinchenko/AWB for Walker there. Martial seems really good value, no chance to fit him in? Mount or McGinn over Ceballos.

Thoughts on Wilson + Robinson + Robertson to Greenwood + De Bruyne + Zinchenko (-4)?

    Would give me:

    Pope
    VVD - Digne - Zinchenko - Zouma
Salah - Sterling - De Bruyne - Martial
    Deeney - Jota

    McGovern, Lundstram, Dendoncker, Greenwood

    Thanks guys!

Already at -4. Would you make it to -8 with Perez -> Martial or give Perez next two gameweeks?

Martial (CPA) probably outscores Perez (shu) by 4 points as I think the latter may be benched for Albrighton.

Although it seems a safe bet and no brainer to jump on the KdB train, I’m still intrigued to go Son instead. Have no clue on his form but he should go straight into the starting XI and can possibly score big from the start. Both have good fixtures. Who do you guys prefer?

i have a feeling Son will be good but have a negative effect on Kane. So I'm holding my guns till I see what happens.

What would you do with this team and 1 free transfer and 0,4 in the bank?

    Ryan

    TAA, Robertson, Walker-Peters, Lundstram (Rico)

Salah, De Bruyne, Sigurdsson, Martial (Dendoncker)

    Kane, Pukki (Wickham)
