Having rolled out a Selection Guide to Goalkeepers earlier this afternoon, we now switch focus to the Members Projections for our search for the men between the sticks. While Joe Hart predictably sits out on top, we focus on value in this first Members article, examining those keepers who are expected to deliver the best points per million ratio for the season and the first six Gameweeks…
he wants to...but malaga ownership is up in the air. They may have new owners soon. This may delay his transfer.

Any Liverpool defenders a good bet? With Brendan Rogers as manager they might have a decent defence.
Open ControlsHas Ivan played RB for Chelski yet pre-season!?
for the first few friendlies he was a bit awol
any more news on 'em?Open Controlsfellas, is this just too light up front and too DEF heavy? 2 gambles AND torres?
Damn all this chopping and changing.
Cech (Cerny)
Gorkss, Vertonghen, Verm (Rafael, Fabio)
Hazard (Bale Wk2), Siggy, Kags, Yaya, (Maloney)
Lambert, Petric, Torres (c)Open ControlsMaybe Federici for Cerny?., Federici has DGW.
I like your midfield. But your attack looks a bit weak.
7.Open ControlsVert and Verm were in my first RMT this season cos they looked so awesome. Your mid, defence and GK is surprisingly strong. I'd definitely switch Lambert for Graham to make it more credible up front. I'd also look at downgrading Yaya to a hot 7.0 like Sinclair or 6.5 like Pienaar as Yaya plays deep too often
Open Controls
Seriously thinking of biting the bullet and going for extreme valour given that I'll probably end up needing the wildcard no matter what team I pick. Flair or nowhere!
Dodging Chelsea midfield coverage entirely in favour of the champions slaughtering the newbies...
PS: yes I am hedging my bets on Nelsen. He has history playing under Hughes. Dawson is rumoured to be next Spurs captain.
Federici Jaaskelainen
Cole Dawson Cuellar Fonte Nelsen
Silva Kagawa Michu Hoilett Maloney
Torres Aguero TevezOpen ControlsDawson may be the next Spurs (c) but will he get picked against the better (IMO) CB's of Vertonghen and Kaboul?
Open ControlsI also think, just for GW 1 you need either Torres or Hazard (or Oscar?)
Open ControlsSo I've got Torres and Cole and am unwilling to touch their poisonous midfield - also very unconvinced by Hazard! Am definitely toying with keeping 0.5 to go Aguero > Rooney...
Open Controls
Yeah i'm not convinced Dawson will start for us, I still think Kaboul will get the nod. I don't think Nelson will start either though i'm less sure on that one. Nice team otherwise. Surprisingly good considering your heavy forward line.
Open ControlsHaha and the reason it's survived the forward line is because I've almost killed the defence! I just find the Dawson situation strange. I really rate Kaboul but can't understand why AVB would make a bit part player captain. He also surely won't want to rotate CBs.

RMT
Dgea Federici
Hangeland Lescott Cuellar (Fabio, Clyne)
Siggurdson Hazard Tarabt Larsson (Noble)
Graham Aguero Torres
Suggestions?Open ControlsTaraabt good shout, could be a good season for him. I think there are better options than Graham, and I prefer Maloney to Noble, but thats just me i think. Not sure on your DEF, could be a lot of goals, or could be a rotational goal leaking mare
Open Controls
Which players in the game would you be happy about captaining against any opposition? I can only think of 3; RVP, Rooney and Aguero. Anyone else you'd add to that list?
Open ControlsHmm... I can't think of any more
Open Controls
if you abandon trends and pick the worst bench possible its possible to pick a ridiculously good (on paper) team
Open ControlsIt is possible to pick a goal scoring machine like this:
Federici
Fonte Verm Vertonghen
Siggy Yaya Hazard Kagawa Michu
Tevez Torres
with total shite on the bench...Open Controlskarlosii i think i can get it a bit better:
Friedel
Hangeland Lescott Cashley
Kagawa Dempsey Pienaar Siggy
Tevez Torres BaOpen ControlsCech (Cerny)
Gorkss, Vertonghen, Verm (Demel, Fabio)
Hazard Siggy Kags Yaya Michu
Petric Torres (c) (Lambert)Open ControlsB but i don't like either non-city choices really... prefer n'zogbia or lamps for example
Open Controlsif siggy was nailed on i'd go for it but VDV makes it awkward.
