One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.

Spurs defenders don't look worth having / starting before gw17. I am considering selling Udogie for a hit this week, time to sell Cash and perhaps Watkins is getting closer and simply too many transfers on horizon.

Vs 9 men, down two starting defenders..

he didn’t score a hat trick because he is good, nor because he’s part of a good attack. Scored two goals in 670 min from 4 xg all season before being gifted 3 1v1s vs 9 men.

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God

is "Probably because of something you did."

I did Alvarez to Eddie. Taking a hit to get Gordon when you have defender issues doesn't sound like a best idea imho. It's not only who you buy, it's also who you sell. You have game time risk Tsimikas* and long term points risk Beyer*

I’m not convinced by Gordon; got Palmer with tougher fixtures instead. His goal was very fortunate, you should be buying Jolinton, he created the attack and the goal.

      I found this:

"Howe could field Kieran Trippier at left-back and bring Tino Livramento in on the right-hand side but Newcastle were still assessing their options. Howe said: "We are hoping the back four's rhythm." Lewis Hall is the other obvious choice at left-back."

For now, I'd go 4, 3, 1, 2 (assuming Maddison's health). Once Palmer's fixtures clear, I'd probably go 3, 4, 1, 2. But if you have room on yoru team to play matchups with Palmer, I do like that one. He's so cheap that it gives you a lot of flexibility to do what you want elsewhere.

Millions have him. You sound basically saying that since you have Haaland you don't want another player from that team. If players EO is almost / around 100% and you start Trippier every week, then having another New def who rotates with others is not like having Guehi + Andersen double up.

Ideal to take a -4 after the midweek games or go with the safe option?

    a) Morris+ Porro(-4) > Ferguson+ Gabriel
    b) Morris > Nketiah
    c) Porro > Gabriel

    Areola*
    Trippier* Tsimikas Cash Porro
    Salah* Son* Saka* Bowen* Gordon*
    Haaland*

    Turner Morris Archer Kabore

    Trippier / Tsimikas / Cash / Evans / Burn*

Is Gabriel a nailed defender and a worthy replacement of Burn, got exact fund for that or a better replacement around 4.8 max ?

I am not sure about Arteta just resting him because he has had most minutes. Saliba has started every PL game if my nämemory serves. People here think that he is safe, but some of them could be hopeful owners. Lascelles and Livramento need monitoring and there are other options as well. But he is prolly option good enough.

maybe if Cash is confirmed fit, I'll take the risk, at least I have cover
other defender maybe worth a thought is Mitchell

23 points this week. Didn’t think it could get much worse until Kabore and Sarr on my bench got a combined 12 points - sums up the week really!

Hopefully there will be no injury concerns after the Europe fixtures. I only have one flagged player, Cash. Quite relieved about that and perhaps his shoulder is not that bad and Emery made no mention of Cash either.

This was a crazy GW for majority. At least I got one decision right, starting Gordon ahead of Saka.

Bowen to Maddison was an utter fail. Who would have thought TOT vs CHE would turn out the way it did? I have reversed the move now though.

Ohhhh you! You had me going for a second there with the 320kg claim. What is your body weight? 40kg for reps (I am assuming as it’s cross fit) if you’re around 80kg is decent. I would suggest though that your choice of sport is to blame for the pinged shoulder, and not your form in and of itself

OK own up! Who had more points on their bench than in their squad at the end of Sunday's games?

Lots of people had a poor GW and if you scored above the average of 32 you've done very well! Mine wasn't the best but I'll take the 29 points and a 6.45% red arrow and be happy about it especially as I saw a team that scored a total of 3 points! They dropped from 400k to 1.3m :O

It was funny that LiveFPL had my GW points as points gained which made me look for a while as if I was in the top 25k!

Wish it had stayed broken 😆

I had 29 as well and even climbed further up in most leagues..

The average for top 1mio players was probably much lower than 32. LMS safety score 17 seems to confirm this.

Safety score for me was 31, which I hit on the nose. Bench total was 19. I should be happy to take my 3.5% better score.than last week, but the game week did seem increasingly unreal as it unfolded.

Looking at bringing in some Arsenal coverage... after all the chaos of last night I might actually drop Son for a few weeks, to bring in Saka.

    Too much of a risk?

Alternative would be Nketiah for Alvarez, but he seems less consistent.

How would people prioritise Arsenal assets?

    1. PogChamp

Saka and then just White or Saliba

I wouldn’t drop Son for Saka. If you have followed Arsenal games, you would see that Saka is off it. Maybe the injury still has an effect on his performance but 7.7 Martinelli looking sharper.

I will pick Martinelli if minutes managed in CL & if he still looks more of a threat than Saka.

You’re welcome. Saka is the most nailed but poor form. I am using the UCL game as a guide. If he would be a long term pick for you, I think it’s worth picking him from gw 12.

He is playing like an expensive defender. 6,5,6,8 4,2 etc should have blanked 2 games in a row if not for the rigged assist pts. Cheaper midfielders will soon outscore him if he doesn’t increase his goal attempts.

Martinelli is also explosive, only reason I would consider Saka is because he is the most nailed arsenal attacker but leaning towards Mart boy, let’s see how it goes.

Haaland was in training so should be fit for the game this weekend which is good news. Maddison had a knock to his ankle & according to Postecoglou but it was more of a tactical sub.

I saw a clip of City training and Haaland looked fine.

With Pep you just do not know what he has up his sleeve though. I was going to get Doku in for Maddison but just too risky owning more than one City attack with all of them bar KDB being fit.
