    Morning all,

I’ve replaced foden with eze and kept the money in the bank so I have some flexibility with first transfers. Thoguhts?

    Onana
    Akanji, estupinan, Gabriel
    Saka, martinelli, Bruno, rashford, eze
    Haaland, Watkins

    Areola, beyer, baldock, mubama

is bruno and rashford overkill, especially with no Liverpool coverage? other than that I like.

I think I’m set on the united double up to begin with. And then can drop whichever performs lower and jump onto the city / Liverpool mid that emerges.

Have strongly considered Darwin over watkins but just feel his mins are risky at the moment

Watkins is nailed in my team. I have bruno as I have Salah and cant find the 0.5 to upgrade to Rashford. Both decent picks, not sure about having both though.

    Bottomed

Howdy folks, which team is better?

    Team A (343)

    Onana
    Chilwell • Estupinian • Gabriel
    Mitoma • Rashford • Saka • Odegard
    Watkins • Haaland • Pedro

    Playing bench: Tarkowski • Nakamba

Has 2.5m in the bank to upgrade Pedro to Nkunku (if needed)

    Team B (442)

    Onana
    Chilwell • Estupinian • Gabriel • Baldock
    Salah • Saka • Odegard • Rashford
    Pedro • Haaland

    Playing bench: Henry • Nakamba

Personally - option 2 - but perhaps downgrade odegard to $6.5 to upgrade Baldock.

My effort to try and shoehorn Salah into the team

    Areola/Steele
    Chillwell/stones/estu/Gabriel/Meyer
    Salah/Saka/Rashford/Eze/Baptiste
    Haaland/Wissa/joao pedro

    Keepers feel week!

Keepers are horrible. Can you go 3-4-3 downgrade stones to decent 4.5 and then upgrade a keeper?

4.5 4.0 is the standard go-to keeper set up. Nothing wrong with it

That's specific combo is a risk as Verbruggen and Fabianski could play in the same GW.

4-5-1 as no other striker I want.

    Onana
    Chilwell / Gabriel / Saliba / James
    Salah / Saka / BrunoF / Mbuemo / Eze
    Haaland

    Areola / 4.5(suggestions?) / Mubama / 4.5

      4.5 defender i like Tarkowski.

i feel double chelsea defence might be something to move to come GW 3 (possibly 2), but ballsy to start with that. swap James out to a city defender of choice.

Looks good, have 7/11 of those in my team. Biggest differences are double Spurs instead of triple Arsenal, and Kane instead of Salah (if he stays of course).

I’ve played around with some Spurs. Porro and Maddison mainly.

    Onana
    Stones,Estupinian,Gabriel,Chilwell,Pau

Undecided on Eze/Mitoma/Mmembo,/Diaby for the 6.5slot.

Cheers mate. Will need to keep an eye on this this week. before its nailed for friday. Think your spot on with spurs and we need some cover. Think with starting with Salah and fingers crossed no transfers till GW3 we can do a mini rebuild after seeing a couple of games and salah money will help with that. If he bangs there will be a lot of people ripping up there teams to get him in.

A - feels more reliable on the basis that brighton paid a bit for Pedro, fixtures are good and he's had a great pre season. Saka is Saka. B feels less solid as who knows what version of Darwin will turn up.

If you go B does that leave you with one starting forward?

    Morning All,

Is Pedro a good option now?
Or Mitoma is still the best attacking option from BRI?

I like pedro. i think there is a rotation risk but reports from pre season are great and he's 1m cheaper than mitoma. also pundav has left so less competition up front.

I've got him, but he is a risk. Brighton have so many options, you have to expect heavy rotation. With JP, I suspect that when he doesn't start, he comes on as a sub, meaning there's a high chance of too many 1-point cameos.

They paid a decent wedge for Pedro so I imagine he will play most games. Keep an eye on them bringing Kudus in though as he can play either number 10 or upfront, so could be a potential problem

he/she probably probably doesnt have the team structure to go for salah though

I'm tempted to try Jota while fit in the same way I'm tempted by Wilson when fit. Both can do well in FPL even if they begin matches on the bench sometimes.

I think Klopp's favoured front 3 is Jota, Gakpo and Salah. Both Gakpo and Jota press and graft which is exactly what he wants. But all of their forwards barring Salah are rotation risks

See the last friendly for clues. The one who plays 60 min would be the one,
Chelsea away is a tough fixture, so Jota with his great pressing and defensive work could be preferred, also covering James.

Traditionally, yes. I also reckon Poch will get them playing better, especially defensively.

i am a bit surprised trossard is only 7m, is he more of a rotation risk compared to marti? Who to go for second arsenal attack? play safe with odegaard?thanks

Watching the CS yesterday, Martinelli looked like Arsenal's most dangerous player. Really advanced, on corners with Saka too. He will likely be subbed off around 70 for Trossard most games but he could easily bag one or two in that time

He was peripheral last season for Arsenal whilst Marti was a regular starter and scorer, and now they've strengthened their midfield. It makes sense for FPL Towers to assume the same this season. The low price covers the risk in starting him regularly and ending up with too many 1-point cameos.

I've got him in my team at the minute as a bit of a spicy punt, but I'm getting cold feet now with KDB back....

        He's never been nailed - that's why he's cheap.

Which do we think scores more in the first 5/6 GW's?

A: Flekken, TAA, Foden, Alvarez (could easily be Wissa)
    B: Onana, Chilwell, KDB, J.Pedro

      B. Foden and Alvarez may not even start.

    A) rashford & Watkins
    B) salah & Pedro

I have Bruno so would be a united double up with A

By 10pm next Friday there could be a lot of people saying that a 2 pointer was inevitable given his performance yesterday and the fact that he had only scored 1 goal in his last 9 club games but unless you're going to keep millions in the bank to get him in for GW3 it doesn't make much sense to me.

Away record is not that impressive for him and going with Salah instead of him could be ok. I mean bad season for Salah was just 30 to 40 points from best Halaand performance. Can use 1.5 elsewhere too.

I'm asking this question because I'm trying to pull together a Fan Team squad. What price would Rashford be if he was classified as a forward in the FPL? I know he'd get less points for a goal and a clean sheet and as such she should cost less than 9m but does the structure of the game mean he'd actually cost more? Thanks.

Use Watkins as a baseline. 8m in both games. I think Rash is a touch overpriced in Fanteam at 9.5.

      I think he'd be 8.5 or 9 in FPL.

What's your Fanteam draft looking like out of interest?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. My team is really fluid at the moment on Fan Team but players that I'm considering for my FPL team like Mitoma, Eze, Foden, Bruno and especially Saka are at least a notch above where they are pitched in FPL. Because of that, I think I'll end up with Salah as a second premium on there which I won't on FPL.

The pricing does make it a (welcome) challenge. A lot depends on whether Kane stays for me, but I've only got a few locks so far.

          Trent, Chilwell
          Bruno, Doucoure
          Haaland

Yeah, TAA much more worth consideration on there.