Open Controlssiggy will start every game, just look at his goal scoring history. theres a reason VDV has been totuted as moving on. Siggy preseason and last season has been immense.
Open Controlsavb has committed to VDV, saying he's an essential part of his plans, so no, not necessarily. VDV has a fantastic scoring history BTW, and sigurdsson hasn't even had a full season in the prem...
Open Controls
Pienaar will rip up the league this season IMO. silly not to pick him
Open Controls
Surfer Rosa, nearly there yet so far away -
Federici,
Hughes, Fabio, Lescott
Hazard, Michu, Bale, Toure
Torres, Petric, Tevez
Mignolet, Pienaar, Clark, Fabio
Please advise 🙂Open Controlsspectacular (how the hell did you afford that?!)
Open ControlsHaving 2 Fabio's is sure to help as well 🙂
Open ControlsI'm not really a fan of Toure because he often plays in fairly defensive positions. I like the punt on Petric and the rest of your team is sound. Not sure that particular keeper option is the best but I like the originality there.
Open ControlsMignolet could be a good bet with O'Neil strengthening his DEF
Open ControlsI checked on Federici, Reading were pretty good defensively but Championship to PL is like stepping up from PL to CL. He'll do ok. Had Jaaskelainen so now have West Ham, WBA or Wigan 4.5m defender instead of Hughes. But apparently Hughes is nailed on, someone advise please? Clark, Tevez, not nailed on. I posted a team yesterday with 2 Rafaels, so hard to tell them apart!
Open ControlsYeah I just swapped Jaas to Federici as well, West Ham have been dire in pre season.
I'd say Hughes and Clark aren't nailed on so chances are one of them will be and the other won't be. A bit risky having both imo. If you can afford the extra 0.5 for Hangeland he would be a much safer bet and he offers an attacking threat. There might be more nailed on Villa defenders out there as well.Open Controls
Recent changes regarding Mr Pienaar and Sigurdson has brought me to a new line up.
I still plan on holding back 3.5m in case I chose to upgrade Tevez or Torres to Rooney.
DDG, Federici
Cole, Hangeland, Rangel, Fabio, Clyne
Noble, Taarabt, Pienaar, Hazard, Siggy/VDV
Torres, Tevez, Graham
3.5m bank
Thoughts on this team and the plan I have in mind?Open Controlstoo much in bank and not sure Graham will have the season he had last year. better options there IMO. Nice rotation options tho. not bad.
Open ControlsThe bank is so I can get Rooney in GW2 and to enable other upgrades as certain must have players present themselves. Its a very specific tactic I'm keen to try out.
Open Controls
How do you guys think Jon Walters will do this season? He seems like a decent option for the midfield.
Open Controls(sorry, couldnt resist).
I don't think he'll have another season like his good one, better options at that price. If you want to gamble (which I think Walters is, look at Anderson, Michu, Maloney, Pienaar, Taraabt, all underpriced IMO)Open Controlswhat do you think the starting center back pairing for Chelsea will be? Terry/Luiz, Terry/Cahill, or Luiz/Cahill?
Open Controls
just as a follow up about VDV vs. sigurdsson.
in the premier league VDV has scored a point every 13.6 minutes, sigurdsson every 14.7. nailed on? not a chance.Open Controlsthat stat is based on VDV having less pitch time than most., he's aging and theres a new manager trying to move him on.
Open Controlsand i know it was in a weaker team, but that doesn't always mean anything; if anything that just makes it riskier, he could easily fare less well in a different system. swansea's system really suited a player in that kind of role IMO. in theory so could AVB's, but still...
Open ControlsJust back from Spurs/Bulls. Sigs didn't really create much in midfield but took a lot of good corners, assisted off one, and later had a slick move in the box for a goal against the Red Bull reserves. There was however one Spurs midfielder who looked pretty good tonight.
Open Controls
When VDV comes back from injury I'd expect him to go straight back into the starting lineup. It'd be interesting to see how that affects Siggy's output.
Open Controlsit'll be verrrry interesting if he tries to accommodate both, maybe playing VDV as an inside forward on the right of a front 3 for example.
