Full strength Villa lineup against Hibernian in the Conference League.

Could be seen as overkill, but Emery's in it to win it, and at this stage the extra game gives more match fitness to players. I'm sure there'll be a raft of early subs too.

They will get the job done tonight and field a second team next week. It kind of makes sense.

also with the injuries / more experienced youth being farmed out there aren't loads of options to rotate and keep a strong squad

expect a few more incomings for us in window now bringing in cash for Ramsey/Archr etc

    Hold onto/Vote 4 Pedro!

"It is being reported that Julio Enciso has suffered a serious knee injury in Brighton training this week — with other reports claiming he has been seen on crutches this afternoon."

I’m on both. The Enciso injury secures Mitoma’s minutes a but more as De Zerbi has deployed Enciso on the left before.

I took a hit and moved him to Alvarez. What is the worst that can happen? 1 point cameo or a start from Pedro or Alvarez getting stuck in at SHU?

Either way, Pedro is not nailed so if you want to hold another week, not going to change that he is not nailed yet.

            Woah, defensive...

I would hold for at least this week, Party. A long-term injury to Enciso would very likely mean Pedro starts the vast majority of games (with maybe an occasional rotation to play Lallana / Welbeck 10, Ferguson 9)

Alvarez isn’t nailed either but should do well. Worst case scenario, Pedro scores a brace from the pen spot.

Would you sell him for a hit?

              • 5 Years

If Pedro was nailed, I would have kept him. I got him in on my WC last week including Maddison. Pedro cameo and Maddison doubt.

Reminds me of bringing in Darwin last season on WC GW2 if memory serves me correct and him getting a red. That is just my luck when it comes to WC's 🙂

Reading that United might be paying €5m for the NK Kustošija keeper. Kid is US born but family are Croatian. Despite living up the road from their ground for 5 years I can't say I know.much about the team. They did open a restaurant as part of their big renovation though.

A boozy trip to NK Trešnjevka is on the cards for Saturday. 3rd division action at its best.

      Tough to say...
-On one hand, he is captaining the squad and has been playing well.
-On the other hand: Pep talked about wanting to get Rico some playing time, Stones will be back after the IB and would not be surprised in the least if we saw a back 4 of Akanji Gvardiol Dias Ake

He was decent against spurs all be it missed some good chances

At the end of the day a lot of the views are warped by penalties

He’s had 2 already, in the next 2 game weeks someone like Bruno could have 2 and all of a sudden he’s back in favour

Definitely a good buy but wouldn’t expect him to keep banging them in

    Johnstone Turner
    Chillwell Shaw Henry Estupi Botman
    Odegaard Saka Martinelli Bruno Rashford
    Haaland Ul-jo Osula.

Genuinely considering rolling but also feel getting Ederson in for Johnstone would just sort my GK out until a potential wildcard. Goalie transfers are "meh" but think its a set and forget and gets into the MCI CS gravy train.

Next weeks move would probably be one of Bruno/Rashy to Mbuemo/Foden.

    Pickford
    Estup - Chilwell - Romero - Colwill

I might not be the best person to ask about Foden tbh - past disappointments lend kind of an emotional response to avoid him which isn't great for decision making. I would say he did a pretty good job of filling the creative void left by KDB/Bernardo against Newcastle. His movement was outstanding & he created quite a few chances, even if the final ball wasn't quite precise at times. I don't think Doku is a problem at all at this stage. Most people seem to assume Bernardo replaces Kovacic, although I do think there is some (perhaps smaller) chance that they retain the double pivot & then its 2 from 3 among Bernardo/Foden/Alvarez

Thanks for the response. I just don’t want Rashy anymore and could do with some money in the bank.
