FPL International Break Members Video: Andy + David

Our Members Videos are continuing right on through the international break this season.

This week, Scoutcast host Andy North is joined by Audio and Video Editor David Munday in this exclusive stream for Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout.

The pair are chatting over on our YouTube channel about how the Members Area can help solve any goalkeeping dilemmas as well as looking at Burnley and Luton’s Double Gameweek 7.

Carlton Morris (£5.5m) gets a bit of a look-in while Jordan Pickford (£4.5m) owners might want to look away.

The stream is watchable via the embedded video below.

Fat Neymar misses a penalty. He looks like he's been on the beers which is odd considering where he lives now.

Last week was a rough one. Classic FPL where 50/50 calls can mean big points swings for or against. Always gotta remember single gameweeks don't define success or failure though. Whenever you wildcard you remove players capable of big gw hauls so there's always a strong chance you lose points immediately and feel like a duck head.

Everyone I wildcarded in blanked except for Maddison who I would have got with a ft anyway. Dropped Trent, Eze, mitoma, odegaard lol. If I just did odegaard to Maddison and not wildcarded I'd be 16 points better off with a 100 point gw score and would be ranked around 250 in the world instead of 3500.

The annoying thing is I threw away 13 points purely based on my own stupidity and not backing myself. After telling others to avoid Jackson all week and having Alvarez in every single wildcard draft, I made a last minute genius decision to drop Alvarez for Jackson convincing myself it was the safer more sensible move anticipating man city rotation over coming weeks.

Anyway still happy with my decision to wildcard and other than Jackson over Alvarez happy with all my picks.

I'm expecting Alvarez to be benched vs West ham so won't get him this week. Expecting diaz to be benched vs wolves too so think I'll drop him and bring Eze back in. Was a mistake to lose him.

    Will give me this lot

    Martinez
    Trippier Chilwell Udogie
    Saka Maddison Sterling Eze
    Haaland Jackson Awoniyi

    Areola Bowen Tavares Pinncok

Players I have my eyes on
Rashford, martinell, Alvarez, Diaby, Salah, Jesus, hojlund foster

If you think Alvarez is going to be benched vs West Ham, then getting Jackson was the right call. You weren't picking for just one gameweek. And it's easy to say in hindsight that you lost 13 points, but if you submitted that team at deadline, then you weren't expecting a 13-point difference.

84 isn't a particularly rough game week and your WC players may out score what you used to have ... be positive as you can't judge the WC on one week 🙂

It's a good team but not what I would pick ... I would have picked Alvarez but had a stronger bench to cover rotation.

Personally I wouldn't have Sterling & Jackson together and not sure how a WC team doesn't have Son v Sheff Utd, even if just as a one week punt and then move him on for the better fixtures next week of City, Utd, Newcastle, Brentford, Brighton etc.

I looked at his history and it doesn't add up - GUYB only got 73 points WC4. So I don't know where the "16 points better off with a 100 point gw score" claim comes from.

          Good research

It was a BB team in GW3 so maybe assumed he would have started all the top scorers in their position for his 100 points?

I see the Twitter content creators are 'all cards in' on a Luton attacker for the double game week in 7.

Do we ever learn ? 😉

I follow a few and because of that others pop up in my feed. Don't watch them, just see their tweets.

This was a good one from @allaboutfpl (no idea who this is)

        ....

After GW4: Luton are terrible. Not at all going near them for DGW

GW5: Luton defense is bad. Their attackers may be on my watchlist

GW6: Morris is the talisman, looks good on the eye test. Decent underlying numbers as well. Not a priority but may consider him next week on FT

GW7: Fixtures are king. -4 done. Get in MORRIS CAPTAIN

Some hot topics which will take up the majority of time with content creators:
Double GW players for Luton and Burnley with the impact of a WC this week and what you may be left with.
Getting Son considering fixtures with the caveats of already owning Maddi and forcing a transfer from a player that may outscore him.
6% owned Awoniyi is an alternative to Jackson and Morris an alternative for Pedro.
Going all the way down to Archer.
Holding onto ManU and Arsenal players or getting other shiny toys.
Travel time for the likes of Alvarez and Darwin.
Newcastle fixture pile up and full back rotation.
Estupinan going forward in a side that cannot keep a clean sheet but him having to attacking stats as a defender.
    When to move out Gusto.
The dearth of choices in Keepers.
    The captaincy choice.
