Is now the time to sell Leicester City defenders?

Having recorded just one clean sheet in seven league matches, Leicester City defenders are not quite the attractive options they were during their autumnal purple patch.

Three of the Foxes’ first-choice backline are indeed among the top five most-sold Fantasy Premier League defenders of Gameweek 23 at the time of writing.

Jonny Evans (£5.3m) is the only Leicester defender to have registered an attacking return over the last seven Gameweeks, meanwhile, and the loss of key midfielder Wilfred Ndidi (£5.0m) to injury would seem to further dent the clean sheet prospects of Brendan Rodgers’ side.

With some Fantasy managers already losing faith, are we rushing to judgement about the Foxes’ defence?

        Yes that's true. However I feel like Klopp wouldn't want to rush Matip in since Gomez has been performing pretty well. If Gomez could make past the dgw my defence is in a shape where it doesn't affect me too much if he was to be benched.

    I want some more opinions. I'm really tempted to start Cantwell or Alli. Sure, Alli may be the better player, but I'd rather play someone who has a home fixture against whipping boys than someone who has an away fixture against an improving team in good form.

    Rashford's injury seems minor

    Why do you want to sell a player in form with 3 out of 4 home games and an away game with a kindergarten defence of Chelsea.
    Did you really expect more than 2 points anyways against pool?

          He would have played on if he could. There was only a couple of mins left anyway. Ollie said Rashy was struggling lately and he wanted to rest him last night.

            It's a knock in the back, nothing can go wrong in this area except from a bruising which can easily be monitored with some injections for the derby.
            No nerve, no disk or any other pathology involved since he walked out by himself

              Rashford himself said he has been struggling with back pain for years and has been using a bone-healing ultrasound machine to relive the pain.

              Will he play? Gel, injections and strapping should do it(or not)

              are you a doctor? Not sure those latter descriptions is correct. knock in the back could be whatever and it need not to be much before it is difficult to play at high level with.

              tried to play on but could´nt, that´s for me either it´s so painful that it is enough to keep him out for a while or it was because he had next games in mind.

              Yes, he can but personally I doubt that. This happened twice in the space of 4 days. The physios would have to give him the break for further treatment or risk losing him for a longer term. I am guessing their report would be negative for the next 2-5 weeks.

              He should be back in between those weeks if the severity is not serious

                I am curious to see how those 2-5 are coming from!

                As I said, i don't expect him to stay off, they haven't got the privilege to rest him.

                But in the end, I am not a Rashford owner neither a utd fan so yes, 2-5 sounds good to me 🙂

                  At the moment I'm benching Aurier as I think Shef Utd have a decent chance of a clean sheet against Auba-less Arsenal, whereas i cant see the same for Aurier against resurgent Watford. I also think their attacking threat is similar, so Lund edges it.

                            i have not seen them much lately but seems to have had some tough games, Everton away with Ancelotti is not Brighton material, they looked very bright (not a pun)vs Palace first 60 minutes and they were a class above Bournemouth at the Amex. Decent performances vs Spurs and Chelsea too, i think Brighton with the way they set up will do well against bad defences, so the next 2 at least is very nice. Then it is kind of ok ish for a while but better defences so Maupay for me might just be someone else at that time. I´m struggling with Maupay and Grealish as i don´t know which i´m going to remove, if i do at all.

                        Seem to recall that the pattern then was similar. Jesus got games but mostly when Kun was out or just coming back.

                        One year on though and PL not at stake might tip the balance

                    GW28 could be a problem mind given an almost certain blank. You’d need to start shifting them out almost immediately unless you’re happy to bench.

                    You’d be doubly screwed if Villa win and SU blank too.
