I'm so looking forward to Sterling's blank this weekend.
The owners will probably rage transfer him out for Bowen, after his haul vs. Luton, next week.
    And so it goes ...

Salah posted yesterday that he was on his "day off" looking at Egyptian artifacts in a London museum. Day off?

Yeah, I am not sure but this is kind of weird seeing London is where players and agents meet...

if he was sold to Saudi I would have the perfect excuse to sell him and get in 3 cheaper players that I really want 🙂
      guess we'll find out soon

Going to wildcard in GW5. Which midfielder or forward is best for a one week punt for 6.4m or less?

Was thinking Antonio vs Luton as he looked lively vs Brighton.

Yeah, may as well give Bowen a whirl.

I say this as someone who has only captained H once so far.
This week would need some real nerve.
His sequence of scoring last year 2-0-1-all the hat-tricks.
His sequence of scoring this year 2-0-1... Fulham next.

Palhinha is a good point but I still fancy City to lay down a marker. Arsenal still got 3.23 xg at home with JP playing.

Yeah but I think that's kind of inevitable when you take an early lead at Emirates & then spend most of the game protecting it..? Was watching that game & I think it just reinforced my opinion on what a difference Palhinha makes. I should probably catch up on the City game before I commit though but I just don't see them rolling teams over at the moment

To be fair, the game was always going to go that way even without the early goal, so you'd expect City to do the same. Haaland could have easily had a hat-trick against Blades, even if City looked disjointed at times. I could easily see it being a tight game for the first 25 minutes or so, then a lapse in concentration opens the floodgates.

They also seem to get dodgy penalties every other week, but that's another story...

Wildcard draft - any thoughts? Too template is fine, lots of my competition are not too template.

    Ederson (Areola)
    Chilwell Gusto Udogie (Cash Andersen)
    Saka Maddison Sterling Mbeumo Bowen
    Haaland Wissa (Osula)

Not sure if I want to keep Saka but likely too damaging not to have
Not sure if I want double Brentford attack (the rest of my midfield is a good representation of teams - who would you get in instead of Wissa, money not an issue)
    Defence look okay?

    Thanks

Very similar to mine. I have Gvardiol, Cash, Jackson over Gusto, Anderson, Osula.

Considering Bruno over Mbeumo. Have exact funds.

      My 2 cents:

ASSUMING NO MONEY IN THE BANK LEFT

      1) I would certainly pop in a Foden for their run -
you know how he has a couple green patches every year?
Now's his, he's their only creative outlet, Pep spoke him up, and - Pep's city have a history of solid 11 for the first 7-9 GWs before his roulette starts. Not that Foden has any replacement anyway with KDB out.
he did block me from Cash coming off the bench last week though 😀

      2) Also - the back 6 you have, well apart from Matty Cash, they ALL face a fixture swing at around GW 10 -whats ur plan then? you dont wana be spending transfers on defense, when everyone else is playing the forward hokey switches and upside chasing
Try to build a back 5 rotating pair up until GW 15 - u want a set and forget rotating 5

      3) Also, a Saka to Foden would not only enable the above 2 points at the same time, but might also get u a third striker for bench options when Bowen has (and he does have) horrible fixtures from 5-9 - unless u plan on a 442 then.
Do you want a 442? have you considered WHEN a 442 will clash with a 352? (ie on the same week ull have both options viable or both options horrible) - in other words, try to find rotating formations when theirs a need.
I own Saka but without Jesus fully fit and firing, that's hurt me owning him and martinelli big time. his points per million are very abysmal.
Also, the constant change of LB at arsenal, always changes where/when/how he'll receive the ball, making him less effective.
HOWEVER (1 drawback), that will mean sacrificing ur only cashcow - and reconsolidating your funds later might prove hard - but who do you realistically want then who are between the 8-10 price point? Son? Saka? Rash? Bruno? Ode? not many options
      All wait and see IMO

tip: gw 7/8, a Wisa to an Awoniyi switch looks scrumptious and on time, OR a Mbuemo to a Gibbs white.

      - open up an excel sheet, and plan ur team for the next 10 Gws, see how it looks, think of flexibility vs exit strategies.

Conclusion: there is no right or wrong strategy, but the very least is KNOWING what your strategy is like the back of your hand, this gives you a clear picture of how to upscale/downscale or move sideways when the need comes.

My reasoning for Son is simple hes moved into the striker role when richardslon has been subbed of . There is a possability he will start the next game there . He has haul possibilities .

got him in last week for richardslon , was toss up between him and madders .Not ready to give up on him yet . New striker would change a lot tho . ive been waiting to get johnson when forests fixtures improve so if he moves to spurs id have to wait longer as spurs toughie 6/7 gw . Then that would free up funds for salah but well leave that debate for another day ....if he stays haha

Maddison will become a better FPL option when Spurs get a proper number 9 who can finish the chances he will create. As good as Richarlison is, he's not a 25+ goal a season striker.