Open ControlsVDV hates the wing and isn't particularly good at tracking back. I can't imagine AVB playing him out there.
Open Controlsi agree, i think he's crap out there TBH, but i wasn't expecting VDV to be in AVB's plans at all, so his statements to the contrary surprised me a little.
Open Controlsmy main worry i suppose is that siggy isn't exactly AVB's transfer, as they were chasing him before he was hired...
Open ControlsBale is a much safer option, nailed on and more dangerous than both nowadays
Open ControlsFair point that. Last year Siggy was popular because he was so cheap but with the prices almost identical surely Bale is a better option. Personally I'm a big fan of VDV because he usually plays off the striker. The key though is whether he is fit enough because he is a brilliant player when 100% but not so much when at 80%
Open Controls
opta point or FF point? I'm not sure managers look at FF points... although some should try!
Open Controlssorry i meant fpl points 😛

RMT
Friedel - Federici
Clichy - Williams - Ivanovic - Clyne - Gunter
Silva - Hazard - Sinclair - Maloney - Frei
Aguero - Torres - Pog
2.0m left over for torres -> rooney
gwk 3 hazard -> bale
gwk 4 cole -> vertonghen
Any suggestions I'm strongly considering getting petric or graham instead of pog. I want to downgrade sinclair to fund this move, however I'm not sure which 6.0m mid to pick.Open ControlsI like the idea of Michu and the swans have a nice early run of fixtures, but how nailed on is Michu to play in the hole?
Open Controls
I find a good way to build a team is to make changes and hit transfer. if the ins dont match the outs hit cancel. progress until no ins are better than outs. although i expect you've all figured that out already...
Open ControlsYep. Recently did N'Zogbia to Pienaar. No brainer that one once his transfer to Everton was confirmed.
Open Controlsha ha, easy choice. But is he better than Michu. I think both are good value.
Open ControlsGot both in my midfield too.... Pienaar is class and Michu is 6 foot 2 and should adapt to the perimership quickly......
Open Controls
thought about pineear then switched to Michu, better fixture, and everton always start slow.
Not to mention Michu's goal scoring potentialOpen Controls
Noble or Maloney? Thoughts on Guthrie at 4.5?
Open ControlsAnybody tempted to include west ham defenders as a budget option....there fitures are kind early doors?
if so who...?Open ControlsJust had a thought regarding United's defence for the first few games. A current CB crisis could see Jones and Vidic together at CB. With Rafael also away with the Brazil squad at the Olympics he may not start at the beginning of the season. This could mean Valencia playing at RB with Young and Nani on the wings
Open Controlsalmost certainly for first game. plus Vidic has a knee issue.
Open Controls
Bale, Cole, Friedel, Federici
or
Siggy, Vertonghen, Cech, Cerny?Open ControlsRMT pls
federici (rudd)
cole jones hangeland (stam)
kagawa silva dempsey hazard (britton, barnet)
torres tevez pogrebnyak
THANKSOpen ControlsHaving 6 midfielders definately makes it different??
Barnet at the back maybeOpen ControlsI like the Jones punt but he may only be nailed on for the first few fixtures till people come back from injury and Rafael becomes available.
Dempsey may not be available straight away either as transfer speculation may prevent him from starting for Fulham or if he has transferred to a new club he may be eased into the side. Consider a Spurs mid to replace him.
Otherwise I like the idea of a strong starting 11 and a rubbish bench.Open Controls
Morning all,
Here's my little lot:
DDG Federici
Cole Lescott Cuellar Demel Tierney (or other 4.0 def)
Silva Bale Pienaar Michu Noble
Bent Torres Petric
2.0 asside for the Torres -> Rooney switch in GW2
Originally had Ramires in for the DGW but with him being called up for the friendly v Sweden, I think there's a good chance he'll be rested for the first game. Also had Aguero in and out of my team but whenever he's in the rest of the team looks a bit underwhelming after downgrades to fit him in so I'm sticking with Silva as my Man City attacking coverage atm.
Anyway, thoughts?Open ControlsRMT Please
Federici - DDG
Cashley – Lescott – Jones – (Butterfield) – (Tierney)
Lampard – Young – Michu – Noble - (Maloney)

So, how likely is this Cazorla to Arsenal move to go through?
