    Best option:

    A) Eze to JWP

    B) Bench Eze and play Cash

    Cheers.

    Saka:
"I've just got to training and had some breakfast and come to speak to you, so, yeah"

Okay this is my analysis on the situation.

He went down injured in the NLD and was in agony. However, once he was treated by the medical team on the pitch, he managed to dribble past a few players and take a decent shot on goal. He was limping slightly whilst coming off the pitch though. I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Sounds to me he isn't training and that's why he's free to talk on the radio.

This was at 8:30am FYI. Quite early to have missed training to do this instead.

Saka was only having there in small chunks during a 12 minute period.

Training could have started at 9am and he'd be ready, since by his words he was there already.

(This is just an example, I'm not saying it happened, just that it's entirely feasible.)

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting you were saying I was lying.

I meant that Saka isn't lying saying he's at training (because the pic of him today at the interview is clearly at Arsenal in training gear).

                  Sorry if that wasn't clear!

Sounds like Saka ate breakfast and then did an interview. No suggestion that he actually participated in the training itself.

I wouldn't read too much into that, "I've just go to training" to me suggests he was referring more to a place, than an activity. My take would be, he just arrived at the training facility, but that doesnt mean he is necessarily there to train.

Not disagreeing necessarily 🙂 But why turn up at training, and put on the training kit, of not to do some form of training?

He has to turn up I think if he is fit to. I would assume he gets dressed like normal etc but then goes for scans or whatever, idk really, just assuming. He probably is fine tbh, I wouldn't worry. We maybe get news he is fine on Friday or something.

Maybe a bit of physio or non impact cardio work? He's got bruising so wont be anything too strenuous. Its only Tuesday. Ice and rest and maybe some training tomorrow or Thursday on the grass with the squad. Reckon he'll be fine for 3pm Saturday. Thats my professional assessment as an NHS accountant...

I think arteta likes to create doubt when possible.

He's using the fact that Saka was limping to create doubt about whether he will start versus Bournemouth fully knowing that he was going to rest Saka in the cup game

Varane, Amrabat, & Mount coming back from injury is huge.

Apparently Mount's withdrawal at half time was just precautionary.

Varane played two games and they still weren't great. Mount played a few and it seems like nobody is really sure what exact sort of role he has just yet. I've read loads of ManUtd fans saying Amrabat will make a huge difference and maybe he will, but he was a last minute transfer in the window so how significant is he really expected to be? If he was needed that badly, waiting until the very last minute seems like very poor planning from ETH

          1. Piggs Boson
            • 13 Years
            1 year, 3 months ago

Just because the transfer went through towards the end of the window, doesn't mean it was a last minute decision and poor planning. That move had been talked about being nearly completed for months, and that they were waiting for the funds. Fred's departure & the sale of many fringe players like Elanga and Mengi enabled the move to happen.

Amrabat is a proven quality player on the biggest stage.

I think I've paid 6/7 years I've been on here and I actually had premium membership at the start of the season, no idea where it went. That being said it was linked to my YouTube business account (as I used to do FPL content creation) so maybe when I shut that account the payment bounced off of the card. Weird how it took until mid-September to disappear though

      • 13 Years

Yeah, same. Here's some free expected data from the FPL site to help sate your appetite:

      .................xG...........xA.
      Bowen.....2.93........0.54
      JWP.........1.52........0.81

I'd love to know how vulnerable West Ham's opponents are to set pieces though. And pen box touches etc...

JWP only joined GW2 so per 90 stats below:

        Per 90.....xG....... xA...... XGi
        JWP...... 0.31 .....0.17 ...0.48
        Bowen...0.49..... 0.09 ...0.58

So Bowen still worth the extra £ based on that.
